1.Introduction
Thankyoufor purchasingtheHands-Free expandableVideoIntercom
SystemHFX-700M.
For moreinformationregardingthecompletelineofourproducts,
pleasevisit www.comelitusa.com
Thisintercom system uses2-wireinstallationandallowsyoutoidentify
andcommunicatewithcallersat thedoor, fromthesecurity and
convenienceofanyroom inyourhomeor office. Visitorsactivatethe
systemby pressinga call buttonontheoutdoor camera,whichsounds
a doorbellchimeaswell asturningontheinsidevideomonitor.
Atwo-way intercom thenletsyouspeakwithvisitorsafterfirst visually
identifyingthem.
It consistsofa monitor stationandanoutdoor doorbell/camera unit.
Thisunit iscapableofexpandinguptoa total of4indoor monitorsand
2door cameras. Expansionmonitorsavailablefor thissystem comein
twomodels,video(EX-700H) or Audio only (EX-700A).

2.2.1.VisitorCallsfromDoorCamera
A.WhentheCall buttononthecamera ispressed, All monitorsonthe
systemwill ringwitha chimesoundandall monitorswillbeactivated.
B.Afterthecall, ifnothingonthemonitor ispressed,thesystem will time
out after30seconds. Ifthemonitor buttonispressed,thesystem
will stay activefor 90seconds.
C.Youareabletoterminatetheactivityonthemonitor atany timeby
pressingtheCut-offbutton.
D.Pressdoor releasebuttonfrommonitor canreleaseremotedoor
strikeat door camera.
Operatingthevideointercomsystem consistsofrespondingtovisitor
callsfromdoor camera, releasingadoor strikefrom indoor monitor;
audioandvideomonitoringfromany indoor monitor; voicebroadcast
from onemonitor toall others; engageintercom functionaftervoice
broadcast.
2.2.2.AudioandVideomonitoring
A.Pressingthemonitor buttonwill turnontheaudioandvideofrom
door camera.
B.Ifthereisa seconddoor cameraonthissystem, pressingtheMonitor
buttonagainwill scroll theimagetothesecondexpansiondoor
camera.
Atanytimeifyouwishtoterminatethemonitoring,presstheCut-off
buttontoterminatethesystem.

switchtopush-to-talk mode.Inthismode, pressingtheMonitor Button
(CommunicationLEDwillturnon)willactivatetheone-way voice
communicationtothedoor camera; releasingtheMonitor Buttonand
(CommunicationLEDturnsoff )allowfor one-way voicecommunication
tocomeinfrom thedoor camera tothemonitor.
C.Thisfunctioncanbeuseful whentheenvironment at door cameraside
becomestoo noisy.

3.2.1.Broadcastandintercomfunction
A.Whensystem consistsofmainmonitor andexpansionmonitor andan
outdoor doorbell/camera unit,thesystemcanprovideintercom function.
B.Presstheintercombuttonfrom any monitor, allothermonitorswill
reactbymakingbellsound. Atthesametime,hostcanspeakand
broadcastvoicemessagetoall othermonitors.
C.Thebroadcast modecanlast for 20 seconds. Duringthe20seconds,
any othermonitor cananswerthecall by havingtheintercom button
pressedinordertoengagetheintercom communication. Oncethe
intercomcommunicationhasbeenestablished,talk timeisfor a
maximum of90seconds.Thisfunctionprovidesaudiointercom
communicationonly, monitorswill notshowany video.
D.Atanytimeifyouwishtoterminatethemonitoring,presstheCut-off
