2.2.2 PLACE OF INSTALLATION
The metered water flow must not be in gas phase. Therefore, AQUILA must be placed at a low
point of a pipe in order to prevent the formation of air pockets. The technology used for metering
water does not require the presence of a straight length, either before or after the meter.

2.2.3 INSTALLATION
The body of the meter incorporates two nozzles, each with a standard connection thread. The
gaskets that form the seal between the meter and the connectors are not included.
Do not exceed the maximum tightening torque of 30 Nm.
2.2.4 LIABILITY
If the installation is not carried out in accordance with good workmanship practices, and if the
above mentioned procedures are not followed, the warranty shall be null and void.
If there are additives or additional substances in the water or any process of the
installation, the installer orthe operator has to make sure that the characteristics of
the drinking water and the materials of the installation, meter included, are not altered.
3 PRECAUTIONS OF USE
3.1 STORAGE
Do not store the meters for more than 3 months
Do not stack the pallets and do not place loads heavier than 80 kg on the meters
3.2 CLEANING
The body of the meter is made of composite; it can safely be cleaned with slightly acidic water
(vinegar, de-scaling agent) in order to remove any scale deposit.
The register is made of plastic. The use of solvents is prohibited for its care and maintenance.
Only use soapy water. Solvent vapours may diminish the mechanical resistance of the main parts
made of plastic.
The water must be clear and free of suspended solid particles (sand etc.) above 0.1 mm (max.
concentration 0.1 gram/litre); clean the filter periodically to prevent clogging.

The temperature of the water in the meter must range from +1°C to +50°C (cold water).
