the pan detector.
RMetallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids should not
be placed on the hob surface since they can get hot.
RNever use water to put out burning oil or fat. Switch o󰀨 the hotplate.

RWARNING: Only clean the hob when it has cooled down su󰀩ciently.
When the power to the cooktop is switched o󰀨, there will be no
residual heat indication but the cooking zone may still be hot. Take
extreme care!
RWARNING: Unattended cooking on a hob with fat or oil can be
dangerous and may result in re. NEVER try to extinguish a re with
water, but switch o󰀨 the appliance and then cover ame e.g. with a
lid or a re blanket.
RCAUTION: The cooking process has to be supervised. A short term
cooking process has to be supervised continuously.
RWARNING: Danger of re: do not store items on the cooking
surfaces.
RWARNING: Use only hob guards designed by the manufacturer
of the cooking appliance or indicated by the manufacturer of the

This hob can be plugged directly into a mains power outlet using the 3 pin (UK) or
2 pin (EU) plug supplied.

Note: The electrical cable required for conversion to permanent wiring is not
supplied.
If you use the hardwired version, the appliance must be connected directly to the
mains using an omnipolar circuit breaker with a minimum opening of 3 mm between
the contacts.
The installer must ensure that the correct electrical connection has been made and
that it complies with the wiring diagram.
The cable must not be bent or compressed.
Regularly check the the mains connection and power cord for damage. If the supply
cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or
similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a safety hazard.

This appliance requires a 32 Amp Miniature Circuit Breaker when operating in
high power mode.
To avoid the risks that are always present when you use an electrical appliance it
is important that this appliance is installed correctly and that you read the safety
instructions carefully to avoid misuse and hazards. Please keep this instruction
booklet for future reference and pass it on to any future owners. After unpacking the

The manufacturer declines all liability for damage caused to persons and objects
due to incorrect or improper installation of the appliance. Any permanent electrical
installation must comply with the latest wiring regulations applicable to your country
and for your own safety a qualied electrician or contractor should undertake the
electrical installation.
When connected to a mains outlet using the factory tted plug, the software will limit
the hob maximum power to 2800W. Once congured as a permanent installation,
the maximum power output is 6400W.

REPLACING THE CABLE
1. Remove the screw and terminal cover.
2. Remove the factory tted cable and replace it with the correct grade for the
permanent installation as per the connection diagram above.
WARNING: DO NOT CONVERT THE HOB TO HIGH POWER WHILST STILL
CONNECTED WITH THE FACTORY FITTED CABLE AND PLUG.
ENSURE THE CABLE CONVERSION HAS BEEN COMPLETED BEFORE
PROCEEDING TO THE SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION.
FAILURE TO DO THIS THIS WILL DAMAGE THE HOB AND INVALIDATE YOUR
WARRANTY!

SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION
1. Turn on the hob using the ON / OFF
key. The hob will show “-” on each
cooking zone.
2. Touch the front left zone key and the
Timer key together for three seconds.
The hob will beep and show “5” in the
timer display.
3. Touch the Timer key once and the
display will change to “5E”.
4. Touch the front left zone key and the
Timer key again and the two front
zones will indicate “2” and “8”. This is
the factory setting of 2800W.
5. Touch the front left zone key to
switch the display to “6” and “4”. This
indicates high power at 6400W.
6. Touch the Timer key again to nish
conguration.
Note: If required, the hob can be converted back to a plugged version by following
the cable conversion and software steps above again.

At Cooke and Lewis we take special care to select high quality materials and use
manufacturing techniques that allow us to create ranges of products incorporating
design and durability. That’s why we o󰀨er a 2 year guarantee against manufacturing
defects on our Hob.
This Hob is guaranteed for 2 years from the date of purchase, if bought in store, or
delivery, if bought online, for normal (non-professional or commercial) household
use and without additional charge.
You may only make a claim under this guarantee upon presentation of your sales
receipt or purchase invoice. Please keep your proof of purchase in a safe place.
The guarantee covers all parts and labour costs associated with the repair of the
hob, if it is found to be defective due to faulty materials or workmanship within
2 years from the date of purchase or delivery subject to the exclusions set out
below and provided it was used for the purpose for which it is intended and subject
to installation, cleaning, care and maintenance in accordance with the information
contained in the user manual. This guarantee does not cover defects and damage
caused by normal wear and tear of the hob and damage that could be the result of
improper use, faulty installation, storage or assembly, neglect, accident, modication
of the product, consumable items such as carbon lters and bulbs.
If the Hob is defective, we will repair it. However, if, during the guarantee period,
the hob becomes irreparable as agreed by an engineer approved by our authorised
agent then we reserve the right, at our discretion, to exchange the defective hob with
a replacement hob. If the same hob is no longer available an alternative hob will be
o󰀨ered with the equivalent functions and specications.
During the service work carried out it may be necessary to remove the built in hob
from its tted position. If the hob is glued, grouted or tiled in such a manner that
it cannot be removed, it is the responsibility of the customer/installer to remove
and reinstall the hob to facilitate the repair or replacement. After the hob has been
repaired or replaced any remaining balance of the guarantee period will apply to the
repaired or replaced hob.
Should any person other than an engineer approved by our authorised agent modify
or attempt to repair the hob then the guarantee will be invalid. This guarantee only
applies to the country of purchase or delivery and is not transferrable to any other
countries. This guarantee is non-transferrable to any other person or product.
Relevant local law will apply to this guarantee.
This guarantee is in addition to and does not a󰀨ect your statutory rights relating to
faulty goods as a consumer.

RRisque de brûlures ! La plaque chau󰀨ante et la zone l’entourant
deviennent très chaudes. Ne jamais toucher les surfaces chaudes.
Lorsqu’une zone de cuisson a été utilisée, la surface reste chaude
encore un certain temps. Veiller à ne pas toucher la surface chaude
et à ne pas y placer d’objets.
RAprès utilisation, éteindre la plaque de cuisson à l’aide des
commandes et ne pas se er au détecteur de casserole.
RIl convient de ne pas placer d’objets métalliques, tels que des
couteaux, des fourchettes, des cuillères et des couvercles, sur la
surface chaude car ils peuvent devenir chauds.
