4.1 Important information
Use only cleaning agents and disinfectants that have been approved by custo med.
Unsuitable agents may damage the device.
The devices must never be immersed in any liquid or cleaned with too much liquid.
Cleaning agents and disinfectants must not be sprayed directly on or into the device.
Moisture must not get into the inside of the device (e.g. via interface contacts).
The contacts must not be soiled or damaged.
Clean and disinfect the devices after each patient. Make sure that the exterior of
the devices is always aesthetic and clean.
The device must not be connected to a power source during cleaning and disinfection.

4.5 Approved cleaning agents and disinfectants
Wipe disinfection:
Meliseptol® Wipes sensitive (B.Braun)
Meliseptol® Foam pure (B.Braun) – (use with a soft, lint-free cloth)
Note: Please follow the manufacturer's instructions
Washing with a disinfectant:
Eltra 40® (ECOLAB)
Eltra 40® Extra (ECOLAB)
Note: Please follow the manufacturer's instructions
Machine wash at 40°C in a washing net (do not spin)
Do not treat with harsh chemicals or bleach
Do not iron
Do not tumble dry
Please note: The approved disinfectants may be replaced by products from
other manufacturers, provided these are equivalent with regard to disinfection and
material compatibility. Please contact your hygiene & disinfection partner.
4.6 Disposal of contaminated consumables
Contaminated consumables such as adhesive electrodes (single-use items) are con-
sidered as waste with special requirements regarding collection and disposal from
an infection prevention perspective. They must be disposed of in a safe and proper
manner. Please observe the infection prevention legislation and the legal require-
ments for the disposal of contaminated consumables.
