2. INTRODUCTION
The instructions in this manual are task-oriented for easy
reference. You can go directly to a particular section and
quickly find the answers. Appendix A (See page 8) lists tubing
loading capacity depending on the maximum rpm of your
MASTERFLEX®L/S®pump drive used with this system.
These multichannel pumps, designed to provide up to eight
simultaneously driven pump channels, incorporate the
following features:
• Simultaneous dispensing through up to eight separate
channels with one set-up and pump cycle.
• Six-roller design that provides reduced pulsation (07534 and
07535 series).
• Three-roller design that provides optimum flow rate
(07536 series).
2.1 APPLICATION DATA
The pump head is designed for multichannel use. See Section
5.1 for listing of flow rate capabilities for different tubing/pump
combinations.
2.2 GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Each Pump Head is constructed with rugged anodized
aluminum frames, stainless steel rotor assemblies, and either
one or two precision machined aluminum occlusion beds.
Occlusion beds are designed to compress the MASTERFLEX
tubing for optimum performance—no occlusion adjustment is
required. Each occlusion bed will accommodate up to 4
channels of microbore or MASTERFLEX L/S precision tubing or
up to 2 channels of MASTERFLEX L/S high performance
precision tubing. Pump Heads can be stacked to allow up to 32
channels of simultaneous pumping, depending on tubing size
and formulation and drive capability. Each Pump Head contains
3 or 6 rollers with shielded stainless steel bearings, and can
quickly mount to most existing MASTERFLEX L/S tubing pump
drives.
3. INSTALLATION
Tool required: long hex key (provided)
Mount the pump head to a MASTERFLEX L /S pump drive as
follows:
1. Connect the Pump Head to the drive by aligning the tang on
the Pump Head (Figure 2) with the slot in the motor drive shaft
and the dowel pins on the drive with the receiving holes on the
Pump Head.
2. Attach Pump Head to drive unit using the long hex key to
tighten the four screws (provided).

3.1 STACKING MULTIPLE
PUMP HEADS
MASTERFLEX L/S Multichannel Pump Heads can be stacked
to provide up to 32 pumping channels from a single drive,
depending on tubing size and formulation and the torque
capabilities of the drive (Appendix A).
Stack multiple heads as follows:
1. Mount first head to drive per previous instructions.
2. Remove the adjustable support foot from the first head.
3. Align the tang and the holes on the back of the second
Pump Head with the slot and the dowel pins on the front of the
first Pump Head.
4. Fasten the Pump Heads together with the four screws
(provided) using the holes in the four corners of the pumps
(Figure 3).

Adjustable support foot may be used to stabilize pump stack.
Rotate the foot on the front pump as required to prevent the
pump and drive from rocking.
4. SETUP
Multichannel Pump Heads accommodate a broad range of
tubing sizes as noted in Section 5.1.
4.1 SELECT TUBING
Depending on which Pump Head is used, up to eight tubing
sets can be teamed up in a single Pump Head. Tubing sizes
can be intermixed within each occlusion bed as long as the
same tubing material is used.
Use only MASTERFLEX two-stop tubing sets (Figure 4)
withMASTERFLEX multichannel tubing pumps to ensure
optimum performance. Use of other tubing may void applicable
warranties.

4.2 TUBE LOADING
WARNING: Turn off drive before removing or

With the drive stopped, follow this procedure to install tubing:
1. Release latch and open occlusion bed (Figure 5).
2. From the top of the Pump Head, insert one end of the
tubing over rollers. While holding occlusion bed, open spring
loaded safety guard enough so that tubing can be inserted
between guard and slotted tubing retainer (Figure 6).
3. Place tubing stop collar into slot to secure (Figure 7).
4. Making sure not to twist tubing, lightly stretch it across
rollers to secure tubing stop collar in corresponding slot on the
opposite end of Pump Head (latch side) (Figure 8).
Repeat the process for additional tubing channels as required.

4.3 TUBING REMOVAL
Follow this procedure to unload the tubing:
1. Turn the drive OFF.
2. Unlatch and open occlusion bed.
3. Pull tubing down from slot to release tubing stop collar
(Figure 9).
4. Release tubing stop collar from corresponding slot from
other side.
Repeat for additional channels.

Bi-directional Pumping
Fluids can be pumped into and back out of containers by
reversing the drive.
Partial Bank Pumping
The pump can be operated with either a partial or full bank of
tubing sets.
5. OPERATION
This section describes the procedures for obtaining the
desired performance.

5.1 SELECT TUBING AND PUMP
HEADS
Use Table 1 (See below) to select the tubing to provide the
required single channel flow rate.
See Appendix B (Page 8) for ordering information on the
MASTERFLEX Two-Stop Pump Tube Sets.
5.2 SELECT PUMP SPEED
Select fixed speed drive or adjust speed of variable-speed
drive to provide desired nominal flow rate within the rpm
speed range shown for the pump model selected.
6. MAINTENANCE
No maintenance is required. Wipe the Pump Head with a
clean cloth and a mild detergent to clean. Never immerse or
use excessive fluid.

8. WARRANTY
Use only MASTERFLEX tubing sets with MASTERFLEX
pumps to ensure optimum performance. Use of other tubing
may void applicable warranties.
The Manufacturer warrants this product to be free from
significant deviations from published specifications. If repair or
adjustment is necessary within the warranty period, the problem
will be corrected at no charge if it is not due to misuse or abuse
on your part as determined by the Manufacturer. Repair costs
outside the warranty period, or those resulting from product
misuse or abuse, may be invoiced to you.
The warranty period for this product is two (2) years from
the date of purchase.
9. PRODUCT RETURN
To limit charges and delays, contact the seller or Manufacturer
for authorization and shipping instructions before returning the
product, either within or outside the warranty period. When
returning the product, please state the reason for the return.
For your protection, pack the product carefully and insure it
against possible damage or loss. Any damages resulting from
improper packaging are your responsibility.

2. INTRODUCTION
Les instructions de ce manuel sont basées sur les tâches afin
de faciliter les recherches. Vous pouvez aller directement à un
chapitre particulier et trouver rapidement les réponses à vos
questions. L’Annexe A (voir page 8) donne la liste des
capacités de charge des tubes en fonction de la vitesse
maximale en tours/mn de votre entraînement de pompe
MASTERFLEX®L/S®.
Ces pompes multicanal, conçues pour offrir jusqu’à huit
canaux simultanés, ont les caractéristiques suivantes :
• Distribution simultanée à travers huit canaux séparés avec
un cycle de pompe.
• Conception six rouleaux offrant des vibrations réduites
(séries 07534 et 07535).
• Conception trois rouleaux offrant un débit optimal (séries 07536).
2.1 DONNÉES D’APPLICATION
La tête de pompe est conçue pour une utilisation multicanal.
Voir paragraphe 5.1 pour la liste des débits en fonction des
différentes combinaisons tubes/pompes.
2.2 DESCRIPTION GÉNÉRALE
Chaque tête de pompe est construite avec des cadres en
aluminium anodisé, des assemblages de rotor en acier
inoxydable et soit un ou deux lits d’occlusion en aluminium
usinés avec précision. Les lits d’occlusion sont conçus pour
compresser les tubes MASTERFLEX pour obtenir des
performances optimales - aucun ajustement d’occlusion n’est
nécessaire. Chaque lit d’occlusion peut prendre en charge
jusqu’à 4 canaux de tubes de précision microbore ou
MASTERFLEX L/S ou jusqu’à 2 canaux de tubes de précision
hautes performances MASTERFLEX L/S. Les têtes de pompe
peuvent être empilées pour permettre jusqu’à 32 canaux
simultanés, selon la taille, la forme des tubes et la capacité de
l’entraînement. Chaque tête de pompe contient 3 ou 6
rouleaux comportant des roulements en acier inoxydable et
peut être montée sur la plupart des tubes d’entraînement
MASTERFLEX L/S.
3. INSTALLATION
Outils nécessaires : clé hexagonale longue (fournie)
Montez la tête de pompe sur un entraînement de pompe
MASTERFLEX L /S comme indiqué ci-après :
1. Connectez la tête de pompe à l’entraînement en alignant le
tenon sur la tête de pompe (Figure 2) avec la fente sur l’arbre
de transmission du moteur et les goupilles de positionnement
sur l’entraînement avec les trous de la tête de pompe.
2. Fixez la tête de pompe à l’entraînement en utilisant la clé
hexagonale pour serrer les quatre vis (fournies).

3.1 EMPILER PLUSIEURS TÊTES DE
POMPE
Les têtes de pompe multicanal MASTERFLEX L/S peuvent
être empilées pour offrir jusqu’à 32 canaux avec un seul
entraînement, selon la taille et forme des tubes et du couple
de l’entraînement (Annexe A).
Empilez les têtes de pompe comme suit :
1. Fixez la tête à l’entraînement en suivant les instructions
précédentes.
2. Retirez le pied ajustable de la première traverse.
3. Alignez les tenons et trous à l’arrière de la seconde tête de
pompe avec la fente et les goupilles de positionnement à
l’avant de la première tête de pompe.
4. Fixez les têtes de pompe ensemble avec les quatre vis
(fournies) en utilisant les trous aux quatre coins des pompes
(Figure 3).

Des pieds de support ajustables peuvent être utilisés pour
stabiliser la pile de pompes. Tournez le pied sur la pompe
principale pour l’empêcher de secouer.
4. MONTAGE
Les têtes de pompe multicanal s’adaptent à une grande variété
de tailles de tubes somme indiqué dans le paragraphe 5.1.
4.1 SÉLECTIONNER LES TUBES
Selon la tête de pompe utilisée, il est possible de monter
jusqu’à huit ensembles de tubes sur une seule tête de pompe.
Les tailles de tubes peuvent être mélangées au sein de chaque
lit d’occlusion tant que le même matériau de tube est utilisé.
Utilisez seulement les ensembles de tubes MASTERFLEX
(Figure 4) avec des pompes multicanal MASTERFLEX pour
assurer des performances optimales. L’utilisation d’autres
tubes peut annuler la garantie.

4.2 CHARGEMENT DES TUBES
AVERTISSEMENT : Coupez l’entraînement de
pompe avant de retirer ou d’installer un tube.
Des caches de protection sont fournis pour
éviter le risque de se prendre les doigts entre
le mécanisme des rouleaux et la base du
module. Cependant, soyez prudent—-
n’approchez pas vos doigts de ces zones.
ATTENTION : Utilisez uniquement les tubes
listés dans l’Annexe B. L’utilisation d’autres
tubes peut provoquer un mauvais
fonctionnement ou endommager la pompe.
Une fois l’entraînement stoppé, suivez cette procédure pour
installer les tubes.
1. Libérez le verrou et ouvrez le lit d’occlusion (Figure 5).
2. Depuis le haut de la tête de pompe, insérez une extrémité
du tube par dessus les rouleaux. Tout en tenant le lit
d’occlusion, ouvrez suffisamment le cache de protection pour
pouvoir insérer le tube entre le cache et le support de tube à
encoches (Figure 6).
3. Placez le collet de butée du tube dans l’encoche pour
l’assurer (Figure 7).
4. En vous assurant de ne pas tordre le tube, étendez-le
légèrement en travers de rouleaux pour assurer le collet de
butée du tube dans la fente à l’extrémité opposée de la tête de
pompe (côté verrou) (Figure 8).
Répétez le processus pour d’autres canaux, si nécessaire.

4.3 ENLEVER LES TUBES
Suivez la procédure suivante pour enlever les tubes :
1. COUPEZ l’entraînement.
2. Libérez le verrou et ouvrez le lit d’occlusion.
3. Tirez sur le tube depuis la fente pour libérer le collet de
butée du tube (Figure 9).
4. Libérez le tube du collet de butée de la fente
correspondante de l’autre côté.
Répétez l’opération pour des canaux supplémentaires.

5.1 SÉLECTIONNER LES TUBES ET
TÊTES DE POMPE
Utilisez la Table 1 (voir ci-dessous) pour choisir les tubes vous
permettant d’obtenir le débit monocanal désiré.
Voir l’Annexe B (Page 8) pour les informations de commande
des ensembles de tubes de pompe MASTERFLEX.
5.2 SÉLECTIONNER LA VITESSE DE
LA POMPE
Sélectionnez la vitesse fixe ou ajustez la vitesse variable de
l’entraînement pour fournir le débit nominal désiré au sein de
la gamme de vitesse, en tours par minutes, indiquée pour le
modèle de pompe choisi.
6. ENTRETIEN
Aucun entretien n’est nécessaire. Essuyez la tête de pompe
avec un chiffon propre et en utilisant un détergeant doux pour
la nettoyer. Ne pas immerger ou utiliser trop de liquide.

réparation ou tout réglage pendant la période de garantie, le
problème sera résolu gratuitement, s’il n’a pas été occasionné
par une mauvaise utilisation ou un mauvais traitement de
votre part, conformément aux indications du fabricant. Les
frais de réparation en dehors de la période de garantie ou
ceux qui résultent d’une maladresse de votre part vous seront
facturés.
La durée de garantie de ce produit est de deux (2) ans à

2. VORWORT
Die vorliegende Bedienungsanleitung wurde nach Aufgaben
gegliedert, um Ihnen das Auffinden der gesuchten
Informationen zu erleichtern. Sie können den betreffenden
Abschnitt direkt aufschlagen. Er enthält alles, was Sie wissen
müssen. Anhang A (siehe Seite 8) enthält eine Aufstellung der
max. möglichen Anzahl an Schläuchen, abhängig von der
maximalen Drehzahl des für Ihr System verwendeten
Masterflex®L/S®Pumpenantriebs.
Die Mehrkanalpumpen sind für den Betrieb von bis zu acht
Pumpenkanälen gleichzeitig geeignet. Sie bieten folgende
Leistungsmerkmale:
• Gleichzeitige Förderung in bis zu acht separaten Kanälen,
mit einem gemeinsamen Einrichtungs- und Pumpzyklus.
• Ausführung mit sechs Rollen, für minimales Pulsieren
(Modellreihe 07534 und 07535)
• Ausführung mit drei Rollen, für optimale Förderraten
(Modellreihe 07536)
2.1 ANWENDUNGSDATEN
Der Pumpenkopf ist für einen Mehrkanalbetrieb ausgelegt.
Eine Aufstellung der maximalen Förderraten in Abhängigkeit
von verschiedenen Schlauchgrößen/Pumpen-Kombinationen
finden Sie in Abschnitt 5.1.
2.2 ALLGEMEINE BESCHREIBUNG
Der Pumpenkopf besteht aus einem stabilen Rahmen aus
eloxiertem Aluminium, einer Rotoreinheit aus Edelstahl und
einem oder zwei präzisionsgefertigten Schlauchbetten. Das
Schlauchbett ist so konzipiert, dass Masterflex®Schläuche
optimal komprimiert werden – ein Ein- oder Nachstellen ist
nicht erforderlich. Jedes Schlauchbett kann max. vier Kanäle
mit Microbore- oder L/S®Precision-Schläuchen bzw. max. 2
Kanäle mit L/S®High Performance Precision-Schläuchen
aufnehmen. Durch Aneinandersetzen mehrerer Pumpenköpfe
können bis zu 32 Pumpenkanäle gleichzeitig betrieben
werden, abhängig von Schlauchgröße, Schlauchmaterial und
Antriebsleistung. Der Pumpenkopf hat, je nach Ausführung, 3
oder 6 Rollen mit geschlossenen Edelstahllagern, und kann
auf praktisch alle bestehenden Masterflex®L/S®
Schlauchpumpenantriebe aufgesetzt werden.
3. INSTALLATION
Benötigtes Werkzeug: Innensechskantschlüssel, lang
(inbegriffen)
Um den Pumpenkopf an einem Masterflex®L /S®
Pumpenantrieb zu befestigen, gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
1. Verbinden Sie den Pumpenkopf mit dem Pumpenantrieb,
indem Sie den Mitnehmer am Pumpenkopf (Abbildung 2) an
der Mitnehmeraufnahme in der Motorwelle und die
Führungszapfen am Antrieb an den Aufnahmebohrungen am
Pumpenkopf ausrichten.
2. Befestigen Sie den Pumpenkopf am Antrieb, indem Sie die
vier Schrauben (inbegriffen) mit dem Innensechskantschlüssel
festziehen.

3.1 ANEINANDERSETZEN VON
PUMPENKÖPFEN
L/S®Mehrkanal-Pumpenköpfe sind stapelbar. Abhängig von
Schlauchgröße, Schlauchmaterial und Drehmoment des
Antriebs können mit einem einzigen Antrieb bis zu 32 Kanäle
betrieben werden (Anhang A).
Um mehrere Pumpenköpfe aneinander zu setzen, gehen Sie
wie folgt vor:
1. Befestigen Sie den ersten Pumpenkopf wie oben
beschrieben.
2. Entfernen Sie den höhenverstellbaren Stützfuß vom ersten Kopf.
3. Richten Sie den Mitnehmer und die Aufnahmebohrungen
des zweiten Pumpenkopfs an der Mitnehmeraufnahme und
den Führungszapfen an der Vorderseite des ersten
Pumpenkopfs aus.
4. Befestigen Sie die Pumpenköpfe aneinander, indem Sie die
vier Schrauben (inbegriffen) in die Löcher an den Ecken
einsetzen und festdrehen (Abbildung 3).

Zur Stabilisierung der aneinander gesetzten Pumpenköpfe
kann ein höhenverstellbarer Stützfuß verwendet werden. Der
Stützfuß wird an der vordersten Pumpe angebracht und durch
Verdrehen so eingerichtet, dass Antrieb und Pumpenköpfe
nicht rütteln.
4. INBETRIEBNAHME
Die Mehrkanal-Pumpenköpfe sind für viele verschiedene
Schlauchgrößen geeignet – siehe hierzu Abschnitt 5.1.
4.1 AUSWAHL DES SCHLAUCHS
Abhängig von der Art des eingesetzten Pumpenkopfs können
bis zu 8 Schlauchsätze in einem einzigen Pumpenkopf
verwendet werden. In jedem Schlauchbett können
verschiedene Schlauchgrößen kombiniert werden,
vorausgesetzt, alle Schläuche sind aus dem gleichen Material.
Verwenden Sie in Masterflex®Mehrkanal-Schlauchpumpen
ausschließlich Masterflex®Schlauchsätze mit 2 Stoppern
(Abbildung 4), um eine optimale Leistung zu gewährleisten.
Bei Verwendung anderer Schläuche kann die Garantie
unwirksam werden.

4.2 EINLEGEN DES SCHLAUCHS
WARNUNG: Vor dem Einlegen oder Entfernen
von Schläuchen immer den Antrieb
ausschalten! Die Fördermechanik ist mit
einer Schutzvorrichtung versehen, die
verhindern soll, dass Sie Ihre Finger
zwischen Rollensystem und Modul bringen
können. Aus Sicherheitsgründen sollten Sie
aber auf keinen Fall in diesen Bereich
hineingreifen.
VORSICHT: Verwenden Sie ausschließlich die in
Anhang B aufgeführten Schläuche. Die
Verwendung anderer Schläuche kann zu
Fehlfunktionen führen oder Schäden an der
Pumpe verursachen.
Vergewissern Sie sich zunächst, dass der Antrieb
ausgeschaltet ist. Gehen Sie dann wie folgt vor, um den
Schlauch einzulegen:
1. Verriegelung lösen und Schlauchbett öffnen (Abbildung 5).
2. Ein Ende des Schlauchs von oben über die Rollen einlegen.
Schlauch festhalten und gleichzeitig die federbetätigte
Sicherheitsvorrichtung so weit öffnen, dass der Schlauch
zwischen der Sicherheitsvorrichtung und der
Schlauchhalterung durchgeführt werden kann (Abbildung 6).
3. Stopper am Schlauch in den Klemmschlitz an der
Schlauchhalterung stecken (Abbildung 7).
4. Schlauch über die Rollen führen und auf der anderen Seite
des Pumpenkopfs (dort, wo sich die Verriegelung befindet) in
den Klemmschlitz stecken (Abbildung 8).
Achten Sie dabei darauf, dass der Schlauch nicht verdreht ist.
Obige Schritte gegebenenfalls für weitere Schläuche
wiederholen.
