INTRODUCTION
1.1General Description
PT-3000 is an integrated system with more functionality, performance, durability, and
reliability. Its abundant built-in features allow you to widely use this system for different
application such as supermarket, restaurant, hospitality, pharmacy, information service
terminal and the likes.
PT-3000 system has a compact design & is lightweight. It can work in stand-alone or
network environment. To simplify system integration, its packs POS provisions such as
Ethernet, SVGA, Solid State Disk, PCMCIA interface, USB ports, Cash Drawer
interface, Customer Display interface. Unique POS feature POS feature such as 4
serial port with power capability. Special features not commonly seen in other
motherboards include watchdog timer for the system dependability during unattended
operation. CMOS double backup in Flash memory to ensure the system to be
automatically booted up when the CMOS data loss occurs.
Touch Panel feature on the PT-3000 system makes it still strong in application. Touch
screen uses resistive sensor, providing unsurpassed performance in POS application.
Touch the screen with a finger, gloved hand, fingernail, or even a credit card, and you’ll
receive a fast, accurate response- every time.
Touch Panel on the PT-3000 system is scratch-resistant, and completely sealed against
contamination and moisture. It prevents fluid ingress through the air vent due to
capillary action.
Due to its flexible design the PT-3000 system can be installed without its enclosure for
embedded applications such as wall or table mounting.

1.2 Safety Precautions
!Read all of these instructions.
!Do not place this system on an unstable cart, stand, or table. The system
may fall, causing serious injury to a child or adult and serious damage to
the appliance.
!Slots and openings in the back or bottom are provided for ventilation, and
to ensure reliable operation of the system and to protect it from
overheating, these openings must not be blocked or covered. The system
should never be placed near or over a radiator or heat register.
!This system should be operated only from the type of power source
indicated on the marking label. If you are not sure of the type of power,
consult your dealer or local Power Company.
!This system is equipped with a three-wire grounding type plug, a plug
