Cadco CMLW-C User manual

CMLB-C2RT includes the 2-tiered warming cabinet plus two 4.3 quart stainless
steam pans with one clear pol prop lene rolltop lid.
6. Stainless steam pans ma be used in an oven, but NOT the lids!!!
7. Food placed on warming base or in steam pans should be full cooked and
alread hot. Warming Cabinet is designed for keep-warm function onl . To retain
heat and moisture in foods, keep lid(s) on steam pans when not serving.
8. Foods containing little or no liquid should be kept warm on Low setting, and
stirred periodicall .
9. If using the unit as a regular warming tra /cabinet without the steam pans,
be sure to use containers that are heat-proof. Note: The base is not designed
to keep large, deep pots full of food or liquid warm.
Suggestions for Use:
-Warming tra base is ideal for placing shallow pans right out of the oven to
keep foods warm and read to serve.
-Keep entrees warm while preparing other foods or for serving from.
-Warm plates before serving hot foods on them.
CAR AND CL ANING
Before initial use and after each subsequent use, wash removable parts in warm
suds water, rinse and dr . The Buffet Server clear lids and the warming Cabinet glass
doors are top-rack dishwasher safe.The most effective and safe wa to clean the
warming tra base is with a mild detergent and a soft moist cloth. Do not use an
scouring agents! DO NOT SUBMERGE THE WARMING BASE OR LET THE HEAT
CONTROL COME IN CONTACT WITH WATER.
If there is an food residue remaining on the surface, it should be removed after
each use. To do so, scrub gentl with a fine cleansing pad such as n lon mesh or
other ordinar cleansing pad. DO NOT USE STEEL WOOL OR ABRASIVE
KITCHEN CLEANERS. To polish, use a non-abrasive glass cleaner. An food residue
remaining can be whisked awa with a gentle stroke of a n lon mesh pad. Rinse and
wipe dr . Do not allow water to spill or seep into frame.

WARRANTY
Cadco warrants that this Warming Cabinet be free from defects in material and workmanship
for a period of one year from date of purchase. (Warranty provides repair of unit.) A copy of your
original purchase receipt is required for proof of purchase date. This warranty does not cover
consequential damage of any kind or damages resulting from accident misuse abuse or external
service or repair attempts by unauthorized personnel. Inquiries concerning this warranty and the
use and maintenance of this unit should be directed to Cadco Ltd.
Please note: This Model is a carry-in service item; customer is res onsible for ackaging
the unit securely and returning it to Cadco* for service, along with a copy of your original
purchase receipt, a description of the problem and your name shipping address and phone
number. Ship to: Cadco Ltd. Attn: REPAIR 145 Colebrook River Road Winsted CT 06098. If
shipping the unit for service we recommend that you insure it for its original purchase price. Cadco
is not responsible for damage or loss of unit in transit to us.
Call Cadco at 860-738-2500 for Return Authorization Number BEFORE returning any
item for re air. Return Authorization Number MUST be written on outside of carton to track
the unit and avoid service delays. Warranty covers re airing the unit and returning it to
customer.

HOW TO US
Before using for the first time, become familiar with the Warming Cabinet
features, Figs. C-D). Wash removable parts in warm suds water, rinse and dr .
Clean the warming cabinet base with a mild detergent and a soft moist cloth.

OR LET THE PLUG COME IN CONTACT WITH WATER. Rinse and wipe dr .
Do not allow water to spill or seep into the frame.
Door Assembly:
1. (These models are shipped with the doors unassembled, to prevent breakage
during shipment.) Hold the left door on an angle with fingerhole to the left. (Fig.
A.) Raise the top edge of the door to fit into the top door channel inside the front
cabinet overhang. Then straighten the door and allow the lower edge to drop into
the bottom door channel. Repeat with the right door (Fig. B), holding it so the
fingerhole is to the right. Reverse the procedure to remove doors for cleaning.
Initial Use:
Heat the warming cabinet base without foods on it for approximatel 10
minutes at maximum setting in order to seal the special coating. Temporar
smoking is normal during initial use.
Subsequent Use:
1. Each level is equipped with a separate variable thermostat knob. Levels ma
be operated at different temperatures simultaneousl . Heat range is from 1550
to 2000 F, to keep foods at serving temperatures. For best results, use maximum
heat setting to quickl reach our desired temperature, then adjust to desired
temperature. Set heat level b turning the knob so that the desired knob
marking lines up with the signal light.
2. The light will come on onl during heat c cle. Due to the low wattage necessar
for warming tra s, it can be 20-30 minutes before the light c cles off.
3. You ma use the unit either full assembled with steam pans, (Fig. C) or use
the warming base alone as a warming cabinet (Fig. D).
4. If using steam pans, place the steam pan holder on the warming base before
placing the steam pans in place.
5. Model CMLW-C is the 2-tiered warming cabinet onl . Model CMLB-CSLP
includes the 2-tiered warming cabinet plus three stainless steam pans with
clear lids: one 2.6 quart pan & two 4.3 quart pans. The 2.6 quart pan will hold
up to 25 four ounce servings; the 4.3 quart pans each hold up to 40 four ounce
servings. The clear pol prop lene individual lids have utensil slots. Model
IMPORTANT SAF GUARDS
To reduce the risk of personal injur or propert damage when using
electrical appliances, basic safet precautions should alwa s be followed,
including the following:

2. Do not touch hot surfaces! Alwa s use hot pads or pot holders until unit cools.
3. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse tra base, cord or plug
in water or other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessar when an appliance is used b or near children.
5. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool
completel before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning or storing
the appliance.
6. Do not operate an appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after
the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in an manner.
Return the appliance to the Cadco Factor Service Department
(call 860-738-2500 first) for examination, repair or adjustment.
7. The use of accessor attachments not recommended b the appliance
manufacturer ma cause injuries.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
10. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
11. It is recommended that this appliance not be moved when it contains hot oil
or other hot liquid.
12. Do not clean with metal scouring pads. The can scratch and ruin the
finish of our unit.
13. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
14. DO NOT US PLASTIC DISH S OR PLASTIC WRAP ON TRAY .
SAV TH S INSTRUCTIONS
NOT : A short power suppl cord (or cord set) has been provided to reduce
the hazards resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
Longer cord sets or extension cords ma be used if care is properl exercised
in their use. If a long cord set or extension cord is used, the marked electrical
rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical
rating of the appliance. The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not
drape over the counter top or table top where it can be pulled on b children or
tripped over accidentall .
The high-tech warming surface will remain unblemished for a long time with
appropriate care. The warming surface and high-grade, long-life stainless steam
pans allow for an attractive alternative for keeping appetizers and other foods warm.
For best results use n lon, plastic, wooden or rubber utensils. Metal utensils ma
be used with care but should not be used to cut food on the cooking surfaces.
