Thank you for choosing a dB Technologies Product!
ES802 is a portable bi-amped sound system composed by two passive tops and one 12” subwoofer. The sub hosts a
1200 W power amp module with auto-range PSU and a mixer. A powerful DSP manages both the coverage of the entire
system and all functions of the system, making the ES802 a real gem in terms of sound performance and versatility.
Unpacking:
The box contains:
N°1 ES Top A Satellite.
N°1 ES Top B Satellite.
N°1 ES 802 Sub.
N°1 Speakon Cable.
N°1 Power Cable.
N°1 Telescopic M20 Pole.
Easy Assembly:
The 3-piece system is light enough to be carried in a
single trip.
Mono column mode on stand pole
The satellite are connected top-on-top and are placed
on the subwoofer through the supplied D25mm pole.
The system is used in mono mode so all inputs are
routed to both outputs in mono.
Hookup:
1 –Mic/line switch.
2 –Combo Xlr balanced mic- line input.
3 –Link Out.
4 –Signal and limiter leds.
5 –Master volume.
6 –Rca stereo aux input.
7 –Rca aux volume.
8 –Rotary for dsp presets selection.
1 On/Off Switch.
2 Mains Fuse.
3 VDE Mains Input.
4 speakon output –To TopA.
Use only ES802 cables!
Ready in less than a minute:
The speakers in this series use a latest generation
digital amplifier. This highly efficient amplifier provides
high power with limited weight and dimension.
Thanks to the low power dissipated, the cooling of the
amplifier module does not require a fan. The digital
preamplifier with DSP (Digital Signal Processing)
controls the audio crossover of the acoustic
components, the frequency response, the limiter, and
the phase alignment.
The correct switch on of the amplifier is guaranteed by
an initialization procedure; during this test stage the
LEDs (“LIMITER” and “ON/SIGNAL”), located on the
amplifier module, stay on together for approx. 2 sec. At
the end of the switch on procedure, on the amplifier
module, the “ON/SIGNAL” green LED flashes slowly,
when there is signal absence.
During normal operation the “ON/SIGNAL” green LED
serves as Vu-meter monitoring the audio level
reproduced. The "LIMITER" red LED lights up to indicate
that the internal limiter circuit has tripped to prevent
amplifier distortion and protects the speakers against
overloads. Thermal control is provided by the internal
DSP, by means of one sensor, controls the temperature
of the amplifier, avoiding overheating by limiting the
overall volume. In case of overheating (> 90°C) the
volume decreases proportionally to the temperature
increase, making the change unnoticeable. The correct
volume and all the functions are automatically restored
when standard operating temperatures are reached.

Coverage:
The Internal speakers positions are designed to improve
the vertical coverage from the first row to the further
seats of the venue. The specially designed phase plugs
allow a wide horizontal coverage as well.
Eq Preset:
The DSP allows the selection of 8 different
equalizations:
1 - flat:
Designed specifically where a flat response curve of
the input signal is required. In this case the output
signal turns out to be as coherent as possible to the
original signal.
2- Bass Boost:
Designed to improve the bass presence.
3- Bass Reduction:
Designed for room with reverberation issue.
4- Palyback:
To listen and use music from MP3 players, CDs, etc..,
even in a live situation with the speaker positioned on
a stand. Low and high frequencies are emphasized.
5 –Club:
This preset have an extended low end.
6 –Vocal:
Designed for voices. This preset emphasizes middle and
high frequencies, making voices sharper. The feedback
is extremely limited for both cardioid and hypercardioid
microphones.
7 –Monitor:
Designed for personal monitoring of keyboard or
E-Drum.
8 –Antifeedback
The feedback is extremely limited for both cardioid and
hypercardioid microphones.
