APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Before applying the brace, please read these instructions completely and carefully.
Correct application is vital to the proper functioning of the brace.

USE AND CARE
• Outer shell and gel bag may be hand washed with warm water and mild detergent. AIR DRY.
• Freeze only therapeutic bag. DO NOT place entire system in freezer.

A
Open ankle stirrup so gel and closed cell foam are facing
upward. (Figure 1)
B
Position the heel evenly on the center pad. Wrap lower hook
and loop closure strap around ankle for alignment. Center
side shells along ankle and leg. Wrap upper strap and adjust if
necessary. (Figure 2)
C
Apply pressure to the sides of the therapeutic gel bag to allow
even flow of pressure within the plastic shell. Tighten lower
and upper straps for a secure fit and patient comfort. (Figure 3)
Straps may be trimmed if necessary.
D
Adjust vertical side straps, placing both hands on straps,
pulling upward until desired fit. (Figure 4) Secure vertical side
straps with hook and loop closure.
NOTE: the Surround w/gel ankle brace should be worn over a
piece of stockinette or thin cotton sock.

COLD THERAPY
• Remove therapeutic gel bag from ankle support system and place in freezer for 2 hours
• Place gel bag in ankle support and follow fitting instructions.
• NOTE: absorbent sock should be worn before ankle support is fitted

USO E CURA
• Lavare la conchiglia esterna e la borsa al gel a mano in acqua tiepida con sapone neutro. ASCIUGARE ALL'ARIA.
• Mettere nel freezer solo la borsa terapeutica. NON mettere nel freezer l'intera cavigliera.
A
Aprire la staffa di supporto per caviglia in modo che il gel e il
materiale espanso siano rivolti verso l'alto (figura 1).
B
Appoggiare il tallone sull'imbottitura centrale, facendo in modo
di distribuire il peso in modo regolare. Fissare i velcri inferiori
attorno alla caviglia per un corretto allineamento. Centrare le
conchiglie laterali lungo la caviglia e la gamba. Avvolgere lo
strap superiore e regolarlo se necessario (figura 2).
C
Comprimere i lati della borsa terapeutica al gel per consentire un
flusso omogeneo della pressione all'interno della conchiglia di
plastica. Stringere gli strap inferiore e superiore per garantire una
tenuta perfetta e un confort ottimale (figura 3). Se necessario,
tagliare gli strap.
D
Regolare gli strap verticali sui lati appoggiandovi entrambe
le mani e tirando verso l'alto fino ad ottenere l'aderenza
desiderata (figura 4). Fissare gli strap verticali sui lati con i
velcri.
NOTA: la cavigliera Surround al gel va indossata sopra
una benda elastica o un calzino sottile in cotone.
TERAPIA DEL FREDDO
• Estrarre la borsa terapeutica al gel dalla cavigliera e metterla in freezer per 2 ore.
• Reinserire la borsa al gel nella cavigliera e seguire le istruzioni per l'applicazione.
• NOTA: prima di applicare la cavigliera indossare un calzino ad azione assorbente (tubolare).

UTILISATION ET ENTRETIEN
• La coquille externe et la poche de gel peuvent être lavées à l'eau chaude avec un détergent doux. LAISSER SÉCHER À L’AIR
LIBRE.
• Ne congelez que la poche thérapeutique. NE congelez PAS toute l'orthèse.
A
Ouvrez l'étrier de cheville de façon à ce que le gel et la
mousse alvéolée soient tournés vers le haut. (Figure 1)
B
Placez le talon au milieu du rembourrage central. Pour assurer
un bon alignement, enroulez la sangle de fermeture par
contact inférieure autour de la cheville. Centrez les coquilles
latérales le long de la cheville et de la jambe. Enroulez la
sangle supérieure et ajustez selon les besoins. (Figure 2)
C
Appuyez sur les côtés de la poche de gel thérapeutique pour que
la pression à l’intérieur de la coquille en plastique soit régulière.
Resserrez les sangles inférieures et supérieures pour que l'orthèse
soit bien ajustée et que le confort du patient soit assuré. (Figure 3)
Il est possible de couper les sangles, si nécessaire.
D
Ajustez les sangles latérales verticales en les saisissant à deux
mains et en tirant vers le haut jusqu'à obtenir le réglage voulu.
(Figure 4) Fixez les sangles latérales verticales à l'aide du
système de fermeture par contact.
REMARQUE: l'orthèse de cheville Surround avec gel doit
être portée sur une socquette ou sur une fine chaussette en
coton.
CRYOTHÉRAPIE
• Retirez la poche de gel thérapeutique de la chevillère et placez-la 2 heures au congélateur
• Insérez la poche de gel dans la chevillère et suivez les instructions de mise en place.
• REMARQUE : enfilez une chaussette absorbante avant de mettre la chevillère en place.

USO Y CUIDADO
• La carcasa externa y la bolsa de gel pueden lavarse a mano con un detergente suave en agua tibia. SECADO AL AIRE.
• Congele sólo la bolsa terapéutica. NO COLOQUE todo el sistema en el congelador.
A
Abra la tobillera con estribo de tal manera que el gel y el
alveolo de gomaespuma cerrada queden hacia arriba. (Figura 1)
B
Coloque el talón en forma pareja sobre la almohadilla central.
Envuelva la correa de cierre tipo Velcro®de la parte inferior
alrededor del tobillo para obtener una correcta alineación.
Centre las carcasas laterales a lo largo de la pantorrilla y el
tobillo. Envuelva la correa de cierre tipo Velcro®de la parte
superior y ajústela si es necesario. (Figura 2)
C
Ejerza presión en los lados de la bolsa de gel terapéutico para
permitir que la presión se distribuya uniformemente dentro de la
carcasa de plástico. Apriete las correas tipo Velcro®de la parte
inferior y superior para lograr un ajuste seguro y la comodidad
del paciente. (Figura 3) Estas correas pueden recortarse si es
necesario.
D
Ajuste las correas laterales verticales, colocando ambas manos
en las correas y tirando de ellas hacia arriba hasta obtener el
ajuste deseado. (Figura 4) Fije las correas laterales verticales
con el cierre tipo Velcro®.
NOTA: la tobillera con gel Surround debería llevarse
puesta encima de una pieza de estoquinete o un calcetín
de algodón delgado.
TERAPIA CON FRÍO
• Extraiga la bolsa de gel terapéutico del sistema de soporte de la tobillera y póngala en el congelador durante 2 horas
• Coloque la bolsa de gel en la tobillera y siga las instrucciones de colocación.
• NOTA: es conveniente llevar puesto un calcetín absorbente antes de ajustar la tobillera

PFLEGEHINWEISE
• Waschen Sie die äußere Schale und den Gelbeutel in Handwäsche mit einem milden Reinigungsmittel in warmem Wasser. LUFT-
TROCKNEN.
• Frieren Sie nur den therapeutischen Beutel ein. Legen Sie NICHT das gesamte Knöchelstützsystem in das Gefrierfach.

Öffnen Sie den Knöchelbügel, so dass das Gel und der
geschlossene Schaumstoff nach oben zeigen. (Abbildung 1)
B
Legen Sie die Ferse gerade auf die mittlere Einlage. Wickeln Sie
den unteren Haken und das Schlaufenverschlussband zum
Ausrichten um den Knöchel. Legen Sie die Seitenschalen
mittig entlang der Knöchel und des Wadenbeins an. Befestigen
Sie das obere Band, und passen Sie es gegebenenfalls an.

C
Drücken Sie auf die Seiten des Beutels mit dem therapeutischen Gel,
um einen gleichmäßigen Druckfluss innerhalb der Plastikschalen zu
ermöglichen. Fixieren Sie die oberen und unteren Bänder, so dass die
Bandage sicher und für den Patienten komfortabel sitzt. (Abbildung 3)
Alle Bänder können nötigenfalls gekürzt werden.
D
Passen Sie die vertikalen Seitenbänder an, indem Sie mit
beiden Händen an den Bändern nach oben ziehen, bis der
gewünschte Sitz erreicht ist. (Abbildung 4) Fixieren Sie die
vertikalen Seitenbänder mit dem Haken und dem
Schlaufenverschluss.
HINWEIS: Die Surround-Bandage mit Knöchel-
Gelpolster sollte über einem Strumpf oder einer dünnen
Baumwollsocke getragen werden.
KÄLTETHERAPIE
• Entfernen Sie den therapeutischen Gelbeutel von dem Knöchelstützsystem und legen Sie diesen für zwei Stunden in das Gefrierfach.
• Legen Sie den Gelbeutel in die Knöchelstütze und befolgen Sie die Anpassungsanweisungen.
• HINWEIS: Vor dem Anlegen der Knöchelstütze sollte ein saugfähiger Strumpf angezogen werden.
