requirements.
BEFORE APPLYING POWER
Verify that the power is set to match the rated input of this
power supply.
PROTECTIVE GROUNDING
Make sure to connect the protective grounding to prevent an
electric shock before turning on the power.
NECESSITY OF PROTECTIVE GROUNDING
Never cut off the internal or external protective grounding
wire, or disconnect the wiring of protective grounding
terminal. Doing so will cause a potential shock hazard that
may bring injury to a person.
FUSES
Only fuses with the required rated current, voltage, and
specified type (normal blow, time delay, etc.) should be
used. Do not use repaired fuses or short-circuited fuse
holders. To do so could cause a shock or fire hazard.
DO NOT OPERATE IN AN EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERE
Do not operate the instrument in the presence of flammable
gases or fumes.
DO NOT REMOVE THE COVER OF THE INSTRUMENT
Operating personnel must not remove the cover of the
instrument. Component replacement and internal adjustment
can be done only by qualified service personnel.
1. Dangerous voltage, the output can up to 20kV.
2. Touching theoutputterminal on the front/rear panel or connecting
the circuitto theoutput when the Electrical Safety/Hipot Analyzer
poweris connectedorundertestingstatus mayresult in death.

1. Preface
1.1 Product Overview
HV Contact Check Box is used with Chroma Electrical Safety Analyzer and
Hipot Analyzer for judging if test cable connecting to DUT is correct and
performing contact check function.
The HV Contact Check Box isn’t applicable for 19032-P
floating output mode.

2. Panel Operation
2.1 Description for Input and CONTACT Signal
1. CONTACT Indicator LED: The indicator LED is lighted while test
cables of OUTPUT HV and RTN terminals are connected to DUT
exactly.
2. CONTACT Short-circuit Signal: These two contacts will be short-
circuited while test cables of OUTPUT HV and RTN terminals are
connected to DUT exactly. The maximum short-circuited current flows
through these two contacts which should be less than 0.5A.
3. DC POWER INPUT: 24VDC power input terminal, only can select one
of connectors to supply the power.
Input power 24VDC, 0.75A, please notice the
polarity is + or -.
It applies 24VDC, 0.75A Power supply
adaptor, PLUG: 2.1Φ*5.5Φ, center positive.
4. RTN Input Terminal: Connect the RTN terminal of Safety Analyzer or
Hipot Analyzer to this RTN input terminal.
5. HV Input Terminal: Connect the HV output terminal of Safety
Analyzer or Hipot Analyzer to this HV input terminal.
6. GND Terminal: It is the safety grounding terminal. Please use an
appropriate tool to connect it to earth properly. If it is not properly
grounded, the EST Analyzer chassis may contain high voltage when

the power circuit or any device’s cable is shorted with the grounding
terminal, and it is very dangerous as anyone who touches it may
cause electric shock incident. Therefore, the safety ground terminal
must connect to earth properly. Connect the HV output terminal of
Safety Analyzer or Hipot Analyzer to this HV input terminal.
2.2 Description for Output Function
1. HV Output Terminal: High electric potential terminal of HV output.
Connect these two HV output terminals to DUT simultaneously for
proceeding HV contact check function.
2. RTN Terminal: Common test terminal is a reference terminal as high
voltage testing, i.e. low electric potential terminal. Connect these two
RTN terminals to DUT simultaneously for proceeding RTN contact
check function.
