Notes and Maintenance
Before you begin installation, read all instructions thoroughly.
Proper tools will improve the quality of installation and reduce the time required.
To protect the product, wax after installing. Regular waxing is recommended
to add a protective layer over the finish. Do not use any type of polish or wax
that may contain abrasives that could damage the finish.
For polished, gloss and other smooth finishes,
polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs on the finish.
Mild automotive detergent may be used to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive
cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes or other similar products that may damage the finish.
Refer to the table to the left when securing hardware during the
installation process to help prevent damage to the product or vehicle.

WARNING
Do not exceed maximum weight capacity of 500 lbs. when using 2"
receiver tube. Distribute the weight evenly on platform when hauling a load.
NOTE: This carrier is not intended for transporting people.
Do not carry loads wider or deeper than carrier. Do not carry flammable items
on carrier. Do not allow exhaust fumes to blow directly on items. This is a fire hazard.

Step 1
Align the two platform halves (#1) on either side of the 2" shank (#2).
Insert the two M12*75 carriage bolts (#11) through the frame (#1),
shank (#2) and other frame half (#1). Install M12 flat washers (#10)
and M12 locknuts (#9) on the bolts (#11). Snug the hardware, but do
not fully tighten.
Step 5
To adjust the cargo carrier to the upright, folded position, remove the
pin and clip (#5, #6). Turn the frame body up until it is vertical. Insert
the pin (#6) through the shank (#2) and the lower hole of the folding
shank assembly (#4). Insert the clip (#5) into the pin #(6).
Step 2
Place the two connecting plates (#3) onto the front
and back of the frames (#1). Insert the M10 bolts (#14)
through the outside of the frames (#1) followed by the
M10 flat washers (#13) and secure with M10 locknuts (#12)
to the inside of the frames (#1).
Step 3
Tighten all hardware at this time.
Step 4
Connect the folding shank assembly (#4) to the shank (#2)
with an M16*80 hex bolt (#8), pin (#6) and clip (#5).
