Electrical connection - wiring plug code 31
We only supply the 2-pole plug code 31
We do not supply the electrical cable and plug to be connected to the tractor
because the length of the cable may vary signicantly according to the size
of the tank and the position of the socket on the tractor.
The following is a simple explanation on how to properly wire the electrical
cable to our plug, in order not to invert its polarity.
With regards to the plug to be connected to the tractor, following the
manufacturer’s instructions for the model to be used.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
General information
This operation and maintenance manual was prepared according to the
most recent safety regulations.
The owner or operator of the machine must read this manual before starting
the equipment being described.
Working safety is the responsibility of the machine operator.
Failure to observe the safety and operating standards will cause the operator
to be responsible for the damage caused to the equipment or to people,
animals or property.
If doubts arise when reading this manual, contact the nearest dealer or
Casotti directly.
For any request, please specify the data on the plate located on the cover of
the machine.
Safety standards
The user must thoroughly read the technical-operating instructions
pertaining to proper use of the machine.
This manual must be read before operating the machine and must always be
at hand to be referred to.
Safety information must be completed with the specic operating and
maintenance instructions for each individual machine.
For the dealer:
the person in charge of delivering and installing the machine must read
the following manual, understand its content and take the responsibility to
deliver this manual to the end customer.
Important warnings
Do not use the machine without knowing its characteristics.
Do not use the sprayer for purposes other than those for which it is designed;
contact Casotti for clarications about its use, if necessary.
Ensure that all personnel involved in operating the equipment is properly

formed.
The Casotti sprayer is a sprayer of substances that are harmful for humans.
Therefore the operator must remain on the moving vehicle, on the opposite
side of the dispensing area of the pesticide, without allowing any other person
to be in the vicinity of the sprayer. The safety distance varies according to
the operating pressure: as a reference, the average distance is approx. 15
metres.
Do not lubricate, clean and do not repair the machine without rst
disconnecting the electrical and hydraulic connections.
Only one operator at a time must operate the machine.
We recommend handling the pesticides with utmost care, taking all
necessary precautions during use, not just while spraying but also during
the previous stages where the product is prepared and mixed.
We recommend thoroughly reading the entire instructions for the product
to be sprayed since different rules apply according to the degree of toxicity.
Do not use the machine when there are unusual weather conditions and the
danger of heavy storms.
Transport, handling and storage
Check the following upon delivery:
- The bill of materials and the actual content of the package match.
- The package is undamaged, so that any damage due to the
shipping agent can be identied.
Immediately contact Casotti if damage is found.
Since the size and weight are limited, there are no particular precautions for
transport.
Casotti sprayers are normally shipped in a box
of 40 x 28 x 30 cm, with some parts removed.
If machines are delivered on a pallet, there are residual crushing risks due to
the lifting operation.
Unload the machine from the transport vehicle very carefully in order not to
damage the parts of the machine.
We recommend using suitably authorised and qualied personnel to use the
lift truck.
While waiting for installation, the package must be stored indoor in a dry
area to prevent damage to the box and to the sprayer.
If the package needs to be stored outdoors, cover it with a waterproof cover
so that dust, rain and humidity may not cause damage

Use of the machine
The machine called Casotti sprayer in this manual is used to spread pesticides
on grass and tree cultivations, as well as for any cleaning or disinfection.
Use not recommended or approved by the manufacturer is contrary to the
intended use and is considered an improper use.
The machine must not be used in case of wind (over 5 km/h), near waterways or
in other areas that are deemed to be sensitive and vulnerable to contamination
from pesticides.
Pesticides must be used in compliance with the quantity and methods dened
by current regulations in your country.
If the machine is to be used to clean or disinfect, please contact Casotti to
check the operating method and suitability of the product being used.

Warranty
The terms and conditions of the warranty are determined as follows, unless
otherwise specied in the Order conrmation.
Casotti ensures the good quality and manufacture of machines and is
committed to replace or repair all components that show manufacturing
defects for free for the entire period of the warranty.
The warranty period starts with the delivery of the machine to the end
customer.
If the product is defective during the warranty period, the purchase must
immediately inform the dealer and the manufactured of the defect; the
manufacturer will decide, at its sole discretion, how to proceed.
Warranty does not apply to parts that break or wear out due to the following:
- Failure to follow the instructions of the operation
and maintenance manual.
- Lack of or improper maintenance.
- User negligence when operating
the sprayer.
- Use of tools that are not suitable for maintenance.
- Modications or tampering performed or commissioned without an
explicit approval by Casotti.
- Use of non-genuine spare parts.
Materials and wear parts, as well as parts whose duration cannot be
determined beforehand are not covered by the warranty.
The buyer agrees not to be entitled to any claim for damage that may arise,
such as loss of prot or sales, production or harvest, machine downtime
or any other indirect damage. Returns are not allowed without the written
agreement of the manufacturer.
All obligations for transport and shipping in general are the full responsibility
of the buyer.
The warranty has a duration of 24 MONTHS from the delivery date, according
to current regulations.
Aware of the excellent quality and durability of our products, Casotti grants
an extension of the warranty for sprayers up to a total of 48 months.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION - OPERATION
Description of the machine
The Casotti sprayer is designed and manufactured in compliance with
Directive 2006/42/EC.
DUPIGET PRECISION is a 12 V electrical device with horizontal oscillating
jets, suitable for weed-killing and treatments.
Particularly suitable on harsh terrain, slopes, where obstacles are present,
where it is impossible or difcult killing weeds with a standard bar.
The sprayers comprises the machine body and some parts to be assembled:
- 1 SUPER machine body
- 1 Orthogonal joint code 30
- 1 support code 29
- 1 long curve code 12A
- 1 short curve code 40A
- 1 plug code 31
- 2 - revolving square unions code M300
The two curves (code 12A and 40A) mount as standard a round hole nozzle
Ø 2.5 mm and an anti-drip.
The machine body is of the SUPER type: there are three pass-through
stainless steel pipes, a central one oscillating at 110°, an adjacent pipe also
oscillating at 110° and a side one oscillating at 55°.
Nozzles are made of steel or brass, with widia or alumina (ceramic) inserts.
Application to an existing system comprising tank and
pump
DUPIGET PRECISION can be applied to any transported or pulled system,
tted with tank and pump.
We recommend a medium or high pressure pump (minimum 20 bar,
maximum 50 bar) with a minimum ow rate of 50 l/minute.
The sprayer cannot operate with low pressure pumps.
First apply a Ø 48 metal pipe (not supplied) to the tank frame.

Secure the orthogonal joint (code 30) to the pipe, then insert the support
(code 29) in the joint and tighten it.
Apply DUPIGET PRECISION to the support by means of the bolt and nut
supplied with the support. Firmly tighten the bolts to prevent the accidental
fall of the machine.
Position DUPIGET PRECISION so that the jets are perfectly horizontal at
50/60 cm from the ground or the vegetation to be treated.
Electrical connection
A cable sufcient to arrive to a point on the tractor that has a voltage of 12
Volt must be connected to the supplied plug (code 31).
(For a 24 Volt connection, contact Casotti for specic instructions).
A 2 x 1 two-pole cable compliant with current safety regulations must be
used.
Warning:
The supplied plug has 2 numbers at the two poles, visible on the front.
When connecting the cable to the plug, the positive pole must be inserted
into no. 58.
If cables are inverted, the gear motor may be irreparably damaged.
Insert the power plug (code 31) to the socket (code 27) located on the side of
the central body. Actuate the switch (code 28) located on the sprayer body
to ensure that current is supplied.
Always keep at a safe distance from moving parts.
Assembling revolving square unions and curves to the
machine body
From the side of the plate (top), screw in the two square unions to the two
stainless steel central pipes.
Hold the stainless steel with a pair of pliers to prevent forcibly rotating the
internal gear.
To assemble the curves, proceed in the following order:
1) Position the long curve (code 12A) on the central pipe.
Before rmly tightening the nut, actuate the switch to stop the curve at its
maximum rotation on one side.
The curve must be perpendicular to the travel direction, i.e. facing to the left
or to the right.

2) Position the second short curve (code 40A) on the adjacent pipe, in the
opposite direction.
While still holding the stainless steel pipe with a pair of pliers, tighten the
two nuts and check that the two curves cover an angle of 110°
when rotating and cross in the central part.
The proper movement of the two curves is described in the following gure.
Hydraulic connection and maintenance
Pipes coming from the pump must be connected directly to the supplied
revolving square unions (code M300).
Periodically grease the inside of the revolving square union (preferably with
Teon grease). In order to disassemble the square union, remove the Seger
ring on the top.

Distribution
- Principle of calibrated overlap
The continuous overlap of dispensed liquid is the principle behind our
systems, a characteristic that ensures that distribution is uniform also on
particularly harsh grounds.
The unit of measure used to determine the uniformity of distribution is the
CV (Coefcient of Variation), whose value is a percentage.
According to current regulations, CV must be within 0% (absolute uniformity)
and 10%.
Position DUPIGET PRECISION at 50/60 cm from the ground or the vegetation.
The actual operating width, including the side fading, is always approx. 13
m, but the principle of calibrated overlap allows continuing through lanes
with different distances without any issues due to a lack of uniformity of
distribution or excessive dosing.
With 9 m passes, a CV of 8.1% is achieved, with 8 m CV is 3.5% and with
passes every 5 m CV falls event to 1.8%, almost reaching perfection.
DUPIGET PRECISION can be used to operate on a single side, simply by
closing one of the two deliveries.
Use DUPIGET PRECISION with a pressure of 10 bar.

Working on one side only
Dupiget Precision can be used to operate only on the right or only on the
left, by closing one of the two deliveries from the pump.
To calculate the distance to be kept from the edge, remember that the
distribution on the short side, from the centre of the sprayer, is approx. 3 m,
including 1 m of fading.
If used to enter the eld, proceed at approx. 3/4 of the speed the eld is
going to be treated.

Size of droplets
At a pressure of 10 bar, DUPIGET PRECISION generates medium/large
droplets.
By increasing pressure, ne droplets are generated, even smaller than 200 µm.
When using drying agents and weed-killers, do not exceed pressure of 10 bar.
To calculate the quantity of liquid to be sprayed per hectare, see
the following formula:
D = Q x 600 / L x V
where: D= Quantity to spray in l/hectare
Q = Overall ow rate of nozzles in l/min
L= Operating working width
V= Speed
That is:

Replacing nozzles and anti-drip
Nozzle, nozzle holder, anti-drip and bar are all screwed together.
Just unscrew them to replace them.
We recommend using Teon® tape in the thread to prevent leakage.
Do not install nozzles of different sizes in order not to change the distribution
diagram. (e.g. nozzle Ø 1.5 + nozzle Ø 2.5)
The nozzle measure must always be paired.
