ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
(To be used with the following model)
JD300 Series with cross tube on the mower deck.
May fit other models

IMPORTANT!!
After assembly, please be sure to operate the Deck Dolly on hard
surfaces only. Standing the Deck Dolly in the upright position on
soft or uneven surfaces may lead to injury and/or damage.
Please read through the instructions before beginning assembly.
Assembly Instructions
1) Open packaging and inspect to ensure contents are complete.
2) Contents (for either model) should be as pictured below:
2 - 7” Tires
Bottom Cross Support, Tube,
and 4 Brackets with hardware.
2 - Base Plates with hardware
Upper Deck Support,
2 Brackets, & Hardware

2 Uprights with end plugs.
3) Preassemble the bottom cross support tube and brackets as shown below while
leaving the nuts loose.

4) Preassemble the Upper Deck Support as shown below.
5) Preassemble the Base Plates and Tires as shown below. The regular nut should be on
the inside and the serrated nut should be to the outside of the base plate. Take care
to tighten the bolt and nuts to allow the tire to spin freely but not be loose on the
bolt.

6) Tap ends caps into Uprights as shown below.
7) Assemble the pieces as shown below hand tight.
8) The Base Plate may be tightened when assembled as shown below.

The Dolly should look as shown below at this point.
9) Assemble the brackets as shown below and tighten the bolts.

10) With the Deck Dolly preassembled, lay the unit over the deck and engage the
hook brackets with the tube on the mower deck’s factory mounts similar to what is
shown below. Once satisfied with the fit, you may now tighten the lower bracket bolts
insuring that the unit is square.
11) With the Dolly laying on the mower deck with the hook brackets engaged with the
deck’s factory deck shaft, position the upper bracket with the front factory deck
mounts so that the j-hooks engage the Deck Dolly bracket and that should indicate the
proper set of holes to use. Once the appropriate set of holes is determined, drill those
holes out to 3/8”or larger. Insert the preassembled Upper Deck Support into those
holes. Make adjustments for proper fit. Dolly should appear as shown below.

12) Once you are satisfied with the fit of the Dolly on your deck you may align and
tighten the lower cross support tube when the brackets are centered. Beginning from
the bottom, tighten all bolts while insuring alignment.
13) Check all bolts for tightness before operating the Deck Dolly.
14) Please take care to watch the lower deck wheels when operating the Dolly for the
first time. You may have to raise and turn the wheels so they do not catch on the
ground. Assembly is complete.
