1.0 GENERAL
The pins of the CP-425-KIT have to be free from dust, dirt, oil and dampness.
The ideal test temperature was defined at 23°C. However, a test temperature
between 20°C and 26°C is sufficient. Air humidity has to be between 30% r.h. and
80% r.h.
The device as well as the CP-425-KIT has to be stored in the same surroundings for
some time before testing. If you do not comply with these specifications this may
lead to deviations.
This manual declares the test of following devices:
• TMT-425 Digital Textile Moisture Meter
• TMT-425-USB Digital Textile Moisture Meter
2.0 TEST PROCEDURE

the arrow keys.

below.
If the measuring value is blinking in grey, the value is beyond the stated
specifications (please read „possible reasons for errors). If the measuring value is
shown in black, the value is o.k.
Put the black stick (CP-425-2) into the electrode holder as shown in the picture
below.
Now your device should show the value 41,0% (+1,0%, -1,5%) in black, as shown
on the picture below.

3.0 POSSIBLE REASONS FOR ERRORS
Discrepancy in temperature between TMT-425(USB) and the CP-425-KIT
Please ensure that the device and the test block are being stored at
nearly the same temperature before measuring. A high temperature difference has a
negative effect on the stability of the measurement results.
Contact pressure is too low
Please pay attention to a good contact between the pins and the holder
Dirt
The pins of the CP-425-KIT are free from dust, dirt, oil and dampness. If the pins
become dirty, only clean them with a moistened lint-free cloth.
Wrong calibration curve
Please ensure the selection of the calibration curve „test block“ before starting the
testing.
4.0 STORAGE
The sticks can be put together for easy storage.
