Inverters change DC current into AC current. Dometic has partnered
with HDM, an experienced inverter manufacturer, to provide a series of inverters
that will allow a Dometic system to start and run efficiently. Dometic/HDM inverters
are available as an inverter only or an inverter/charger with a shorepower pass-
through. The efficiency of this inverter approaches 90% and will not degrade as it
powers the system over time.

Discharge and Return Air Grilles are available in different sizes for a variety
of applications. All grilles are black and compliment truck interiors. They are easy
to install, with mounting frames and snap-on covers. Each system installation
requires at least one discharge grilled and one return air grille. The grilles connect
to the system with flexible ducting. Please refer to the Auxiliary Remote (L-
2317) and Self-Contained (L-2327) HVAC Systems spec sheets for a chart of
recommended duct and minimum grille sizes for various system capacities. Price
sheets list available sizes.
Battery boxes by Dometic provide a dry and secure place for the batteries
providing power to Dometic HVAC Systems. Ruggedly constructed of aluminum,
Dometic battery boxes are attached with an extremely strong clamping device and
are installed in minutes. They are available empty, or loaded and assembled with
Group 31 AGM batteries, inverter, circuit breaker, holddowns and all connecting
cables. Surfaces made from 1/4" and 1/8" 5052-H32 aluminum; clamps and
channels made from 6061-T6 aluminum; steel angle iron made from 1/4" steel;
hardware is metric equivalent of Grade 8.
