How to fix ‘initial position error’
Major causes
•Power off during focusing
•Focusing gear wear
1. Turn off Quattro
2. open front dome cover
3. Make sure current position of focus gear > check right position as fig. 1
4. If not, by using hands, align front part and moving part as fig. 2
5. Check right gear (zoom gear) position, if not correct, align as fig. 3
6. Make sure all gear position are right as fig.1
•If you feel gear slip, Iris Camera assy. needs to be replaced, ask RMA.
•Prior to power off, hide front TOF sensor with any opaque things. (fingers OK)
If something is detected by front TOF sensor, Iris Camera start to focusing and keeping
for a while. But Iris focusing motor do not have initial position detect sensor like PTZ
CCTV. If focusing action is finished normally, then motor go back to initial position.
Powering off during focusing causes this problem

How to fix ‘camera head swing’
Major causes
•Face detection fail
•Facial ‘Image Grabber Module’ is halted
1. Try facial recognition via others’ face (too much beard or strong back or side light could be one of
reason)
2. Still head moving.
3. Reboot Quattro by put out power (don’t forget to cover front TOF sensor)
4. If symptoms continue, ask RMA
•Reconnecting cable is not easy, let Authrized Service Partner repair Quattro.
When something is detected by front TOF sensor, face camera starts to discover user face for a while.
If Quattro fails to detect face or streaming images are not coming to recognition module, then start to
swing camera for searching face. Probably causes are as below,
Camera cable is disconnected or camera is dead. Very occasionally, Grabber process is jammed.
Too wide tilting angle can cause this symptoms, limits angle from +5 degree to +75 degree.
How to fix ‘do not start recognition’
Major causes
•Front TOF sensor are not working or too close, too far
•Stuck in Enroll process
1. Make sure front TOF sensor hole is clean, if not remove dust or things which is covering sensor.
2. Make sure that it’s not in enroll process. ( finish by clicking ‘x’ icon or in process ; ID & Name steps…etc.)
3. If symptoms continue, ask RMA
TOF sensor detects objects in front of itself in 3cm to appx. 1.5m
If object is closer than 3cm or farther than 1.5m, then Quattro and Duo do not start recognition.
Occasionally, dust that is covering TOF sensor can cause this problem.
And, after enroll via Quattro or Duo, user must finish enroll process by clicking ‘finish’ or ‘cancel’
button of GUI and GUI shoud return back to initial screen of enroll process.
If not, recognition process is never been started.
How to fix ‘sync error’
Major causes
•Network connection error
•Wrong network setting
1. Make sure network connection by ‘PNIG Test’, type ‘ping XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX’ in console and wait reply.
2. If not, check ethernet cable connection or ask help to network administrator.
3. Device that is going to be work as Master(Server) have to set ‘server ip’ same with ip address of itself or
local host ip address 127.0.0.1 (normally, enroll station will be Master or you have to designate one of
Quattro or Duo as a Master, Master must be only one in one network and enroll station can not be work as
clients )
4. And ip address of Master Device (not 127.0.0.1 but real assigned ip address) must be set as ‘server ip’ of
other Quattros and Duos.
5. Once ip address changed, Terminal will be rebooted automatically.
* Do not use DHCP, user static ip address. Prior to setting ip address, contact with network administrator.
If all the network settings not only client Terminal but also Maste(server) Terminal, User Info.
automatically will be synchronized with all Quattro, Duo and Enroll Station in same network.
Also, user info. is able to be managed not only Master Terminal but also client Terminal. (Add, Edit,
Delete)
If sync. does not work properly, it will probably be caused by physical network connection error,
network environment changing(firewall, ip/mac address block etc.) or wrong network setting.
Understanding of ‘same name’
Example :
ID 03 = John, ID 05 = John > two Johns are not same person
(for reducing confusion, add id as post fix such as John03, John05)
When recognition, if first John comes then ID and Name will be shown (ID: 03 Name:John), for second John,
‘ID:05, Name: John’ will be shown.
* Be careful when you add supplementary templates to exist users, it is strongly recommended that you
double click ID cell of BACS manager window and find out user’s right ID for going to next step to acquire Bio-
Info.
This action makes linkage with master id and secondary id, if you assign same user with different ID without
this action, then this can cause frequent ‘Mismatch’ error in Multi-mode.
Basically, this is not error.
ID is base information of user table. ID is generated automatically and indexed.
Users need to remember their own ID.
Basically this misunderstanding is caused that users are used to recognize name rather than ID.
ID is unique and name is not. Same name with different id is normal.
How to fix ‘bad wiring’
Major causes
•Poor connecting
•Continuous vibration
Quattros on speed gate are getting stressed by vibration of Gate.
So untighten wire sometimes be felled out from mail type 30p socket.
•Please tie cables and fix near structure in order not to be felled out.
•Make sure whether copper part of cables is well contacted with metal inside socket.
•Recommend that let electrical experts do wiring.
Cleaning Quattro, Duo & Enroll Station
•Always keep dome cover, fingerprint lens & palm vein sensor clean
-Wipe dome cover daily with asoft &dry cloth. (Do not use liquids with alcohol or acidity)
•
•Do not use brush to remove dust, please suck dust on fans, holes and slits of device by using
vacuum cleaner carefully.
How to fix ‘not working Relay & Wiegand’
Major causes
•Too short signal length for lock device
•Not customized signals for Control panels or readers
•Make sure relay working with recognition success, please hear tick sound.
•If it works, try to increase relay signal time on IO setup page.
(get right information from lock device manufacturers)
•For wiegand, figure out right high signal length and interval of pulse from control panel and rfid
reader manufacturers. And according to those information, adjust signal on IO setup page.
•For additional card types, let CTK know card information with sample card. (discuss with RSM)
