Dell™ U2212HM Monitor
Setting the display resolution to 1920 x 1080 (for U2212HM)
For maximum display performance with Microsoft®Windows®operating systems, set the display resolution to 1920 x
1080 (for U2212HM) pixels by performing the following steps:
In Windows XP:
1. Right-click on the desktop and click Properties.
2. Select the Settings tab.
3. Move the slider-bar to the right by pressing and holding the left-mouse button and adjust the screen resolution to
1920 x 1080 (for U2212HM).
4. Click OK.
In Windows Vista®or Windows®7:
1. Right-click on the desktop and click Personalization.
2. Click Change Display Settings.
3. Move the slider-bar to the right by pressing and holding the left-mouse button and adjust the screen resolution to
1920 x 1080 (for U2212HM).
4. Click OK.
If you do not see 1920 x 1080 (for U2212HM) as an option, you may need to update your graphics driver. Depending on
the type of system you use, please select one of the two options given below:
1: If you have a Dell™ desktop or a Dell™ portable computer with internet access.
2: If you have a non Dell™ desktop, portable computer, or graphics card.

The U2212HM flat panel display has an active matrix, thin-film transistor (TFT), liquid crystal display (LCD). The monitor features include:
■54.61 cm (21.5-inch) viewable area display (Measured diagonally). 1920 x 1080 resolution, plus full-screen support for lower resolutions.
■Wide viewing angle to allow viewing from a sitting or standing position, or while moving from side-to-side.
■Tilt, swivel, vertical extension and rotate adjustment capability (with Enhanced Menu Rotation).
■Removable pedestal and Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA™) 100 mm mounting holes for flexible mounting solutions.
■Plug and play capability if supported by your system.
■On-Screen Display (OSD) adjustments for ease of set-up and screen optimization.
■Software and documentation media includes an information file (INF), Image color Matching File (ICM), and product documentation.

6USB upstream port Connect the USB cable that came with your monitor to the monitor and the computer. Once this cable is connected,you can use the USB connectors on
the side and bottom of the monitor.
7USB downstream ports Connect your USB devices. You can only use this connector after you have connected the USB cable to the computer and USB upstream connector on the
monitor.
8Stand lock feature To lock the stand to the monitor using M3 x 6 machine screw
