3 BASIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Thesesafetyinstructionsdonotconsideranycontingencies
orincidentswhichoccurduringinstallation,operationand
maintenance.
Theoperatorisresponsibleforobservingthelocation-specic
safetyregulations,alsowithreferencetothepersonnel.
Risk of injury from high pressure.
▶Beforeworkingonthesystemordevice,switchothepressure
andventordrainlines.
Risk of electric shock.
▶Beforereachingintothedevice,switchothepowersupply
andsecuretopreventreactivation!
▶Observeapplicableaccidentpreventionandsafetyregulations
forelectricalequipment!
Risk of burns and risk of re if used during long-term operation
through hot device surface.
Thesolenoidcoilcangetveryhotduringlong-termoperation.
▶Keepthedevice awayfromhighly ammable substances and
mediaanddonottouchthedevicewithbarehands.
Risk of explosion.
Thesolenoidcoilandvalvebodyformaclosedsystemafterinstal-
lation.Whenusedinpotentiallyexplosiveatmosphere,thereisarisk
ofexplosionifthesystemisopenedintheoperatingstate.
▶Donotremoveoropenthesystemduringoperation.
Risk of explosion due to electrostatic discharge.
Intheeventofasuddendischargefromelectrostaticallycharged
devicesorindividuals,thereisariskofanexplosioninthepotentially
explosiveatmosphere.
▶Takesuitablemeasurestoensurethatnoelectrostaticdis-
chargescanbuildupinthepotentiallyexplosiveatmosphere.
▶Donotusethedeviceinareaswheretherearepowerfulcharge-
generatingprocesses,mechanicalreamingandcuttingprocesses,
thesprayingofelectrons(e.g.inthevicinityofelectrostaticcoating
equipment)aswellaspneumaticallyconveyeddust.
▶Clean the device surface by gently wiping it with a damp or
antistaticclothonly.
To avoid the risk of explosion, the following must be observed for
operation in potentially explosive atmosphere:
▶Information on the temperature class, ambient temperature,
degreeofprotectionandvoltageonthetypelabelforpotentially
explosiveatmosphere.
▶Installation,operationandmaintenancemayonlybeperformed
byqualiedspecialists.
▶The applicable safety regulations (including national regula-
tions)aswellasgeneraltechnicalstandardsmustbeobserved
duringsetupandoperation.
▶Repairsmayonlybeperformedbythemanufacturer.
▶The device must not be exposed to any mechanical and/or
thermalloadswhichexceedthelimitsspeciedintheoperating
instructions.
▶Beforeopeningtheterminalbox,disconnectthepowersupply.
