Please read the entire instruction manual before use and save it for future reference.
We reserve the right for any errors in text or images and for making any necessary
technical changes to this document. If you should have any questions concerning
technical problems please contact our Customer Services.
Safety
• The speaker should not be taken apart or modified. Never try to open thecasing
of thespeaker. The casing houses dangerous current-carrying non-insulated
components. Contact with these can lead to fire or electric shock.
• Do not cover thespeaker. Adequate ventilation, with adistance of at least 5 cm
between ventilation ports and surrounding surfaces, is necessary to prevent
thespeaker from overheating.
• The speaker must only be connected to a220–240V, 50/60 Hz wall socket.
• Make sure that thewall socket that is used is easily accessible, since this is
theonly way to completely disconnect it from theelectrical system.
• Place thespeaker on astable, flat surface.
• Do not place thespeaker in anunstable position where there is arisk that it may
fall into water or other liquids. Do not place any objects containing liquids such as
vases, drinks, etc. onto theproduct.
• Do not place thespeaker in constant sunlight or near naked flames such as wood
stoves, lit candles, etc.
• Place thespeaker where there is no risk of people tripping over themains lead.
• This product is intended for indoor use only.
• Never subject thespeaker to high temperature, dust, heavy vibration, impacts,
damp or moisture.
• Do not abuse themains lead. Never unplug theproduct by pulling on its mains
lead. Always grip theplug itself. Make sure that themains lead does not come into
contact with heat, sharp edges or is crushed in any way.
• Unplug themains lead during thunderstorms or if thespeaker is not to be used for
along time.
• The standby switch on thespeaker does not completely disconnect it from themains.
To completely disconnect thespeaker from themains, theplug must be removed
from thewall socket.
• Protect your hearing. Listening on high volume for prolonged periods can lead to
permanent hearing loss.
• Do not use thespeaker if it or its mains lead is damaged in any way.
• The speaker must only be repaired by qualified service technicians.

Inserting batteries
Note: Never mix old and new batteries. Never mix rechargeable and
non-rechargeable batteries.
1. Remove thebattery cover from theback of theremote control by sliding it in
thedirection of thearrow.
2. Insert 2 × AAA/LR03 batteries. Note thepolarity markings in thebattery
compartment to ensure correct battery insertion.
3. Slide thebattery cover back into place.
Note: Remember to aim theremote control directly at thespeaker and ensure that there
are no obstructing objects in between which might block thesignal. (max range 7 m).
Connecting external devices to theaudio inputs
1. Connect your devices to
theaudio inputs.
2. Switch thespeaker to standby
mode by setting thepower
switch on theback of thespeaker
(15) to theON position. The
standby mode will be indicated
by theLED indicator which will be
lit asteady red. The speaker can
now be switched on using
the[ ] (3) button on thespeaker
or thecorresponding button (28)
on theremote control.
3. Press [AUDIO] (29) on theremote
control or press [ ] (10) on
thespeaker until “AUDIO”
appears on thedisplay.
Examples of connections

Connecting anexternal Bluetooth device
1. Switch thespeaker to standby mode by setting thepower switch on theback
of thespeaker (15) to theON position. The standby mode will be indicated by
theLED indicator which will be lit asteady red. The speaker can now be switched
on using the[ ] (3) button on thespeaker or thecorresponding button (28) on
theremote control.
2. Press [ ] (15) on theremote control or press [ ] (10) on thespeaker until “-bt-”
appears on thedisplay. The blue LED indicator on thedisplay will flash to show that
Bluetooth is activated and that thespeaker can be detected by external devices.
3. Activate Bluetooth on thedevice to be paired with thespeaker.
4. The Bluetooth speaker will appear as DM93B on your device. Select this as
thedevice to be connected. Refer to theinstruction manual of your device for
further clarification if you are unsure.
5. Once connection has been established theflashing blue LED will become asteady blue.
6. Start playback on theexternal device. Set thedesired volume levels both on your
external device and thespeaker. Other playback settings can now be controlled
using theremote control or theexternal device.
Note: If you are prompted to enter aPIN code on your device, you should enter 0000
(four zeroes). Certain devices may also require you to approve theconnection.
Connecting anexternal USB device
1. Connect aUSB memory device to theUSB port (1) of thespeaker.
2. Switch thespeaker to standby mode by setting thepower switch on theback
of thespeaker (15) to theON position. The standby mode will be indicated by
theLED indicator which will be lit asteady red. The speaker can now be switched
on using the[ ] (3) button on thespeaker or thecorresponding button (28) on
theremote control.
3. Press [USB] (19) on theremote control or press [ ] (10) on thespeaker until
“-USB-” appears on thedisplay. Playback will start automatically.
Note: The speaker can only play MP3 files. Any connection leads used must not be
longer than 0.5m.
FM radio
1. Switch thespeaker to standby mode by setting thepower switch on theback of
thespeaker (15) to theON position.
2. The standby mode will be indicated by theLED indicator which will be lit asteady
red. The speaker can now be switched on using the[ ] (3) button on thespeaker
or thecorresponding button (28) on theremote control.
Automatic channel scan
1. Press [SEARCH] (26) on theremote control. The speaker will search thefrequency
range for accessible stations and save them automatically. Press [SEARCH] again
to stop thesearch.
2. Choose between thesaved stations by pressing [l◄◄ ] or [►►l].

Manual channel search
1. Press [◄◄ ] or [►► ] to search thefrequency range in steps of 0.05 MHz.
2. Hold in [◄◄ ] or [►► ] to search for thenext available channel. Press [SEARCH]
again to stop thesearch.
Entering aradio frequency
Press [ ] (37) on theremote control, then enter thedesired radio frequency using
thenumber buttons on theremote control.
Saving thecurrent radio station on thecurrent memory slot
E.g. If you are listening to 99.00 MHz on memory slot 5, press [SAVE] (36) on
theremote control to save 99.00 MHz on memory slot 5.
Saving thecurrent radio station on adifferent memory slot
E.g. If you are listening to 99.00 MHz on memory slot 5 and wish to save it on
memory slot 15.
1. Press [l◄◄ ] or [►►l] or press 15 on thenumber buttons of theremote control
to select memory slot 15.
2. Press [ ] (37) on theremote control and enter 9 9 0 0.
3. Press [SAVE], (36) on theremote control to save your settings.
Care and maintenance
• Unplug themains lead from thewall socket and remove thebatteries from
theremote control if thespeaker is not to be used for along time.
• Clean thespeaker using alightly moistened cloth. Use only mild cleaning agents,
never solvents or corrosive chemicals.

Troubleshooting guide
The speaker will
not switch on.
• Make sure that themains lead is undamaged and is securely
connected to both thewall socket and thespeaker.
• Make sure that thepower switch (15) on theback of
thespeaker is in theON position.
• Ensure that there is power at thewall socket.
The remote control
doesn’t work.
• The batteries could be flat, replace them.
• The remote control is out of range of thespeaker.
• Make sure there are no obstructions between thespeaker
dock and remote e.g. furniture or other large objects.
• The signal form theremote control can be disrupted by
direct sunlight.
No sound. • Check thevolume level on both thedevice and speaker.
If thevolume level on theaudio source is too low,
thespeaker will not detect theinput signal.
• Make sure that thecorrect audio source is selected.
• Check that none of theelectrical cables are damaged and
that they are all properly connected.
• Make sure that aBluetooth connection has been properly
established.
• Test theplayback from your external device before
connecting it to thespeaker to ensure that it works.
• Check to see that you don’t have theMUTE on.
• Try playback using another file format e.g. MP3. The file you
are attempting to play may be incompatible or damaged.
• Pull theplug from thewall socket to disconnect thespeaker
completely from themains. Insert theplug back into thewall
socket.

Säkerhet
• Högtalaren får inte demonteras eller ändras. Försök aldrig öppna högtalaren.
Farlig spänning finns oskyddad på komponenter under höljet. Kontakt med
dessa kan leda till brand eller ge elektriska stötar.
• Täck inte över högtalaren. Tillräcklig ventilation, med ett minsta avstånd på 5 cm mellan
ventilationshålen och omgivande ytor, är nödvändig för att förhindra att högtalaren
blir för varm.
• Högtalaren får bara anslutas till ett vägguttag som har 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz.
• Se till att vägguttaget där nätkabeln ansluts sitter lättillgängligt eftersom nätkabeln

• Placera högtalaren så att den står stadigt på en plan yta.

• Dra ut nätkabeln ur vägguttaget vid åska eller om högtalaren inte ska användas
under en längre period.
• Högtalarens standbyomkopplare är sekundärt kopplad och skiljer inte högtalaren
från elnätet. För att högtalaren fullständigt ska skiljas från elnätet måste högtalarens
nätkabel tas ur vägguttaget.
• Skydda din hörsel. Lyssning med hög volym under lång tid kan leda till bestående
hörselskador.
• Använd inte högtalaren om den eller nätkabeln på något sätt är skadad.
• Högtalaren får endast repareras av kvalificerad servicepersonal.
