Before you start
> Keep this manual in a convenient place so you can always refer to it for
the safe and proper use of the appliance.
> If you sell the appliance, give it away, or leave it behind when you move
house, make sure you also pass on this manual so that the new owner
has the relevant information.
> Check the package and make sure you have all of the parts listed.
> Decide on the appropriate location for your product.
> This product contains glass. Care must be taken when tting or handling
to prevent personal injury or damage to the product.

Safety
These instructions are for your safety. Please read through them thoroughly
prior to installation and retain them for future reference.
Electrical risk
This symbol indicates electrical warnings of a safety risk or of
serious and fatal injuries.
Risk of hot surfaces
This symbol indicates that warnings of a possible security risk or
serious burn injuries.
Caution
This symbol indicates a warning of possible damage to the
machine or hazards identied.
All installation work must be carried out by a competent person or
qualied electrician.
This appliance complies with all current European safety
legislation, however, the Manufacturer must emphasise
that this compliance does not prevent the surfaces of the
appliance from heating up during use and remaining hot
during its operation.
Therefore, the Manufacturer highly recommends that this
appliance be kept out of the reach of babies and small
children.
Accessible parts may become hot during use. Young
children should be kept away. Care should be taken to
avoid touching the appliance (e.g hob, cooker).
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
Do not allow children or inrm persons to play with
appliance or packing materials. Please follow local
regulations regarding disposal of the appliance due to
its ammable refrigerant and gas. Before you scrap the
appliance, please remove the doors to prevent trapping
things inside.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical sensory, or
mental capabilities, or by those who lack experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
and instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
Anyone who has been tted with a heart pacemaker
should consult a doctor before using the ceramic hob.
This hob complies with all current standards on electro-
magnetic safety and is in keeping with 89/336/EC legal
requirements & Directives.
Do not allow the electric cables to touch the hot parts of
the appliance.
Make sure that the power cord is not caught under or in
the appliance and avoid damage to the power cable.
Means for disconnection must be incorporated in the
xed wiring in accordance with the wiring rules. An all-
pole disconnection switch having a contact separation of
at least 3 mm in all poles should be connected in xed
wiring.
Do not use ammable sprays in close vicinity to the
appliance.
Please dispose of the packing material carefully.
We also recommend that great care be taken during
use and cleaning. Read the cleaning and maintenance
sections for this appliance carefully.
A steam cleaner is not to be used.
The appliance is for domestic use only.
Appliance is not intended to be operated by means of
external timer or separated remote-control system.

Remove all the packing materials plus disposal statement.

Caution
Good ventilation is required around the appliance
for easier dissipation of heat and low power
consumption.
Sufcient clearance is required around the
appliance.
The appliance should not be placed near anything
that may echo.

Hob Installation
Caution
The ceramic hob must be installed by a
suitably qualied person. Never try to install
the appliance yourself. The ceramic hob must
not be installed above refrigerators, freezers,
dishwashers or tumble dryers. The wall and
the area above the hob should be able to
withstand heat.
> Cut a hole in the worktop of the size shown in the diagram. The worktop
should be at least 30 mm thick and made of a heat-resistant material.
Seal cut edge of the worktop with silicone or PVA.
> Attach the brackets and place the hob into the cut out and push down
rmly.

Warning
Damaged power cords must be replaced by a
competent person or qualied electrician.
Caution
These appliances are classied as Class I.
The earth is obligatory as provided for by law.
The manufacturer declines all liability in the
event that the accident prevention rules have not
been followed.

Caution
This appliance must be wired to a all pole
disconnection switch with protected socket,
which has a 3 mm separation between contacts
and is placed in an easily accessible place next
to the appliance.
• The appliance is connected to an earthed
socket.
Caution
• The cord should not be extended or folded
into coil during operation.
• Adapters, multi-socket strips and
extension leads must not be used.
• Overloading could result in a risk of re.
Caution
The surface of the appliance becomes quite hot
when operating.
This could alter the electrical insulation and could
cause electricity leakage.
> All installation work must be carried out by a competent person or
qualied electrician.
> Before connecting the mains supply ensure that the mains voltage
corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate inside the cooker hood.

Direct Connection
> If the appliance is being connected directly to the mains an omnipolar
circuit-breaker must be installed with a minimum opening of 3 mm
between contacts.
> If the cable is damaged or to be replaced,the operation must be carried
out the by a qualied electrician with dedicated tools to avoid any
accidents.
> The installer must ensure that the correct electrical connection has been
made and that it complies with wiring diagram.
> The cable must not be bent or compressed.

Operation
Product functions
> The induction hob caters for all kind of cooking, with its electromagnetic
cooking zones and its electronic touch controls and multi-functions,
making it the ideal choice for the modern family.
> The induction hob is extremely user-friendly, durable and safe.
Working principle
> The induction hob comprises a coil, a hotplate made of ferromagnetic
material and a control system. Electrical current generates a powerful
magnetic eld through the coil. This produces a large number of vortices
that, in turn, generate heat that is then transmitted through the cooking
zone to the pan.
Special functions
Protection from over-heating
A sensor monitors the temperature in the cooking zones. When the
temperature exceeds a safe level, the cooking zone is automatically switched
off.

Detection of small or non-magnetic items
When an unsuitably sized or non-magnetic pan (e.g. aluminium) or some
other small item (e.g. knife, fork, key) has been left on the hob, the hob
switches automatically to standby one minute later.
Residual heat indicator
When the hob has been operating for some time, there will be some residual
heat. The letter “H” appears to warn you that it is too hot to touch the surface.
Auto shutdown
Another safety feature of the induction hob is auto shutdown. This occurs
whenever you forget to switch off a cooking zone.
The default shutdown times are shown in the table below:

When the pan is removed from the cooking zone, it stops heating
immediately and switches itself off after the buzzer has sounded for one
minute.

Preparation before use
> When the power is switched on, the buzzer will sound once and all the
indicators will switch on for one second and then switch off. The hob is
now in standby mode. Place the pan in the centre of the cooking zone.

Caution
• When the ON/OFF key (E) is pressed, the induction hob
returns to standby mode if no other operation is carried out
within one minute.
• The four zones can take a maximum power of 3000 W.
Consequently, the hob automatically reduces the maximum
output power by allowing a maximum sum of total power
levels of 12.
Heating zone operation
When the ON/OFF key (E) is pressed, all the indicators show "-".
1. Select the power level by pressing the
"+" (C) or "-" (B) key for the relevant
hotplate.
2. The indicator initially displays "5".
3. Adjust up or down by pressing the "+"
(C) or "-" (B) key.
4. If you press the "+" (C) and "-" (B)
keys simultaneously, the power setting
returns to "0" and the entire cooking
zone switches off.
5. See the table on Page 6 for the power
specic to each cooking zone.

Timer function
1. Press the timer key (F) and the
indicator will start to ash.
2. Then set the time for between 1 and
99 minutes by pressing the "+" (C)
and "-" (B) keys.
3. Pressing the "+" (C) key once
increases the time by one minute;
pressing the "-" (B) key once
decreases the time by one minute.
4. When the set time exceeds 99
minutes, it will automatically return to "0" minutes. If the "-" (B) and "+"
(C) keys are pressed simultaneously, the indicator will display "0".
5. Once the set time has elapsed the zone will automatically turn off.
Timer conrmation
1. Select the power level of the cooking
zone and then press the "Timer" (F)
key. The timer can now be set.
2. When the timing indicator has been
ashing for 5 seconds, the set time
will be automatically conrmed.
3. After selecting a set time, conrm by
pressing the "Timer" (F) key.
Timer cancellation
After setting the time again, hold down the "Timer" (F) key for 5 seconds.
This will cancel the timer and the indicator

Safety mode (Child lock)
To ensure the safety of children, the induction hob is tted with an interlock
device.
To lock:
1. Hold down the "Lock" (D); the hob
then switches to "Lock" mode.
2. The timer displays "LOW" and the
rest of the keys are disabled except
the "ON/OFF" key.
Unlocking :
1. Hold down the "Lock" (D)
key for 2 seconds and the
hob will return to normal working
mode.
The above may vary according to the size of the pan and the material from
which it is made.
Selection of heating appliances
Caution
The base of the pan must contain magnetic material. It must
have a at bottom with a diameter of over 12 cm.
