important information about afety, u e and di po al. Read the manual with all
u age and afety note before u ing the watch. Only u e the watch in the intended
way and for the intended application . Plea e keep the packaging and the

Coded transmission
The che t belt' tran mi ion are digitally coded to prevent interference if you are
training with a training partner who i u ing an identical watch and che t belt.
When u ing the che t belt for the fir t time, a random channel i elected
automatically. The channel i briefly di played at the top of the di play upon
entering the heart rate di play mode. The available channel are CH10, CH11,
CH12, CH13 and CH14.
The channel can be changed by briefly removing the battery from the che t be t and
rein erting it. The che t belt will randomly elect a channel and after approx. 1
minute the heart rate and the new channel will appear on the di play of the watch.

Bicycle holder
The included bicycle holder can be u ed to attach the heart rate monitor to the
handlebar of a bicycle.
Pre the bicycle holder onto the top of the handlebar. Handlebar with an
e pecially large diameter may require the u e of additional force to nap on the
bicycle holder. The heart rate monitor can now be attached to the bicycle holder in
the ame way that you would attach it to your wri t.
The maximum range of 70cm between the heart rate monitor and the che t belt
hould not be exceeded.
Light
Briefly pre IGHT to temporarily activate the light.
Speed setting
When etting numerical value , pre and hold SE to u e the peed etting feature.

Setup of the heart rate monitor
Remove the protective film from the di play and pre MODE, SE or SET.
Now elect Engli h, German, French or Spani h language by pre ing SE and
confirm your etting by pre ing SET.
Select the unit KM-KG
METRIC KM - KG KM - KG KM - KG
or Mile /pound
IMPERIAL M - LB M - LB M - LB
in the ame way. The 12 or 24 hour election will blink on the di play.
Pre SE to elect a etting and confirm your etting by pre ing SET. Set the
econd , minute , hour , year, month and day in the ame way.
Now the basic settings will follow. Fir t the year of the birthday etting will appear

Pre SE to et the year and pre SET to confirm your etting. Set the month and
day in the ame way.
Now the weight will appear

Set the digit of your weight by pre ing SE and confirm each digit by pre ing SET.

Set each digit of your height by pre ing SE and confirm each digit by pre ing
SET.
Complete the etting procedure by pre ing MODE.
Pre SET and SE imultaneou ly to totally re et the watch. Thi i the only way to
change language and the unit of mea urement.

Second time zone
Pre and hold SE for 3 econd . The watch will witch to the econd time zone
di play and T2 will appear on the di play. The econd time zone can be et a
de cribed in “Setup of the heart rate monitor”.
Pre and hold SE for 3 econd to return to normal time mode.
Alarm

Pre and hold SET for 3 econd to enter etting mode.
"AL" will appear on the di play and the minute of the alarm time will blink.
Pre SE to et the minute and pre SET to confirm your etting. Set the hour in the
ame way.
You may optionally et the month and day a well.
If neither month nor day are et the alarm will ound daily. If the day i et, the alarm
will ound monthly. If both the month and the day are et the alarm will ound only
at the et date.
The hourly chime etting will now appear on the di play

Pre SE to elect a etting and confirm your etting by pre ing SET
(ON/EIN/ACTIF/ENCENDID=on,
OFF/AUS/INACTIF/APAGADO=off).

If the chime i activated, the bell ymbol will appear and the watch will chime at the
beginning of every hour.
Exit etting mode by pre ing MODE. The alarm can be activated or deactivated by
pre ing SET. If the alarm i activated the alarm ymbol will appear.
When the alarm ound , pre SET, SE or MODE to top the alarm.
Snooze feature
If no button i pre ed when the alarm ound , the alarm will hut off after about 30
econd and the ymbol will blink on the di play. The alarm will top and will
re ume after ounding after about 90 econd . The proce will repeat it elf 4 time .
Timer (max. 23:59:00)

Pre and hold SET for 3 econd to enter etting mode.
The minute of the timer time will blink on the di play.
Pre SE to et minute of the timer time and confirm your etting by pre ing SET.
Set the hour in the ame way.
Now the additional etting for the timer will follow. Pre SE to elect the de ired
mode:

Cd U After reaching 0:00 the timer will count forward

Exit etting mode by pre ing MODE.
The timer can be tarted or topped by pre ing SET.

In the middle row of the di play the heart rate i hown while wearing the che t belt.
If the ignal i received from the che t belt the heart ymbol will fla h. To the right of
the heart rate the heart rate in percent of the maximum heart rate i hown. The
maximum heart rate i calculated by evaluating your age, weight and height.
Warning light
If your heart rate reache or exceed 99% of
your maximum heart rate, or your heart rate
exceed the target zone value ( ee target
zone) the red warning light will blink and an
alarm will ound.
Timer

The bottom row of the di play will how the elap ed training time. The middle row
will how your heart rate and the heart rate in percent of the maximum heart rate.
The timer will tart automatically when the che t belt tart mea uring the heart rate.
The timer will continue counting the time if the feature mode of the watch i changed.
Pre SET to elect the timer mode:

Pre and hold SET for 3 econd to enter etting mode.
Select the training type by pre ing SE . If "U" i elected (u er defined) the lower
and upper limit can be et. Pre SET. The di play will how the lower limit.
Set the value by pre ing SE and confirm your etting by pre ing SET. Set the
upper limit in the ame way.
Exit etting mode by pre ing MODE. Pre and hold SE to activate the heart rate
alarm. When the heart rate alarm i activated, the alarm ymbol will appear on
and an alarm will ound when the mea ured heart rate i not within the et zone
"BEEP-BEEP...BEEP-BEEP...BEEP-BEEP".
If the mea ured heart rate i at or above 99% of the maximum heart rate the max.
heart rate alarm will ound. "BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP". The max. heart
alarm i independant of the training zone and the heart rate alarm of the training
zone.

Note: The counter for fat burn i only activated while your heart rate i above 120
beat per minute.
Notes on the BMI
The BMI i a tati tical mea urement that can be u ed to judge a per on weight. For
adult , a value between 18.5 and 25 i con idered normal. Value below 18.5 are
con idered "underweight". Value above 25 are con idered "overweight". Value
above 30 are con idered "Obe e".
The BMI i only a coar e guideline becau e it doe not take a per on body type
and body compo ition into con ideration.
The watch automatically calculate your BMI from the value entered during etup.

After your training, immediately pre SET. A 5 minute countdown will tart (cool
down pha e).
The bar will how the remaining time. On the left ide of the di play the heart rate at
the beginning of cool down i hown. On the right ide of the di play the current
heart rate i hown. The countdown time i hown on the bottom row of the di play.
After 5 minute your fitne level will appear.

Troubleshooting
The heart rate is not shown or is shown incorrectly
Make ure the che t belt i po itioned correctly and fit well.
Your kin hould not be too dry or too cold. The contact area can be lightly
moi tened to improve function. Electromagnetic interference may have an adver e
effect on reception. The di tance between watch and che t belt mu t be under 70cm.
Other heart rate mea uring device within a 2m range may al o cau e interference.
Wirele bicycle computer may cau e interference.
The batterie may be low and require replacing.
The display is unreadable / the light does not work
Replace the batterie .

Replacing the watch battery
The battery replacement can be performed by a watch maker in addition to a water
re i tance te t.
To replace the battery your elf, plea e read the following in truction fir t:
Remove the crew (1, 2, 3 and 4) from the back ide of the watch with a mall
Phillip crewdriver. Remove the ca eback and the battery ticker.
U e a mall, flat tool to open the latch (5) of the battery holder. Remove the battery
and in ert a fre h 3V CR2032 battery with the (+) terminal facing upward . En ure
that the ga ket (6) i eated correctly. Clo e the latch of the battery holder. Replace
the battery ticker and the ca eback and replace the crew .

normal operation,
