Technical information
Professional agricultural sprayer specifically designed to spray new
insecticides against the oil fruit fly (Bactrocera oleae) and the fruit fly
(Ceratitis capitata), with single spots and dosing in millilitres.
FAMILY 30 is fitted with two rods with nozzle to facilitate spraying to
the right, to the left or on both side at the same time.
It includes: a polyethylene tank with maximum capacity of 30 l (useful
capacity 25 l) with full draft and tap; special 12 V pump for viscous
liquids, self-drafting and with Viton diaphragm; agitator; 3 12V – 8
bar solenoid valves, 2 steel rods with adjustable and orientable jet,
control with timer, cables, button, securing brackets.
FAMILY 30 allows spraying pre-set quantities of product in the form
of single sprays (spots). The spots are actuated manually by the
operator directly from the tractor cabin, by means of a button. The
button is connected to the control with timer, which allows setting the
operation of the machine.
FAMILY 30 is small in size and this facilitates its use in areas where
travelling is difficult. Due to the shape and full draft of the tank, it is
particularly suitable for hilly areas.
FAMILY 30 is used to spray pesticides on the foliage of olive and
fruit trees.
If FAMILY 30 is used for other purposes, first contact the manufacturer
to ensure it can be used for those purposes.

Operation
Operation of FAMILY 30
The control and its button are located in the cabin.
The tank unit is fitted to the back of the tractor (or other suitable
vehicle).
The operator must select the suitable timer on the Control in order
to achieve the desired quantity of liquid to be dispensed for each
single spot.
When the button is pressed, the liquid within the tank
is drafted by means of the 12V electric pump.
Dispensing is opened by one solenoid valve, also 12V.
While the spot is dispensed, the solenoid valve controlling the agitator
automatically closes to ensure the proper pressure for the jets.
Operation of control in cabin
1) Turn on FAMILY 30 by means of the main switch ON/OFF.
2) Select one side by means of the lever switch.
Set the timer to approx. 2 seconds and press the button several times
until liquid comes out.
3) Repeat the same operation on the opposite side.
4) Use a measuring cup (supplied) to adjust the timer until the product
dose to be dispensed is achieved for each single spot. We recommend
performing the first calibration by using water only.
The tractor must be on to ensure that the current supplying the entire
machine is constant, ensuring greater adjustment accuracy.
Ensure that nobody can access the tractor and inadvertently engage
the forward movement. The tractor must be in neutral and the brakes
must be engaged to prevent the tractor from moving.
The control includes a switch (circuit washing) that bypasses the timer
and is used to wash the entire circuit (see page 23)

We recommend always paying utmost care during handling, as well
as following the current safety regulations.
There are residual crushing risks due to the lifting operation, we
recommend wearing suitable personal protective equipment.
Unload the machine from the transport vehicle very carefully in order
not to damage the other components.
We recommend using suitably authorised and qualified personnel to
use the lift truck.
We recommend two operators to hold the machine firmly during
handling, since its weight exceeds 25 kg.
If the machine must be secured to the 3-point fitting of the tractor, this
operation must be performed by at least two operators.
The safety pins must be inserted to prevent the machine coming
detached from the tractor.

See the solenoid valve specification and components on page 17.
Since the solenoid valve may become clogged, remove and clean
it thoroughly any time it is necessary. To do so: remove the fitted
solenoid (1), unscrew the bulb (2) by 90° until it clicks, using a pair of
pliers, then thoroughly clean the inside of the solenoid valve. Finally
reassemble all components carefully.
