Caution:
• The induction hotplate must be installed by qualied personnel or technicians. Please never
conduct the operation by yourself.
• The hob must not be installed directly above a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine or
clothes dryer, as the humidity may damage the hob electronics.
• Do not attempt to dismantle the appliance, there are no user servicable parts inside.
• At the end of its life, the appliance should not be disposed of in household waste; contact your
Local Authority for guidance.
IMPORTANT
This hob can be plugged directly into a mains power outlet using the 3 pin (UK) or
2 pin (EU) plug supplied.
Follow the instructions below carefully regarding siting of the hob.
ANY CONVERSION TO A PERMANENT WIRED VERSION USING AN ISOLATION
SWITCH MUST ONLY BE CARRIED OUT BY A PROFESSIONAL INSTALLER -
SEE THE ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION SECTION LATER IN THIS MANUAL.
• This hob must be connected to the mains power supply only by a suitably qualied person.
• Before connecting the hob to the mains power supply, check that:
1. the domestic wiring system is suitable for the power drawn by the hob.
2. the voltage corresponds to the value given in the rating plate.
3. the power supply cable sections can withstand the load specied on the rating plate.
• To connect the hob to the mains power supply, do not use adapters, reducers, or branching
devices, as they can cause overheating and re.
• The power supply cable must not touch any hot parts and must be positioned so that its
temperature will not exceed 75ºC at any point.
• The work surface is square and level, and no structural members interfere with space
requirements.
• The work surface is made of a heat-resistant material.
• If the hob is installed above an oven, the oven has a built-in cooling fan.
• The installation will comply with all clearance requirements and applicable standards and
regulations.
• A suitable isolating switch providing full disconnection from the mains power supply is
incorporated in the permanent wiring, mounted and positioned to comply with the local wiring
rules and regulations. The isolating switch must be of an approved type and provide a 3 mm air
gap contact separation in all poles (or in all active [phase] conductors if the local wiring rules
allow for this variation of the requirements).
• The isolating switch will be easily accessible to the customer with the hob installed.
• You consult local building authorities and by-laws if in doubt regarding installation.

• You use heat-resistant and easy-to-clean nishes (such as ceramic tiles) for the wall surfaces
surrounding the hob.
• The power supply cable is not accessible through cupboard doors or drawers.
• There is adequate ow of fresh air from outside the cabinetry to the base of the hob.
• If the hob is installed above a drawer or cupboard space, a thermal protection barrier is installed
below the base of the hob.
• The isolating switch is easily accessible by the customer.
• The hob should be xed into the worktop using the xing brackets and sealing tape supplied with
the appliance. Do not use silicone sealant or PVA to secure the hob. Doing so will prevent an
engineer removing the appliance to facilitate a repair.

Caution! Before drilling it is extremely important to check the wall for hidden pipes, electrical
cables etc using an appropriate detection device.
Warning: Good ventilation is required around the appliance for easier dissipation of heat and low
power consumption. Sufcient clearance is required around the appliance. The safety distance
between the induction hob and any cupboard above the hotplate should be at least 760 mm.

The induction hob must be well ventilated and the air inlet and outlet must not be blocked. Ensure
you select a heat-resistant work surface to mount the induction hob.

Cut an aperture in the worktop using a jigsaw as shown. The worktop should be at least 30 mm
thick and made of a heat resistant material.

Seal the cut edge of the worktop using silicone sealant or PVA adhesive.
IMPORTANT: Ensure that either product is fully cured as per the manufacturers instructions before
you commence installation of the hob. This hob MUST NOT be sealed into the worktop.

Stretch out and stick the supplied tape along the underside edge of the hob, ensuring the ends
overlap. Trim off any excess tape and dispose of it.

Once the worktop edge has cured, and the tape is  tted, position the hob into the cutout in the
worktop. Apply gentle downwards pressure onto the hob to push it into the worktop ensuring a good
seal around the outer edge.

Note: The electrical cable required for conversion to permanent wiring is not supplied.
If you use the hardwired version, the appliance must be connected directly to the mains using an
omnipolar circuit breaker with a minimum opening of 3 mm between the contacts.
The installer must ensure that the correct electrical connection has been made and that it complies
with the wiring diagram.
The cable must not be bent or compressed.
Regularly check the the mains connection and power cord for damage. If the supply cord is
damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualied persons in
order to avoid a safety hazard.

When connected to a mains outlet using the factory tted plug, the software will limit the hob
maximum power to 2800 W. Once congured as a permanent installation, the maximum power
output is 6400 W.
Replacing the Cable
1. Remove the screw and terminal cover.
2. Remove the factory tted cable and replace it with the correct grade for the permanent
installation as per the connection diagram above.
WARNING: DO NOT CONVERT THE HOB TO HIGH POWER WHILST STILL CONNECTED WITH
THE FACTORY FITTED CABLE AND PLUG.
ENSURE THE CABLE CONVERSION HAS BEEN COMPLETED BEFORE PROCEEDING TO
THE SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION.
FAILURE TO DO THIS THIS WILL DAMAGE THE HOB AND INVALIDATE YOUR WARRANTY!

SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION
1. Turn on the hob using the ON / OFF key. The
hob will show “-” on each cooking zone.
2. Touch the front left zone key and the Timer
key together for three seconds. The hob will
beep and show “5” in the timer display.
3. Touch the Timer key once and the display will
change to “5E”.
4. Touch the front left zone key and the Timer
key again and the two front zones will
indicate “2” and “8”. This is the factory setting
of 2800 W.
5. Touch the front left zone key to switch the
display to “6” and “4”. This indicates high
power at 6400 W.
6. Touch the Timer key again to nish
conguration.
Note: If required, the hob can be converted back to a plugged version by following the cable
conversion and software steps above again.

• Cette plaque de cuisson ne doit être raccordée au réseau électrique que par une personne
dûment qualiée.
• Avant de connecter la plaque de cuisson à l’alimentation électrique, vérier que :
1. le système de câblage de la maison est adapté à la puissance de la plaque de cuisson ;
2. la tension correspond à la valeur donnée sur la plaque signalétique ;
3. les sections de câble d’alimentation peuvent résister à la charge spéciée sur la plaque
signalétique.
• Pour connecter la plaque de cuisson à l’alimentation électrique, ne pas utiliser d’adaptateurs,
de réducteurs ou de dispositifs de branchement, car ils peuvent causer une surchauffe et un
incendie.
• Le câble d’alimentation ne doit pas toucher d’éléments chauds et doit être placé de manière à ce
que sa température ne dépasse à aucun moment les 75°C.
• La surface de travail est à l’équerre et à niveau, et aucun élément structurel ne compromet les
besoins en espace.
• La surface de travail est conçue à partir d’un matériau résistant à la chaleur.
• Si la plaque de cuisson est installée au-dessus d’un four, celui-ci doit être équipé d’un ventilateur
de refroidissement.
• L’installation devra être conforme à toutes les exigences en matière d’autorisation et aux normes
et règlements applicables.
• Un sectionneur, permettant une déconnexion totale de l’alimentation secteur, est incorporé dans
le câblage permanent. Il est monté et disposé conformément aux règles et réglementations
locales relatives au câblage. Le sectionneur doit être homologué et fournir un écart de séparation

Remarque : Le câble électrique requis pour la conversion vers le câblage permanent n’est pas fourni.
Si vous utilisez la version câblée, l’appareil doit être raccordé directement au secteur à l’aide d’un
disjoncteur omnipolaire présentant une ouverture minimale de 3 mm entre les contacts.
L’installateur doit s’assurer que le bon raccordement électrique a été effectué et qu’il respecte le
schéma de câblage.
Le câble ne doit pas être plié ou comprimé.
Vérier régulièrement l’absence de dommages sur le raccordement secteur et le cordon
d’alimentation. Si le cordon d’alimentation est endommagé, il doit être remplacé par le fabricant,
son prestataire de service ou une personne qualiée an d’éviter tout risque pour la sécurité.
