CONTROL MODULE&COMPONENT MOUNTING
DONOTMountthecontrolunitintheenginecompartmentorwherethecontrolunitorwiringharness
wherethey canbecomeentangledwithmovingparts suchasbrake/gas/clutchpedals,orthesteering
column! Thealarmcontrolmoduleshouldbe mounted inaconcealedlocation.ThePlacementofthe
modulewill affectthe distancefromwhichtheremotetransmitter can controltheunit. The antenna wire
shouldbe routedawayfromanymetalifpossible.Donotalter thelengthofthe antenna wireorrouteitwith
other wires.Donotgroundthe antennawire.Fastenthe moduletoabracket or wireharness usingthe cable
tiesprovided.UnderdashMounting:Ifyouarelocating thecontrolunitunderdash,mountitashigh as
possible,noteasilylocated byanintruder.Driver’sSideUnderdashmounting providesaneasylocation for
wiring mostofthe system’sconnections,however thisisacommon locationfor an intrudertocheckfor an
alarmafterbreaking intothe vehicle.
SIREN: Mountthe siren under thehood toaninner fender-well,wheel-well,or other bodysurfacewiththe
openendfacing downward.Runthe red siren wirethrough the firewall using arubbergrommet. Groundthe
blacktothe bodymetalnearthe sirenoryoucanuseoneof thesiren’smounting screwsforaground.
LED: Mountthered LEDinavisiblelocationonthedashboardorconsole.
Shock Sensor: Mounttheincludedshocksensorwithwiretiestoanunder dashwireharnessorfasten with
screwstofirewall orsidepaneling.Usethe adjustmentscrewtosetthe sensitivityofthesensor.Onescrew
adjustsboth
Valet/ProgrammingButton: Mountthe Valet/Override/Programpush-buttoninahiddenbutaccessible
location.It isREQUIREDforemergencydisarm, programming featuresand enteringvalet mode.
WIRING
GREENWIRE:(-)NEGATIVE DOORTRIGGER
Identifythe wire thatreadsgroundwhen anydoorisopen and12voltswhen all doorsare closed.Some
vehiclesmayhaveisolateddoortriggers.Inthiscaseyoumayneed torun additionalwiresfromother doors
or godirectlytothewirethattriggersthe vehicle’sinteriordomelight.Sometimesnewervehiclescontaina
separatebodycontrolmodule(BCM)where the doortriggercircuitcan belocated.Onevehiclewill not
requiretheuseof BOTHdoor triggerwires.
VIOLETWIRE:(+)POSITIVE DOORTRIGGER
SameastheGREENwire aboveexcept thiswireisusedforvehiclesthat showapositivevoltage (12volts)
whenthedoorisopenandagroundwhendoorsareclosedasinmanyFord,Lincoln,andMercuryvehicles.

BLACK WIRE:SYSTEMCHASSISGROUND
The Blackwire MUSTbe connected the CHASSISMETALofthevehicle.Scrapeawayanypaintordebris
fromtheconnection pointanduseastarwashertoensure agoodconnection.Keepthegroundwireshort.
YELLOWWIRE:IGNITIONSWITCHED“ON”AND “START”+12VOLTS
Connecttoan IGNITIONwire(orfuseinthefusebox)thatshows+12 Voltswhenthe keyinboth“On” and
“Start”(WHENCRANKING)positions.
GRAYWIRE:(-)NEGATIVE AUXREMOTEOUTPUT1(Optional,may requirearelay)
Connecttothe Negativetrunkreleasecircuit ortotheactivationcircuit of anauxiliarymoduleordevice.If the
circuitrequires+12V,thenarelayisrequired.RELAYWIRING: ConnecttheGraywire toterminal85,connect
relayterminals86and 87to+12Vconstantpower.Connectterminal30 ofthe relaytothe+12Vpositive
device/circuittobe activated.
BLUEWIRE:(-) NEGATIVE HOOD/TRUNK TRIGGER(Optional)
Inputtriggerforagroundinghoodortrunkpinswitch.Connecttoexistinghoodandtrunkpinswitchesthat
readground when open.Ifnoexistingswitchesare available,install newpinswitchesifdesired.Note:DO
NOTmountnewpinswitchesinwater pathways.
BLACK/WHITEWIRE:(-)NEGATIVE DOMELIGHTILLUMINATIONOUTPUT(Optional, requiresarelay)
Thiswireprovidesa(-)negativegroundwhenthe systemisdisarmedtoactivateavehiclesdomelightcircuit.
Werecommend the useofarelayforthisconnection.ConnectBlack/Whitetoterminal#85ofrelay. Connect
terminal#86tofused constant+12V.Connectterminal#87toa+12Vconstantorground sourcedepending
on the typeofdomelight circuit inthe vehicle. ConnectTerminal#30 tothe domelight circuit inthe vehicle.
BROWN/WHITEWIRE:(-) NEGATIVEHORN PULSE / CHIRPOUTPUT(Optional,mayrequirearelay)
Connect totheNegativeHornTriggerwire usuallylocated near thesteeringcolumn.Ifthevehiclehorncircuit
requires+12V, thenarelayisrequired.
ORANGEWIRE:(-)NEGATIVE ARMEDOUTPUT(500mAGround,Optional)
Thiswire becomesaconstantGroundoutputwhen systemisarmed.Thisoutputcan be used toactivate
optionaldevicessuchasextrasensors,LED’s,windowroll-up modules, voicemodulesetc.

OPTIONPROGRAMMING
1. Turnthe IgnitionON and press the Override/Program button 5 times.
2. After a short delay, the parking lights willflash5times, Siren5 times, Horn5 times and status LED willbe onsolid.
3. Withinthenextfew seconds, press the Override/Program button[again]thenumber of times thatcorresponds to
the options chart below. Sirenand/or optional hornshould chirp for eachpress.
4. Whenyouget to thedesired optionnumber, quicklypress theappropriate buttonontheremote control accordingto
thechart below. Thesystem willprovide 1chirp/flashfor Button1(Lock Symbol)and2chirps/flashes for button2,
3 for Button#3 and 4 for button#4. (SeeChart below for optiondescriptions and values.)
5. TurnIgnitionoff. System chirps andflashes thelights 3times onexit. Whenyouarefinished customizingoptions,
checkoperation.

OPTIONPROGRAMMING
1. HORNCHIRPS / PULSES
Thisoption controlsthe system’sFactoryVehicleHornoutput. There are3selections:Button1(Lock)=Horn
Pulseonlywhenalarmistripped.Button 2(Unlock)=HornChirpsforArm/DisarmandPulsewhen tripped.
Button3(Trunk)=HornChirpsforArm,Disarm,andPre-warning protection.All settingsprovidehorn pulses
whentriggered.
2. PASSIVE ARMING/ CHIRPCOUNTDOWN
ThisoptioncontrolsthePassive(Automatic)Arming feature.IfON,armingwill occur 30Secondsafter the
ignitionisturned offandthelastdoorhasbeen closed.The LEDwill beginflashing rapidlywhilecounting
down.If adoor isreopened,thesystem will wait(LEDsolid)forthedoororzonetoclosebefore arming.The
unitwill chirponceand flashthelightsonce.Doorswill lockifpassivelocking isselected.Factorydefault
settingisOFF.If PassiveChirp countdownisselected,theSystemwill produceasiren chirpevery2seconds
during countdownuntil thesystemarms.
3. PASSIVE LOCKS/CUSTOMOVERRRIDE(ALSO SEE CUSTOMOVERRIDESECTION, PAGE13)
PASSIVE LOCKS:Thisoptioncontrolswhether thedoorswill lockwhenPassiveArmingoccurs.Note:May
increasetheriskof locking keysinthevehicle.When selectedONthealarmwill passivelylockthe doorswhen
passivearming.
4. IGNITION-CONTROLLEDLOCKS
Thisoptioncontrolswhether the locks are controlledbyIgnition.There are 3selections:Button 1(Lock)=
Lock/UnlockwithvehicleIgnition.Button 2(Unlock)=Noignition locks.Button 3(Trunk)=Ignitionlockonly.
Doorswill not lock iftheyare open toprevent lockingthekeys in.
5. DOOROPENWARNING (10 or60Seconds)
Thissettingchangesthedelaytime inwhichthealarmsystembeginstomonitor theDoorcircuit.Thisoption
can prevent the alarmfromgivingwarning chirpsonvehicleswithadelayeddomelight.
6.ACTIVE RE-ARMING
ActiveRe-arming allowsthe systemtore-armitself30 secondsafter disarmed withthetransmitter ifadoor
hasnotbeen opened.Thisishandyifthe vehicleisaccidentallydisarmed(viatheTransmitterinyourpocket)
withoutyouknowing it.IfChirpCountdownselected the systemwill chirpevery2secondsduring the30-
second countdowntoactivere-arming.Note:Activere-armisresetbydomelightillumination.If youare
usingdomelight illumination,activere-armwill not function.

7. DOUBLEUNLOCK PULSE
Withthisfeature enabled,the unitwill send 2unlockpulseswhenthe#2 Unlockbuttonispressed.2pulses
are required for interfacing intosomeexistingFactoryKeyless Entryor Alarm systemson vehiclessuchas
Nissan,VW, Toyota, and Lexusvehicles.
8. SILENTARMING /DISARMING(CHIRPDEFEAT)
Withthisfeature,thesystemcan be Armand Disarmwithoutthe siren chirp usingthe SilentButton #4.
Flashingparking lightswill betheonlyArm/Disarmconfirmation.
9. PARKINGLIGHTSONWITHDISARM
Keepsparking lightson instead of2flasheswhensystemisdisarmed toassistinlocatingyourvehicleina
crowdedparking lot orstructure.Lightwill stayon for30Sec.oruntil Ignition isturnedon.
10. DISARMWITHAUX.OUTPUT1(TRUNK POP)
Controlswhetherthe systemwill orwillnotDISARMwhenthetrunkpop or AUX.featureisused.When the
featureisturnedontheunitwill DISARMwhenopeningtrunkorusinganauxiliarydevicecontrolledbythe
Grayoutputwire.
11. N/A, NO OPTION
12. DOORLOCK/UNLOCKPULSE TIME
Controlstheamountof time (0.75sec.or 3sec.)forthelock/unlockpulse.The3sec.setting mayberequired
for 1980’/90’sEuropeanVehiclesthatrequire along pulsetodoVacuumdoorlocksystems.
13.ACTIVE,PASSIVE, orFULL-TIMECARJACKPROTECTION
Thisfeature controlsthetypeof Carjack protectionthealarmwill provide. There are3selections: Button1
(Lock)=Activeprotection. Button2(Unlock)=Passiveprotection. Button3(Trunk)=Full-Timeprotection.
Optionnumber14mustbeenabledtoallowCarjackfunctionstooperate. SeeCarjackProtection features.
14. CARJACKFEATURES
Thisoptioncontrolsthe unit’sCarJackfeatures. Enableor DisableCarjack(TurnONor OFF)withthisoption.
15.ARM/DISARMWITHIGNITIONON
Thisoptioncontrolswhethertheunitwillallowarmingand disarmusingthe remotewhentheignitionison (or
vehicleisrunning).Thisprogramoptionmayneedtobeenabledwhen usingan Add-on remotestarterto
allowthe alarmtobe armedordisarmedafterremoteenginestarting.Notethatyoucannotusethisfeature if
youarealsousingtheFull-time carjackprotection. If youadd aremotestartand the Ignitionturnson, a
Carjacktrigger will beactivated.

1.Turn theIgnitionONand press theOverride/Programbutton 5times.You shouldsee 5lightflashesand 5
chirps.
2.Immediatelypress Button #3 (Trunk)ontheremote.
3.The siren willchirp 4timesandlightswill flash4times.
4.Turn off ignition andall programming optionsshouldberestored to*values.
CUSTOMPERSONAL OVERRIDECODE
Customoverrideallowstheuser tosetaspecificnumber ofbutton presses(2-15)requiredtoperforman
emergencyoverride/disarmofthealarm system. Thisincreasesthelevelofsecurityof thesystem,but you

ACTIVE ARMING
Toarmthe alarmandlockthe doors,pressthe #1(LockSymbol)buttonon the transmitter.You will heara
singlesirenchirp andthelightswill flashonce.Thesystemwill arm,the doorswill lockand the starterwill be
disablediftheseoptionalfeaturesareinstalled.The redLEDinthe vehiclewill startflashingafter5seconds.
After ashort delaytoallowvehicleandelectronics tostabilizethesystemwill becompletelyarmed.
ALARMTRIGGERING
Ifthereisan intrusion intothe vehicleor hard impacttothe bodywill soundthe alarmand flashthelightsfor
45 seconds.After45secondsthesystemwill automaticallyshutoff andre-armtocontinuetoprotectthe
vehicle.If adoorisleftopen,the unitwill cycleasecondtime and still continuetoprotecttheotherun-
tamperedzones.
DISARMING
Press the #2 (Unlock)button on the transmitter todisarmthe alarm.Youwill hear2sirenchirpsand the lights
will flashtwice.TheLEDstopsflashing.Doorwill unlockand domelightwill turnoniftheoptionsare
installed.

button forabout5seconds(until sirenstops).The Alarmwill disarm.Ifyou continue toholdthebuttonfor
additional7seconds, the systemwill entertheValet mode.
EMERGENCYDISARMWITHCUSTOMOVERRIDE
Ifyouhaveprogrammed your system for CustomOverride,followthesamestepsabove(Emergency
Override) whilepressing thevaletbutton2-15timesasyou haveprogrammed. Youmustcontinuetoholdthe
buttondownonthelastpress for5seconds.TheAlarmwilldisarmandenter theValetmode,whichallows
youtousethevehicleuntilyoucanrepair/replacetheremotetransmitter or havethealarmsystemchecked.
VALETMODE
Todisablethe Alarmsystemforvehicleserviceor otherwise,turntheignitiononandpressthe
override/programbutton4-5secondsuntil thedashLEDturnsonsolidandyou hear(1) sirenchirp.Repeat
the process toexit VALETmodeandthesystemwill chirp(2)timesandthe LEDwill turnoff. Lock/Unlockand
AUXfeatureswill still operateinwheninVALETmode.When performing anEmergencyOverrideand you
holddowntheoverridebutton,thesystemisalsoplacedintoValetmode.See EmergencyOverridesection

PASSIVE ARMING / PASSIVE LOCKMODES / PASSIVE CHIRPCOUNTDOWN
Ifprogrammed,passive(Automatic)Arming will occur 30Secondsafterthe ignitionisturnedoff andthelast
doorhasbeen closed.The LEDwill beginflashingrapidlywhilecounting down.Ifadoor isreopened,the
systemwill wait(LEDsolid) for thedooror zone toclosebefore arming.The unitwill chirponceand flashthe
lightsonce.Doorswilllockifpassivelocking isselected.Mayqualifyforinsurancediscounts-checkwithyour
agentor proprietor.When theUnitisprogrammed forPassiveChirpCountdown,thesirenwill chirpduring
passivecountdown,asan audiblewarning thatarmingwill occur.Thissirenwill emitachirpevery2seconds
assoon asthelastdoor iscloseduntil the systemarms30secondslater.

Ifthesystemwastrippedinyourabsence,thedashLEDwillbeflashing rapidly.When thesystemis
disarmedyouwill hear 3chirps(and 3lightflashes).Carefullyinspectyourvehicletosee ifthere isany
damageoratheft hasoccurred.
DOMELIGHTILLUMINATION(OPTIONAL)
Thisfeature turnson thevehiclesdomelightupondisarmfor 30secondsor until the keyisinserted and
turned on.Thiswill provideilluminated entrytoyour vehicleatnightor indimlylitareasforadded safetyand
security.Notethatdomelightilluminationwill deactivatetheactiverearmfeatureifprogrammed for active
rearm.
OPENZONEALERT/BYPASS
Ifthesystemdetectsafaultyoropenzone(Doorleftopen)whenthesystemisACTIVELYARMED,thesiren
will chirp4timesalongwith4lightflashes. Thefaultyzone will be automaticallybypassed.
IGNITION-CONTROLLEDDOORLOCKS
The doorswill automaticallylockwhen the ignitionisturned onand will unlock whentheignition isturnedoff.
Thisfeaturecanbeprogrammed on,off, ortolockthe doorsonly.Doorswill notlock iftheyare open to
prevent locking thekeys in.
ACTIVE RE-ARMING(FAIL-SAFEPROTECTION)
Active Re-armingmeans thatthesystem willre-arm itself30 secondsafterdisarmed withthetransmitter ifadoorhas
notyet beenopened. Thisishandy ifthevehicleisaccidentallydisarmed (viathetransmitter inyourpocket) without
youknowingit. Thisfeature canalso be turned off inprogrammingoption(4). If programmed for Passive Chirp
Countdown,theunitwillemitachirp every 2seconds until thesystem Active Re-arms. Active rearm featureis
disabled if youalso have dome light illuminationinstalled.
2nd AUX. OUTPUT(REMOTEAUX.OUTPUT2)
To activate the Second auxiliary output Press andhold Button#4 for 3seconds to activate AUX. channel#2.
ARM/DISARMWITHIGNITIONON(PROGRAMOPTION#15)
Thisfeatureallows thesystemto bearmed or disarmed whiletheignitionisintheON positionor vehicleisrunning.
Thefeatureisdisabled by defaultandshouldnotbe used under normaloperatingconditions. Onaninstallationwith
anadd-onremote start module, thisoptioncanbe enabled to allow thesystem to be armed or disarmed whenthe
vehiclehasbeenremotestarted(Ignitionwillbe ON). Note thatyoucannotuse thisfeatureifyou are also usingthe
Full-time carjack protection. If youadd a remote start and the Ignitionturns on, a Carjack trigger willbe activated.
