Assemble the brick cutter as follows:

Arrange the components as shown,
with cutting edge of blade
uppermost
Place the post as shown, over the blade
Slide the upper blade into the
slot in the post, fully - i.e. so that
the outer of the two guides
locates on the rear face of the
post, as shown, and the anvil is
uppermost
Place the brick on to the lower blade
and support, so that the break line is
over the blade and the anvil is
approximately central over the brick.
Strike the anvil hard with a heavy
hammer.

Assemble the brick cutter as follows:
