Este aparato está destinado únicamente al uso doméstico privado. No está
previsto para su uso comercial, industrial ni en áreas médicas o veterinarias.

Indicaciones de seguridad
• No permite que penetre agua en el interior del aparato
y no lo sumerja en agua, para evitar daños.
• Evite la penetración de impurezas.
• En caso de funciones de fallo o daños apreciables,
contacte el servicio de atención al cliente.
• Estos cepillos dentales pueden ser utilizados por niños
y por personas con facultades físicas, sensoriales o
mentales reducidas, así como su falta de conocimientos
o de experiencia, siempre que sean vigiladas o hayan
sido instruidas correctamente sobre el uso seguro del
aparato y que hayan comprendido los peligros que
entraña.
• Los niños no deben realizar la limpieza ni el manteni-
miento del aparato a menos que se encuentren bajo
supervisión.
• Los niños no deben jugar con el aparato.
• No sumerja nunca el aparato de mano en agua u otros
líquidos. ¡Esto provocaría daños irreparables en el
aparato!
• El aparato no está previsto para que lo usen niños
menores de 3 años.
• El aparato no puede entrar en contacto con superficies
calientes. ¡Esto podría estropear el aparato de forma
irreparable!
• No abra usted mismo el aparato (excepto el aloja-
miento de las pilas). ¡Existe riesgo de lesiones debido
a un ensamblaje incorrecto!
Nota acerca de la manipulación de las pilas
Tenga en cuenta lo siguiente a la hora de manipular
pilas:
• No arroje las pilas al fuego. No vuelva a cargar las
pilas. ¡Existe riesgo de explosión y de lesiones!

• No abra las pilas, no estañe ni suelde las pilas nunca.
¡Existe riesgo de explosión y de lesiones!
• Compruebe las pilas de forma regular. Las pilas gas-
tadas pueden ocasionar daños al aparato.
• Si no va a utilizar el aparato durante un periodo de
tiempo prolongado, extraiga las pilas.
• Si las pilas están gastadas, utilice guantes de protección.
Limpie el compartimiento de las pilas y los contactos
de las pilas con un paño seco.
• Los niños no deben tener acceso a las pilas. Los niños
pueden meterse las pilas en la boca y atragantarse.
En caso de ingestión de una pila consulte inmediata-
mente con un médico.
Indicaciones acerca del uso
• A partir de una edad de 6 años aprox. su niña/o puede utilizar por sí
solo el cepillo accionado por pilas. Sin embargo es imprescindible que
le explique el manejo del cepillo y el uso del reloj de arena.
• Expliquele al niño que el mejor efecto de limpieza se logra si se mueve
el cepillo de dientes suavemente de un diente al otro sin ejercer una
presión excesiva.
Primer uso
Antes de poner el aparato en funcionamiento, cerciórese de que se encuentra
en perfecto estado. En caso contrario, no deberá utilizarse.
•Abra el compartimiento de pilas deslizando la tapa de compartimiento
de pilas hacia abajo 5.
• Coloque las pilas conforme a la polaridad que se indica en el comparti-
mento de las pilas (véase “Cambio de las pilas”).
•Coloque de nuevo la tapa de compartimiento de pilas 5de nuevo en
la unidad de mano 2. Asegúrese de que está bien encajado.
•Antes del primer uso, limpie el nuevo cabezal del cepillo 1con agua
limpia.

Montar / desmontar el cabezal del cepillo
Para retirar el cabezal de cepillo 1, gire en sentido horario y extraígalo
a continuación hacia arriba.
Para colocar el cabezal de cepillo 1coloquelo ligeramente desplazado
sobre la unidad de mano 2y girelo en sentido antihorario.
El cabezal del cepillo 1 debe encastrar al colocarlo. A fin de evitar daños
en el aparato, utilice únicamente cabezales de cepillo originales.

Manejo
Advertencia
Al principio pueden sangrar un poco las encías debido a una irritación
extraña, esto es normal. Si esto se prolongase durante más de dos semanas,
deberá consultar a su odontólogo.
•Coloque de nuevo el cabezal de cepillo 1de nuevo en la unidad de
mano 2.
• Humedezca el cepillo con el agua del grifo.
• Aplique un poco de pasta para los dientes sobre el cepillo húmedo.
Advertencia
Para evitar salpicaduras de la pasta dentífrica, coloque el cepillo primero
sobre los dientes antes de encenderlo.
•Ajuste el cepillo de dientes en el interruptor de encendido 3y gire el
reloj de arena 6. Este le indica cuándo ha cumplido los dos minutos
de limpieza recomendados por los odontólogos.
• Cepillo primero la parte exterior de los dientes. Coloque el cabezal del
cepillo 1sobre las encías y desplace el cepillo por toda la superficie
de los dientes desde arriba hacia abajo.
• Empiece a limpiar cada diente desde las encías.
• Para cepillar la parte interior de los dientes proceda del mismo modo.
• Para limpiar la superficie de masticación pase el cepillo giratorio por
todos los dientes ejerciendo una ligera presión.
• A continuación, cepille con cuidado la parte posterior de las muelas
posteriores.
•Una vez que ha pasado la arena en el reloj de arena 6y limpiados
todos los dientes, apague el cepillo de dientes en el interruptor de
apagado 4ahora podrá retirar el cepillo de la boca.
•Cuando finalice de utilizar el cabezal de cepillo 1limpielo cuidadosa-
mente con agua corriente.
Estuche de viaje
Si desea llevarse el cepillo de diente de viaje, lo puede guardar en el
estuche de viaje.

Limpieza y mantenimiento
•Limpie la unidad de mano 2y el reloj de arena 6sólo con un paño
ligeramente húmedo. No utilice productos de limpieza o disolventes.
Estos podrían dañar las superficies de plástico.
•Limpie los cabezales de cepillo 1después de cada uso cuidadosamente
con agua corriente. Le recomendamos que limpie cada 2 - 4 semanas
los cabezales de cepillo 1con líquido de uso comercial para prótesis
de dientes. Después de unos 3 meses aprox., o como muy tarde cuando
las celdas doblen hacia fuera, deberá utilizar un cabezal de cepillo 1
nuevo.
¡ Advertencia de daños en el aparato!
Para eliminar restos de pasta dentífrica reseca en la unidad de mando 2,
no use objetos puntiagudos ya que de lo contrario podrá dañar la junta y
por consiguiente el aparato.
Cambio de las pilas
Cuando aprecie que los movimientos del cepillo de dientes se debilita,
es momento de cambiar las pilas.
• Abra el compartimiento de pilas, tirando de
la tapa de compartimiento de pilas 5hacia
abajo y extraiga las pilas vacías.
• Inserte dos pilas nuevas del tipo AA/LR6 1,5 V.
Utilice siempre pilas del mismo tipo y no mez-
cle nunca pilas usadas y nuevas.
• Tenga en cuenta la correcta polaridad al intro-
ducirlas. Las polaridades de ambos contactos
están indicadas en el interior del compartimiento
de las pilas. Preste atención al plano siguiente.
• Vuelva a colocar la tapa de compartimiento
de pilas 5de modo que encastre y quede
firmemente cerrada.

Evacuación
No tire el aparato en la basura doméstica normal. Este
producto está sujeto a la directiva europea 2002/96/EC.
Evacue el aparato en un centro de evacuación autorizado o a través de las
instalaciones de evacuación comunitarias. Tenga en cuenta las normativas
actualmente en vigor.
En caso de duda póngase en contacto con las instalaciones municipales
de eliminación de residuos.
Eliminación de las pilas/baterías
Las pilas/baterías no pueden ser desechadas con la basura
doméstica. Cada consumidor está obligado legalmente a entregar
las pilas/baterías en un punto de recogida de residuos de su muni-
cipio, barrio o en un establecimiento.
Con esta obligación se consigue que las pilas / baterías se desechen de
forma respetuosa con el medio ambiente. Devuelva las pilas/acumuladores
vacías.
Evacue todos los materiales de embalaje de forma respetuosa
con el medio ambiente.
Garantía y asistencia técnica
Este aparato tiene 3 años de garantía desde la fecha de compra. El aparato
ha sido fabricado cuidadosamente y ha sido probado antes de su entrega.
Guarde el comprobante de caja como justificante de compra. Si necesitara
hacer uso de la garantía, póngase en contacto por teléfono con su punto
de servicio habitual. Éste es el único modo de garantizar un envío gratuito.
La garantía cubre los defectos de fabricación o del material, pero no los
daños de transporte, las piezas sujetas a desgaste ni los daños sufridos
por las piezas frágiles (p. ej. el interruptor o las pilas). El producto ha sido
diseñado únicamente para el uso privado y no para el uso comercial. En
caso de manipulación indebida e incorrecta, uso de la fuerza y en caso de
abrir el aparato personas extrañas a nuestros centros de asistencia técnica
autorizados, la garantía pierde su validez.
Esta garantía no reduce en forma alguna sus derechos legales.
El tiempo de garantia no se prolonga debido a prestaciones de garantía.
Esto es válido también para piezas sustituidas y reparadas. Los posibles
defectos o daños detectados al desembalar el aparato se han de notificar
de inmediato o como muy tarde 2 días desde la fecha de compra. Todas
las reparaciones finalizado el tiempo de garantía se han de pagar.

instructions are a part of this product. They contain important information
in regard to safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, familiarise
yourself with all of these operating and safety instructions. Use the product
only as described and only for the specified areas of application. In addition,
pass these documents on, together with the product, to any future owner.
Intended use
This appliance is intended exclusively for personal dental care. This appliance
is intended exclusively for use in domestic households. The appliance is not
intended for use in commercial, industrial or medical environments. It is not
suitable for animal care.

Safety instructions
• To avoid damage, do not permit liquids of any kind to
enter the appliance and do not submerse it in water.
• Avoid also possible penetration by foreign objects.
• In the event of malfunction or apparent damage,
please contact our Customer Services.
• Toothbrushes may be used by children and by persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are
supervised or, in regard to the safe use of the appliance,
have been instructed in its use and have understood
the potential risks.
• Cleaning and user maintenance should not be per-
formed by children, unless they are being supervised.
• Children may not play with the appliance.
• Do not submerse the hand appliance in water or other
liquids. This would lead to irreparable damage to the
appliance!
• This appliance is not intended for children under 3 years
of age.
• This appliance may not come into contact with hot sur-
faces. The appliance could be irreparably damaged!
• Do not open the appliance (except the battery compart-
ment) yourself. There is a risk of injury with improper
reassembly!
Information regarding the handling of batteries
When interacting with batteries, please observe the
following:
• Do not throw batteries into a fire. Do not recharge
batteries. There is a risk of explosions and injuries!
• Never open batteries, never solder or weld batteries.
There is a risk of explosions and injuries!
• Regularly check the condition of the batteries. Leaking
batteries can cause damage to the appliance.

• If you do not intend to use the appliance for an extended
period, remove the battery.
• In the event of the batteries leaking acids, first put on
a pair of protective gloves. Then clean the battery
compartment and the battery contacts with a dry cloth.
• Keep batteries well away from children. Children
might put batteries into their mouths and swallow
them. If a battery is swallowed, medical assistance
must be sought immediately.
Tips on usage
• From about the age of 6 years children can use this battery powered
toothbrush by themselves. It is however necessary that you explain to
the child how to use both the toothbrush and the sandglass.
• Explain to the child that the best cleaning effect is obtained by moving
the brush from tooth to tooth gently and without heavy pressure.
First use
Before taking the appliance into use check to ensure that it is in a fault-free
condition. If it is not, it may not be used.
•Open the battery compartment in that you slide the battery compartment
lid 5downwards.
• Insert the batteries in the battery compartment as per the polarity diagram
(see chapter entitled “Changing the batteries”).
•Replace the battery compartment lid 5back onto the hand element 2.
Ensure that it is firmly secured.
•Before the first use, clean the new brush heads 1with clear water.

Fitting / removing brush heads
To remove the brush head 1, turn it clockwise and then pull it upwards.
To fit the brush head 1place it slightly offset on the hand element 2and
then turn it anti-clockwise.
The brush head 1must engage on being put back on. To avoid damage
to the appliance, use only original brush heads.
(For replacement brush heads, see the order card)
Operation
Warning
Due to the unaccustomed operation some gum bleeding may initially occur,
this is normal. Should this continue for more than two weeks, consult your
dentist.
•Place the brush head 1on the hand element 2.
• Moisten the brush under flowing water.
• Apply some toothpaste to the moistened brush.
Notice
To avoid spraying toothpaste, first place the toothbrush on the teeth before
switching it on.
•Start the toothbrush with the on switch 3and turn the sandglass 6
upside down. This indicates to you when the 2 minutes of cleaning
recommended by dentists has been completed.
• Brush the outer surfaces of your teeth first of all. Place the brush head 1
on your gums and move the brush upwards/downwards from the gums
to over the crown of the tooth.
• Start again from the gums for each individual tooth.
• Clean the inner surfaces of your teeth with the same technique.
• To clean the chewing surfaces, direct the rotating brush head with light
pressure over the chewing surfaces.
• Finally, thoroughly clean the back parts of the molar teeth.
•When the sand in the sandglass 6has passed through and all teeth
have been brushed, stop the toothbrush with the off switch 4and first
then remove it from your mouth.
•After use, clean the brush heads 1thoroughly under running water.
Travelling case
If you wish to take the toothbrush with you on your travels, you can pack it
in the travelling case.

Cleaning and Care
•Clean the hand element 2and the sandglass 6only with a soft and
lightly moistened cloth. Do not use detergents or solvents. They can
damage the plastic surfaces.
•After use, clean the brush heads 1thoroughly under running water.
We recommend cleaning the brush heads 1in a standard commercial
cleaning fluid for prosthetics every 2 - 4 weeks. After about 3 months,
at the latest however when the bristles bend outwards, you should fit
a new brush head 1.
Warning regarding appliance damage!
Do not use sharp objects to remove dried-on toothpaste from the hand
element 2, they could damage the seals and thus the appliance.
Changing the batteries
When the movement become noticably weaker, the batteries must be
exchanged.
• Open the battery compartment by sliding the
the battery compartment lid 5downwards and
remove the old batteries.
• Insert two new batteries of the type AA/LR6 1.5 V.
Always use batteries of the same type and never
use a new and an old battery together.
• Ensure that the battery has the correct polarity
when inserting it. This is marked on both contacts
inside the battery compartment. Please observe
the adjacent drawing.
•Replace the battery compartment lid 5so that
it audibly engages and is firmly closed.

Disposal
Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic
waste. This product is subject to the provisions of European
Directive 2002/96/EC.
Dispose of the appliance through a registered specialist disposal firm or
through your community waste disposal department. Observe the currently
applicable regulations.
In case of doubt, contact your local waste disposal facility.
Disposal of batteries/accumulators
Used batteries/rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of in
household waste. Every consumer is legally obliged to dispose of
batteries at a collection site of his community/city district or at a
retail store.
The purpose of this obligation is to ensure that batteries are disposed of in
a non-polluting manner. Only dispose of batteries/cells when they are fully
discharged.
Dispose of the packaging materials in an environmentally
responsible manner.
Warranty and Service
This appliance entitles you to a warranty of 3 years from the date of
purchase. The appliance has been manufactured with care and has been
conscientiously examined and tested before delivery.
Please keep your receipt as proof of purchase. In the case of a warranty
claim, please make contact by telephone with our service department.
Only in this way can a post-free despatch for your goods be assured.
The warranty covers only claims for material and manufacturing defects,
not for transport damage, worn parts or for damage to fragile components,
e.g. buttons or batteries. The appliance is intended for domestic use only,
NOT for commercial purposes. The warranty is void in the case of abusive
and improper handling, use of force and internal tampering not carried out
by our authorized service branch.
Your statutory rights are in no way restricted by the terms of this warranty.
The warranty period is not extended by repairs carried out under warranty.
This applies also to replaced or repaired parts. All damages or defects
discovered on purchase must be reported immediately after the unpacking,
at the latest two days after the date of purchase. Repairs required after the
