Air Conditioner no use for a long time.
Start fan only for 3-4 hours to comple-
tely dry the inside of the indoor unit.
Set COOL mode or HEAT mode,
and select the highest setting tempera-
ture, then fan turns.
Turn off air conditioner, unplug the
power plug. Otherwise, the accumul-
ated dirt may cause fire.
FAN OPERATION
Take the batteries out of the remote
controller.
Want to use the Air Conditioner
Clean filters and replace them to origi-
nal position.Clean indoor unit with soft
clothe.
Do not use gasoline, benzene, thinner,
grinding powder, detergent,insecticide
etc. to clean units as they can hurt the
units.
Inlets and outlets of indoor and outdo-
or units shall not be covered/blocked.
Ground wire shall not be loose.
Put in batteries, and plug the power
plug.

Filters should be cleaned once every two weeks.
Take out filters.
Clean filters with a vacuum cleaner
or by typing them gently. ( If they are
very dirty, wash them in warm water
below 45 dissolved with neutral
scouring agent.)
Clean filters with clean water, then
dry them in cool air.
Insert them at original position, then
push down and close front panel.
Clean deodorization filters and air cleaner.
Take out filters first, then take out
deodorization filter and air cleaner.
Clean deodorization filter, air clean-
er with warm water below 45
dissolved with neutral scouring agent.
Clean filters with clean water, then
dry them in cool air.
Insert them at original position, then
push down and close front panel.
Deodorization filter, Air cleaner, Filters must be cleaned termly.
Open front panel only after air conditioner stops completely.

COOL MODE
If Tr > Ts, cool operation is activated. Compressor and outdoor fan are turned on.
Indoor fan runs at the set speed.
If T r T s-1 cool operation is terminated. Compressor and outdoor fan are
turned off.
The range of Ts is 16-31
Indoor fan speed can be adjusted for low , medium, high and auto.Compressor will
be delayed for 3 minutes before it is turned on or off.

Indoor de-ice
This process is checked by the indoor defrost sensor (T i). If Ti =2 , indoor fan increase
to high speed, when Ti -1 for 1 minute continuously, compressor and outdoor fan are
turn off , indoor fan increases to high speed . When T i 8 for 5 minutes continuously,
compressor and outdoor are turn on.
de-ice operation is on for more than 8 minutes, system will return to normal operation.

FAN MODE
Indoor fan runs at the set speed while compressor and outdoor fan are turned off.
Indoor fan speed can be adjusted for low , medium and high.
When this mode is selected, the system will change from AUTO COOL to AUTO
DRY to AUTO HEA T mode according to the room temperature and will run
according to the programmed temperature set points as in the following table.
If the unit is restarted after it is stopped for less than 2 hours, it will resume at the
previously established mode before it was stopped. (i.e. AUTO COOL or AUTO
DRY or AUTO HEA T)
If the unit is restarted after it is stopped for more than 2 hours, it will run in a new
mode according to the room temperature when it is restarted.
During this mode the temperature set point can only be set + or - 2 Deg. C of the
room temperature.

Outdoor de-ice
After 40 minutes of continuous heating operation, if To -4 , the outdoor de-ice
operation is activated. Compressor is turned off. Indoor fan speed reduces to low
speed. After 30 seconds delay, 4 way value and outdoor fan will be turned off, indoor
fan reduces to low speed, 15 seconds later, the compressor is turned on and indoor fan
turn off for the de-ice operation, if To 15 or 10 minutes has elapsed, the de-ice
operation will be terminated. Then, the compressor is turned off. After 30 seconds
delay, 4 way valve and outdoor fan are turned on, 15 seconds later, compressor and
outdoor fan are turned on for return to normal operation, indoor fan is turned on for
return to normal operation also.

TIMER
Timer off can only be set when the system is operating.
Timer on can only be set when the system is off.
The maximum set time is 12 hours.
Changing of on/off state will cancel timer mode.
SLEEP MODE
In cool mode, after sleep mode is set, Ts will increase 1 in first hours, will
increase 2 in second hours and will operation as the temperature
In heat mode, after sleep mode is set, Ts will decrease 2 in first hours, will
increase 2 in second hours and will operation as the temperature
Changing of operation mode will cancel sleep mode.

HIGH PRESSURE PROTECTION
If Ti > 50 , the outdoor fan is turned off. After that, if Ti < 47 , the system will
start again.
If Ti > 63 , the compressor is turned off. After that, if Ti < 50 , the system will
start again.

MANUAL SWING (STEPPING MOTOR)
If the indoor fan is operating, the louver will swing or can be stopped at a preferred
location in any mode. The louver change location follow the order of :
If a command is received, the system will respond with a beep.
BUZZER
In cool mode, if Tr-Ts < 0 , indoor fan is run at low speed.
If 0 <Tr-Ts<2 , if indoor fan is running at low speed, there will be
no change in speed , if fan is running at medium speed ,there will be
no change in speed ,if indoor fan is run at high speed ,it will change
to medium speed.
If 2 <Tr-Ts<4 indoor fan keep original speed.
If Tr-Ts>4 indoor fan is run at high speed.

OPERATION OF CONTROL PANEL ON INDOOR UNIT
Every press of this button will turn the system on or off.
SYSTEM LED LIGHT
When system is operating, the RUN light is on. When system is off, the light is off.
(Cool only type)
Every time the switch is pressed, it changes in sequence of
COOL STOP.
(Heat pump type)
Every time the switch is pressed, it changes in sequence of
COOL HEAT STOP.
MANUAL run operation procedure as the following:
In the first 30 minutes operation, the compressor don’t stop ,indoor fan hold high speed.
After 30 minutes, emergency run operation start.

When sleep mode is operating, the SLEEP light is on. When sleep mode is off,

Operation procedure-Control under the Remote controller
Run/Stop
Press I/O button, start operation, and stop when repressed.
Temperature adjustment
Press TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT button,decreases 1 by press button once,
and increase 1 C

Sleep selection
Press SLEEP button, set sleep operation, and cancel when repressed.

Fan speed adjustment
Press FAN SPEED button,change the fan speed of indoor unit in the order of ( low )
( medium ) ( high ) ( auto ).

Air flow direction adjustment
Change up/down air flow direction
Press MANUAL SWING button, the deflector move a specific angle. Change the deflector
of indoor unit follow the order of (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (auto).
(The deflector start to rotate automatically)(Fig.2)
In DRY or COOL mode , air blows downward in (4), (5) for one hour,
it changes to horizontal blowing automatically to prevent dropping.

Press AUTO SWING button, the deflector start to opreate.
Change right/left air flow direction
Manually swing ,to change right/left air flow direction.Complete ad-
justment before operation, if adjusted during operation,the auto swinging deflector may
pinch your fingers.(Fig. 1)

ADVICE
In DRY or COOL mode, advise to make the
deflector with (auto), air blows downward
in (1). In HEAT mode, advise to make the
deflector with (auto), air blows downw-
ard in (4).
Control with remote controller to adjust up/d-
own air flow direction, avoid turning deflector
with hand to avoid injury.

Operation mode adjustment
AUTO mode
When started, operation mode will turn into COOL or DRY or HEAT mode as per room
temperature, if operation stops for two hours, it restarts in the same mode set as before
operation was stopped. Once operation mode is set,it will not be influenced even if room
temperature has changed.Press MAUNAL SWING button and SWING button to change
up/down air flow direction.
COOL mode
Press MAUNAL SWING button and SWING button to change up/down air flow direction.
Press FAN SPEED button to change the fan speed of indoor unit. Press TEMPERATURE
ADJUSTMENT button to change the setting temperature.
DRY mode
Press MAUNAL SWING button and SWING button to change up/down air flow direction.
Press FAN SPEED button to changes the fan speed of indoor unit.
FAN mode
Press MAUNAL SWING button and SWING button to change up/down air flow direction.

HEAT mode: Healthy warmness lies in the difference with outside temperature! The
setting temperature for heating shall not be too different from outside temperature.
Though it varies with area, set temperature to between 20 - 24 , Heating effect
becomes inferior when ambient temperature is below 5 .

If power sets off, time must be set again, otherwise Timer operation is
not right.
DRY mode: 70% humidity is the limit for people to feel comfortable. When people
feel hot and suffocating, water vapor content in air is high, in other words, humidity is
high. Humidity has relation to temperature and wind. Generally speaking, the most
comfortable humidity is 60% -75% in summer and 55% - 70% in winter.
NOTICE
COOL mode: How to make COOL more efficient ?
Close windows,put down the window curtains,and reduce sunlight to increase the cooling
effect.Attach sunlight shield film on windows to reduce sunlight entering the room.Put
outdoor unit at a place where it will be shield from direct sunlight to save energy.

Secure the mounting plate
The mounting plate should be attached to the structural part of wall (post etc.).
NOTICE
The holes at solid arrow position must be secured to avoid the shake of mounting plate.
When the expansion screws are used, two holes ( 11 20 or 11 26 ) that the distance
between them is 450mm should be adopted.
Drill on the wall
Confirm the position of holes, and drill holes on the wall.

Open the front panel;
Remove the screw from electrical box cover, pull the
electrical box cover away from the unit and set aside.
Remove the screw from fastener, pull the fastener
away from the unit and set aside.
Connect the cable.
Replace the fastener and electrical box cover.

WARNING
Special cable must be used to connect indoor unit and outdoor
unit. It should be ensured that the terminals are not influenced by
external force. Poor connect may cause fire.
The electric box cover must be mounted and secured in position,
otherwise fire or electrical shock may occur because of dust or
moisture.
The connecting cables must be clipped together.
DSB-097LH can be connected only to a supplyed with system
impedance no more than 0.457 .
DSB-187LH no more than 0.160 In case necessary, please consult
your supply authority for system impedance information.
