Note: Remove sticker from display before use.
Note: In the following instructions, names of the control
buttons are shown in CAPS. Function information that appears
on the display is shown in BOLD CAPS.
Battery Installation
Replace battery when LCD becomes dim or alarm
level declines.
1. Remove battery door by turning it
counterclockwise.
2. Install LR44 battery with positive (+) side up.
3. Replace battery door and lock it by turning
it clockwise.
Operating Instructions
A. Set Clock
1. Select CLOCK mode with sliding mode switch.
12:0000AM will appear after inserting battery.
2. Press and hold ENTER approximately
2 seconds until the display ashes.
3. Press CLEAR to toggle between 12-hour,
AM/PM time, and 24-hour, international time.
4. Press HR, MIN and SEC to enter the desired
time. Press and hold button for fast advance.
5. Press ENTER to exit. The PT1A will
automatically exit 3 seconds after the last entry.
B. Count Down
1. Select COUNT DOWN mode with sliding mode
switch. COUNT DOWN will appear on the
display.
2. Press HR, MIN and/or SEC to enter the desired
time. Press and hold button for fast advance.
3. Press START/STOP to start the count down.
Press START/STOP button to interrupt the
count. Press START/STOP button again to
resume the count.
4. When the desired time is reached, alarm will
sound and the timer will start to count up the
“overtime”. OT (OverTime) and COUNT UP
will appear on the display while TIME’S UP
ashes.
5. Press START/STOP to stop the alarm. The
alarm will stop automatically after 60 seconds
while the count up continues.

6. Press CLEAR to reset to 0:0000.
Note: The timer will retain any time showing on the
display when the sliding mode switch is moved to another
position.
C. Count Up
1. Select COUNT UP mode with sliding mode
switch. COUNT UP will appear on the display.
2. Press START/STOP to start the count up.
If desired, the PT1A can count up from any
desired time by entering that time with the HR,
MIN and SEC buttons.
3. Press START/STOP button to interrupt the
count. Press START/STOP button again to
resume the count.
4. Press CLEAR to reset to 0:0000.
5. The PT1A will count up to 99 hours, 59
minutes, and 59 seconds and stop at 0:0000, at
which time an alarm will sound and TIME’S
UP will ash for 60 seconds. Press any button
to stop alarm.
Note: The timer will retain any time showing on the
display when the sliding mode switch is moved to another
position.
D. Programming 4 Events
This device allows 4 different count down timer
settings temporarily or programmed into memory
(T1, T2, T3 and T4) with respective alarm beeping
sequences:
T1: BEEP in 1 second
T2: BEEP BEEP in 1 second
T3: BEEP BEEP BEEP in 1 second
T4: BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP in 1 second
1. Count Down
a. Select PROGRAM TIMER mode with sliding
mode switch. T1 and COUNT DOWN will
appear on the display.
b. Press T1 to enter Timer 1 set mode. T1
on the display will be steady. If a time had
previously been entered in T1, it will appear
on the display. To enter a new time press
CLEAR. If a pre-set time had been entered
into T1 memory, press CLEAR and then
press ENTER to clear memory.
c. Press HR, MIN and/or SEC to enter the
desired time. The edited time setting will
remain there as long as the counting cycle is
not started/completed and user may switch
to other operations.
d. To store time in memory, press ENTER
after entering the desired time. Memory is
required for simultaneous counting.
Note: Any time already in memory will be deleted
when the new time is entered into memory.
e. Press START/STOP to start counting down.
The count may be interrupted by pressing
START/STOP. To resume the count press
START/STOP again.
f. When the desired time is reached, alarm
will sound and TIME’S UP will ash on
the display.
g. Press any button to stop the alarm and reset
to 0:0000.
h. Repeat steps b through g for T2, T3 and T4.
2. Count Up
T1, T2, T3 & T4 can be used as count up timers
starting from 0:0000.
a. Press START/STOP to start counting up
or to pause and resume count.
b. The PT1A will count up to 99 hours,
59 minutes, and 59 seconds and stop at
0:0000, at which time an alarm will sound
and TIME’S UP will ash for 60 seconds.
Press START/STOP to stop alarm.
Note: The timer will retain any time showing on the
display when the sliding mode switch is moved to
another position.
3. 4-Event Simultaneous Operation
T1, T2, T3 & T4 can be used simultaneously.
The T-number for the channel selected will be
steady while other channels counting will be
ashing.
a. To activate T1, T2, T3 & T4 simultaneously,
hold ENTER and press START/STOP.
Timers will start counting down from the
pre-set times stored in their respective
memory or count up
if there is no stored setting.
b. If two or more channels reach zero at the
same time, the channel with the lowest
T-number will sound rst and then the other
channels will sound in descending order.
For example, if T1, T2 and T4 reach zero
simultaneously, T1 will sound rst, then T2,
followed by T4.
c. Press any button to stop alarm.
d. To stop activated timers simultaneously,
hold ENTER and press START/STOP (even
though they were activated individually).
Care of Your Product
• Avoid exposing your timer to extreme
temperatures, water or severe shock.
• Avoid contact with any corrosive materials such as
perfume, alcohol or cleaning agents.
• Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
