Gratulation zum Kauf Ihrer neuen DETOMASO–Uhr.
Sie sind jetzt Eigentümer eines Zeitgebers, der sich durch höchste Präzisi-
on und innovativem Design auszeichnet.
Für jede Uhr gilt, dass wir alle wichtigen Ersatzteile für viele Jahre bereit-
halten und damit garantieren, dass jede Uhr über einen langen Zeitraum
repariert werden kann.
Damit wir gewährleisten können, dass Ihre neue Uhr viele Jahre problem-
los funktioniert, lesen Sie bitte sorgfältig die folgende Bedienungsanleitung.

Wasserdichtigkeit
Die Wasserdichtigkeit Ihrer DETOMASO–Uhr ist mit 10 ATM getestet.
Das heißt, Ihre Uhr besteht unbeschadet Händewaschen, Regenspritzer.
Schwimmen, Duschen oder Baden. Sie ist jedoch nicht geeignet zum
Tauchen.
Wasserdichtigkeit ist keine bleibende Eigenschaft; sie sollte jährlich und
insbesondere vor besonderen Belastungen überprüft werden, da die ein-
gebauten Dichtungselemente in ihrer Funktion und im täglichen Gebrauch
nachlassen. Um die Wasserdichtigkeit einer Uhr zu gewährleisten werden
Dichtungen verwendet. Diese unterliegen einem natürlichen Alterungspro-
zess. Sie werden u. a. von Schweiß und Säuren angegriffen.
DIN 8310 regelt Kriterien die, neue Uhren aushalten müssen. Die Wider-
standsfähigkeit wird in Atmosphäre angegeben und auf dem Gehäusebo-
den vermerkt. Ihre DETOMASO–Uhr hat eine Wasserdichtigkeit von 10
ATM. Die Druckangabe „10 ATM“ darf nicht verwechselt werden mit der
Tauchtiefe, sondern ist die Definition des Prüfdrucks. Ein Prüfdruck von
„10 ATM“ wird in 100 m Wassertiefe erreicht. Beim Schwimmen oder
beim Sprung ins Wasser kann kurzfristig ein größerer Druck auf die Dicht-
elemente entstehen als der garantierte Prüfdruck.
Besonders gefährdet sind die Uhren, wenn man nach längerem Sonnen-
baden ins Wasser springt, weil sich dann der Aufschlagdruck mit dem
Unterdruck durch die Abkühlung addiert, was leichter zu Schäden führen
kann. Beim Batteriewechsel ist es wichtig die Dichtungen zu überprüfen
und ggf. zu erneuern.

Pflegehinweise
Ihre Uhr ist ein Meisterwerk der Elektronik und Feinmechanik von hoher
Präzision. Sie soll Ihnen lange die richtige Zeit anzeigen. Schützen Sie Ihre
Uhr vor Stößen, Magnetfeldern, starker Hitze, Wasser und Chemikalien,
sowie vor mechanischem Abrieb. Zum Schlafen sollten Uhren grundsätz-
lich abgelegt werden.
Bleibt eine batteriebetriebene Uhr stehen oder wird das Nachlassen der
Batteriespannung angezeigt, sollte sie unverzüglich zum Fachgeschäft
gebracht werden, damit die leere Batterie weder in der Uhr noch in der
Umwelt Schaden anrichtet.
Der Batteriewechsel sollte regelmäßig und im Abstand von 1 – 1 ½
Jahren im Fachgeschäft durchgeführt werden. Lassen Sie auch gegebe-
nenfalls den Zustand der Dichtungen überprüfen und diese, wenn nötig,
erneuern.
Bei Kondenswasserbildung (Nebel unter dem Glas) muss die Uhr unver-
züglich ins Fachgeschäft gebracht werden, damit die Feuchtigkeit keinen
Schaden anrichtet. Die Krone sollte beim Tragen immer eingedrückt sein.

Bedienung der Uhr
Einstellung der Uhrzeit
1. Ziehen Sie die Krone in die zweite Position heraus.
2. Drehen Sie die Krone, um die Stunden und Minuten einzustellen.
3. Nachdem Sie die Zeit eingestellt haben, drücken Sie die Krone zurück
in die Normalposition.
Einstellung des Datums
1. Ziehen Sie die Krone in die erste Position heraus.
2. Drehen Sie die Krone im Uhrzeigersinn, um das Datum einzustellen.
Falls Sie das Datum zwischen den Stunden um ca. 9:00 p.m. (abends)
bis 1:00 a.m. (morgens) einstellen, kann es sein, dass das Datum (der
Kalendertag) am nächsten Tag nicht wechselt.
3. Nachdem Sie das Datum (den Kalendertag) eingestellt haben, drücken
Sie die Krone zurück in die Normalposition.
Verwendung des Chronographen
Der Chronograph misst und zeigt die Zeit in 1-Sekunden-Einheiten für
maximal 30 Minuten an.
Der Chronograph stoppt automatisch, nachdem er kontinuierlich 30
Minuten gelaufen ist.

Messen der Zeit mit dem Chronographen
1. Drücken Sie Knopf „A“, um den Chronographen zu starten.
2. Mit jedem Drücken von Knopf „A“ wird der Chronograph gestartet oder
gestoppt.
3. Durch Drücken von Knopf „B“ wird der Chronograph zurückgestellt, und
der Minuten- sowie Sekundenzeiger des Chronographen kehren auf ihre
NULL-Positionen zurück.
Rückstellung des Chronographen
(Einschliesslich nach dem Austausch der Batterie)
Dieses Verfahren sollte ausgeführt werden, wenn der Minuten- und der
Sekundenzeiger des Chronographen nicht auf die Null-Sekunden-Position
zurückkehren.
1. Ziehen Sie die Krone in die zweite Position heraus.
2. Drücken Sie den Knopf „A“, um den Sekundenzeiger des Chronogra-
phen vorzustellen.
Drücken Sie den Knopf „B“, um den Sekundenzeiger des Chronogra-
phen zurückzustellen.
Der Minutenzeiger des Chronographen wird mit dem Sekundenzeiger
des Chronographen synchronisiert. Sie können den Sekundenzeiger
des Chronographen schnell vorstellen, indem Sie Knopf „A“ oder „B“
gedrückt halten.
3. Sobald Sie die Zeiger auf Null zurückgestellt haben, setzen Sie die Zeit
zurück, und drücken Sie die Krone in die Normalposition zurück.

Wir garantieren, dass Ihre Uhr aus qualitativ hochwertigen Materialien
gefertigt wurde. Aufwändige Qualitätskontrollen garantieren, dass die Uhr
vor Verlassen der Fabrikation geprüft wurde. Trotzdem können Material-
fehler leider nicht immer ausgeschlossen werden. Sollte Ihre neue Uhr
nicht fehlerfrei sein, wenden Sie sich bitte innerhalb der Garantiefrist an
unseren Kundendienst.
Auf Ihre Uhr gewähren wir 24 Monate Garantie ab Kaufdatum auf alle
Material- und Herstellungsfehler. Diese Herstellergarantie wird unbescha-
det der gesetzlichen Gewährleistungsansprüche gewährt. Die Garantie
bezieht sich auf die Funktion des Uhrwerks und der einwandfreien Verar-
beitung der Uhr.
Nicht durch die Garantie abgedeckt sind Batterien, Verschleiß am
Gehäuse, Glas oder Uhrband sowie Schäden, die durch unsachgemäße
Benutzung entstehen (Unfall, Glasbruch, Wasserschaden, herausgerisse-
ne Krone).
Innerhalb der Garantie werden Fabrikationsmängel kostenlos von uns
behoben. Sollte die Uhr nicht zu reparieren sein, wird die Uhr durch ein
vergleichbares Modell ersetzt. Eine Haftung für Neben- und Folgeschäden
ist ausgeschlossen.
Im Garantiefall senden Sie Ihre Uhr zusammen mit Ihrem Namen und
Ihrer Adresse sowie einer Kopie des Kaufbeleges an den Händler, bei
dem Sie die Uhr erworben haben. Oder an die auf der Rückseite dieser
Bedienungsanleitung angegebenen Anschrift.

Foreword
Congratulations on the purchase of your new DETOMASO watch. You are
now the new owner of a high precision time keeper characterised by its
innovative design.
We keep a long term stock of the most important spare parts for all our
watches, guaranteeing repair over a period of many years.
In order to ensure that your new watch functions properly for many years,
please read the following instructions carefully.

Waterproof properties
The water resistance of your DETOMASO watch has been tested to be
10 ATM.
This means that it is splashproof and that you may wash your hands or
take a bath or a shower with it. You may also swim with it but it is not
suitable for diving. Waterproofness is not a permanent characteristic; it
should be tested annually and in particular before the watch is put under
exceptional strain, as the seals deteriorate gradually in daily use. The
seals are the important factor in guaranteeing the waterproofness of
a watch. These age naturally and are also affected by perspiration and
acids. ISO 2281 stipulates which standards have to be met by a new
watch. The level of waterproofness is given in atm and noted on the base
of the casing.
Your DETOMASO watch has been tested and has a water resistance of
10 ATM. The specification „10 ATM” is not to be confused with the diving
depth; it is simply the definition of the inspection pressure. An inspection
pressure of 10 ATM is reached at a depth of 100 m. You cannot go
diving with this watch. In some cases a short-term higher pressure than
the guaranteed inspection pressure may be enforced on the seals, for
example when swimming or diving into water.
Watches are at particular risk when the wearer dives into water after
sunbathing. The combination of the impact pressure with the negative
pressure caused by the sudden drop in temperature can quite easily
cause damage. It is important to check and, if necessary, replace seals
when the battery is replaced.

Instructions for care
Your watch is a high precision electronic and mechanical masterpiece and
should serve you well for a long time.
Please keep your watch away from magnetic fields, heat, water and che-
micals. Do not submit it to sudden impact or abrasion. Watches should
not be worn in bed.
If a battery operated watch stops or the low battery indicator shows, it
should be taken to a specialist as soon as possible to prevent the battery
from causing damage in the watch or to the environment.
Batteries should be replaced by a specialist at regular intervals of approx.
1 – 1 ½ years. The seals can then be checked and, if necessary, replaced
at the same time.
In the event of condensation forming underneath the glass (misting), the
watch should be taken to a specialist as soon as possible to prevent the
moisture from causing further damage.
The crown should always be firmly pressed in or screwed tight during use.

Operating the watch
Setting the watch time
1. Pull out the crown to the second position.
2. Spin the crown to set the hour and minute.
3. After you have set the time, move back the crown to the
normalposition.
Setting the date
1. Pull out the crown to the first position.
2. Spin the crown in clockwise direction to set the date.
If you set the date between ca. 9:00 p. m. (evenings) to 1:00 a. m.
(mornings), then it is possible that the date (the calendar day) might not
change the next day.
3. After you have set the time, move back the crown to the
normalposition.
Use of chronograph
The chronograph misst and shows the time in1-Second-unit for maximum
30 minutes.
The chronograph stops automatically after it has run continuously for 30
minutes.

Measuring time with the chronograph
1. Press Button „A“ to start the chronograph.
2. With each pressure on Button „A“, the chronograph is started or
stopped.
3. By pressing Button „B“, the chronograph is reset and the minutes-
as well as seconds handof chronograph returns to its NULL-Position.
Resetting of chronograph
(Inclusive after the exchange of battery)
This procedure should be carried out if the minutes-and seconds hand of
chronograph do not return to the Null-Seconds-Position.
1. Pull out the crown to the second position.
2. Press the Button „A“ to represent the seconds handof the
chronograph.
Press the Button „B“ to reset the seconds handof the chronograph.
The minutes hand of chronographis synchronized with the seconds hand
of chronograph. You can quickly represent/introduce the seconds hand of
chronograph where you can hold the Button „A“ or „B“.
3. As soon as the pointer has been reset to Null/zero, reset the time and
press the crown to normalposition again.

24 month warranty
We guarantee that your watch is made of high quality materials. Extensive
quality controls guarantee that the watch is checked before being re-
leased by the manufacturer.
Nevertheless, material faults cannot always be avoided. Should your new
watch show any faults, please consult our customer service department
within the valid warranty period.
We provide a 24 month warranty from date of purchase on all material
faults and production errors. This manufacturer’s warranty applies regard-
less of statutory warranty rights. The warranty covers the functioning of
the clockwork and the flawless workmanship of the watch. Not covered
are: batteries, wear and tear of the casing, glass or watch strap as well
as damage caused by improper use (accident, broken glass, water dama-
ge, pulled-out crown).
We will repair manufacturing faults free of charge within the warranty
period. Should the watch be irreparable it will be replaced by a compara-
ble model.
To obtain warranty services please return the product to the place of
purchase, together with a copy of your sales receipt or other proof of
purchase that shows the date of purchase. Alternatively you may send the
watch to the service centre listed on the back of this booklet.

Etanchéité 10 ATM
L‘étanchéité de votre montre DETOMASO est testée avec 10 ATM. Cela
signifie que votre montre peut être utilisée sans préjudice lors du lavage
des mains, lorsqu’il pleut, pour la natation, la douche, le bain. Toutefois,
elle n‘est pas appropriée à la plongée.
Étanchéité n´est pas une caractéristique permanente et doit être révisée
annuellement, car les joints d‘étanchéité perdent de leur efficacité à
l´usage. Pour garantir l´étanchéité d‘une montre des joints sont utilisés.
Ceux-ci subissent un processus naturel de vieillissement. Ils sont attaqués
entre autres par la sueur et l’acidité.
La norme DIN 8310 détermine les critères que les nouvelles montres
doivent supporter. La résistance est exprimée en ATM et notée sur le
fond. L‘étanchéité de votre montre DETOMASO est testée avec 10 ATM.
L‘indication de pression „10 ATM“ ne doit pas être confondue avec la
profondeur, c’est la définition de la pression d‘épreuve. Une pression
d‘épreuve de 10 ATM »est réalisée dans 100 m d‘eau. En nageant ou en
sautant dans l´eau une pression plus importante que la pression garantie
sur les joints peut être atteinte. Les montres sont particulièrement me-
nacées, par exemple après une longue exposition au soleil si vous sautez
dans l’eau, car à la pression de l´impact s’ajoute la dépression due au
refroidissement, pouvant provoquer plus facilement des dommages.
Lorsque vous changez la batterie, il est important de vérifier les joints et
de les renouveler si nécessaire.
