1. INSTALLATION
1.1 Machine presentation

1.2 Water supply connection
Main water supply: Water shut-off tap compulsory. Connection: 3/8
Water treatment BRITA recommended
Connect the hose + gasket as shown below,
Connect the drain hose to the bassin outlet,
Open the water supply tap.
Check that there is no leaking before connecting the power supply.
Freestanding version: KIT SOLO: see chapter 14: option Kit solo

Connect the machine to the power supply observing the wires Phases / Neutral / Earthing.

1.5 First installation – Coffee boiler filling
For the first installation the coffee boiler has to be filled. This operation has to be carried out by a
technician of the CONTI network with the Technical card.
(See chapter 2 - presentation of the control panel).
The display shows:
Insert the Technical card into the reader (under the control panel). The display will show:

Press ENTER to fill the coffee boiler. The display will show:

When water is coming out from the coffee outlet, press the blinking key to stop the filling.

1.6 Safety for the user
In order to have an optimal use of the machine, some safety devices have been put in the machine:
IWhen the user remove the coffee ground drawers:
2 cases :
If the user remove the coffee ground drawer when the machine is on a waiting mode:
The machine return to a normal functionning when the user replace the drawer
(Do not forget to empty it, because the coffee ground counter is erased after 10 secondes)
If the user remove the coffee ground drawer when the machine is making a coffee:
The machine finishes the coffee in progress
The coffee group do not eject the coffee ground. There is no piston moving
The machine wait for the coffee ground drawer, to be replaced.
The machine come back to the "waiting mode" when the user put the coffee drawer
The On/Off touch must be pushed to activate the machine
(as the same: Do not forget to empty the coffee drawer,…)
II When the user opens the door :
When the user opens the door, the machine stops any operation immediately.
The machine goes back in waking state, when the user closes again the door.
The display shows:
To reactivate it, it is necessary to press on button ON/OFF located under the machine.

2.1.2 Control panel
RINSING / CLEANING :
Simple click: to carry out 1 or several Rinse cycles according to the programmation.
Keep pressed 5 sec: to carry out 1 or several Clean cycles according to the programmation.
STEAM :
Simple click: Delivers steam for a programmed time T1 (to be programmed).
Double click: Delivers steam for a programmed time T2 (to be programmed).
HOT WATER:
Simple click: Delivers hot water for a programmed time T1 (to be programmed).
Double click: Delivers hot water for a programmed time T2 (to be programmed).
8 PRODUCT BUTTONS:
To deliver coffee beverages (according to the machine version)
Double click: same product delivered
But different quantities (to be programmed)
Usually used for double quantity of a product

2.2 Switch on & off
Switch on:
Machine switched off: the display shows:
Press ON/OFF under the machine. The group will be initialized. The display will show for a moment:
Then the display will show:
The asterisks indicate that the machine is heating.
Left asterisk: coffee boiler
Right asterisk: steam boiler
When the machine reach within 3 minutes the required temperature, the left asterisk disappear. The
machine is ready for coffee delivery.
Switch OFF:
The machine has to be switched OFF when it is not used.
Shut the main water supply.
Press ON/OFF under the machine to switch off the machine:
The display shows:
Programmation of AUTOMATIC ON/OFF SWITCHING:
(See chapter 3: programmation)
Stillstand of the machine for a certain period:
Disconnect the power supply (remove the electric cord)
Shut the main water supply
If the temperature goes below 5°C, empty the water circuit in the machine.

2.3 Delivery of beverages
2.3.1 Coffee delivery
The machine is switched on and ready.
The display shows:
Place the cups beneath the coffee outlet:
Press the coffee button:
Simple click: one espesso
Double click: 2 of the same product
(if the option is activated)
The display will show the product delivered:
For example: double click on Espresso button
Remove the cups:

2.3.2 Decaf delivery – decaf slot
With the measuring spoon fill into the slot a
measure of decaffeinated coffee powder (8 grams)
The machine is switched on and ready.
The display shows:
Place the cups beneath the coffee outlet:
Press the Decaf button:
No double click for this function.
The display will show:
At this moment:
Open the slot cover.
Insert the coffee ground with the measuring spoon
Press again the decaf button.
(If the button is not pressed within 10 seconds, the machine will be reinitialised)
The decaf is delivered.
The display shows:
When the cycle is finished remove the cups:

2.3.3 Tea delivery
The machine is switched on and ready.
The display shows:
Place a pitcher beneath the water outlet:
Press the tea button:
The hot water is flowing.
The display shows:
Simple click or double click: delivery of different measures:
The measures are controlled by the flow time (sec)
The cycle is finished when the programmed
measure is reached. The display shows:
Remove the pitcher:

2.3.4 Heating-up a product with steam
The machine is switched on and ready.
The display shows:
Plunge the steam wand into the cup or the pitcher:
Press the steam button:
The machine delivers steam.
The display shows:
Simple or double click: delivery of different
quantities of steam.
The quantity is controlled by the delivery time (sec).
When the delivery time is passed, the steam
delivery will stop.
Remove the pitcher.

2.3.5 Cappuccino delivery
The machine is switched on and ready.
The display shows:
Place the cappuccino cup beneath the outlet.
Adjust the height of outlet according to the height of
the cup.
Press the Cappuccino button:
Simple click: 1 cappuccino
Double click: a double cappuccino
(if the option is activated)
The display will show the product delivered:
Remove the cup when the cycle is finished:

2.4 Rinsing
The rinsing has to be carried out regularly (see chapter Maintenance)
After a certain number of coffees delivered
After a stillstand of the machine
The machine is switched on and ready.
The display shows:
The rinse button is at the right upper side
Press the RINSE button (simple click)
The machine carries out a rinse cycle.
The display shows:
According to the machine parameters:
1 or several cycles can be carried out.
The rinse cycle can be programmed automatically (see programmation).
The cycle includes several pauses:
The machine seams to be waiting, the rinsing is not yet finished.
The cycle is finished when the display shows:
