DESCRIPTION:
The H7 SV is a swimming pool con roller ha hea s a swimming pool by he use of an auxiliary hea er or if
solar gain is available an au oma ic valve will diver wa er o he solar collec ors.
The auxiliary hea er (gas or hea pump) has a empera ure limi se ing (aux limi ), he pool will be hea ed
o his limi by he auxiliary hea er.
The auxiliary hea er run ime is con rolled by hea demand se ings, which can be se o on/off and se o
run be ween s ar and end imes, no e ha if he s ar & end ime are se o he same values he auxiliary
hea er will run for 24 hours o achieve empera ure limi .
If solar gain is available he solar sys em will hea he pool o he solar limi (sol limi ).
Solar has a ime lockou ha preven s hea ing ou side he hours of 09:00 o 19:00.
An au oma ic diver valve will diver wa er o he solar collec ors when here is enough solar gain and will
rever back o he auxiliary hea er if required.
SETTINGS MENU
To en er he SETTINGS MENU push ei her he up or down bu ons and he following will be displayed;

Use Up/Down bu ons o scroll o he op ion you wish o change. Press he Enter bu on o selec he
curren ly displayed menu i em.

UP=ON DOWN=OFF
MANUAL MODE allows you o manually se he pump o ‘on’ by pressing he Up bu on or ‘off’ by pressing
he Down bu on.
Pressing Enter will re urn you o he SETTINGS MENU. You can also keep pressing Enter o oggle he
pump from ‘on’ o ‘off’ and vice versa.
MANUAL MODE will ime ou , af er 24 hours he H7 will re urn o normal opera ion.

When you en er he TEMPERATURE menu you may change he solar empera ure limi se ing by pressing
he Up/Down bu ons, if no change is required simply push Enter and you will hen be aken o he AUX
LIMIT se ing. (Fac ory defaul is for SOL LIMIT is 30°C.)

No e: If hea demand is urned off, aux limi will no be shown.
You may change he auxiliary hea er empera ure limi se ing by pressing he Up/Down bu ons, if no
change is required simply push Enter. (Fac ory defaul is for AUX LIMIT is 25°C.)
NOTE: For maximum efficiency i is advisable ha he solar limi (SOL LIMIT) be se higher han he
auxiliary limi (AUX LIMIT)

When you en er he HEAT DEMAND you will need o selec ON or OFF, he selec ed op ion will be flashing,
you can use Up/Down o change he selec ed op ion, Enter o accep .
If OFF is selec ed you will re urn o he menu, If ON is selec ed you will be promp ed for START and END
ime, modify values by using he Up/Down bu ons, use Enter o accep he values. Fac ory defaul is ‘hea
demand off’

Se s he sampling period once he pool has reached he auxiliary or solar empera ure limi , op ions are 15
min, 30 min, 1 hour, 2 hours. Once he pool reaches he aux or solar empera ure limi he pump is urned
off i will no be urned on un il he sample period expires*, he pump will hen run for a minimum period
of 3 mins so ha wa er can flow pas he pool empera ure sensor and ob ain an accura e reading. Should
hea ing be required he pump will remain on o hea he pool.
*The sampling period may end if solar gain becomes available, for his o occur he roof mus be grea er
han 40°C and he las pool empera ure (when he pump was running) is under he solar limi .
GAS HEATER USED?
YES/NO
Se ing his op ion o YES will urn off he hea er before he valve is moved o he roof, auxiliary hea ing
will hen resume un il solar gain is high or un il aux limi is reached. For PARALLEL ins alla ion he hea er
remains off while wa er is diver ed o he solar collec or (See HEATER CONFIG.)
HEATER CONFIG.
PARALLEL WTH SOL/INLINE WTH SOLAR
This se ing depends on he ins alla ion, if he valve diver s all wa er flow o he roof hen selec PARALLEL
WTH SOL, if he wa er re urn pa h from he solar collec or re urns o he hea er hen choose INLINE WTH
SOLAR.
Fac ory defaul for HEAT DEMAND is OFF (06:00 o 22:00, sample @ 1 hour) GAS HEATER = ON, HEATER
SETUP = PARALLEL WTH SOL

MODE
NORMAL MODE/WINTER MODE/TROPICAL MODE
You can use Up/Down o change he selec ed op ion, Enter o accep .
NORMAL MODE is he normal opera ion of hea ing he swimming pool.
TROPICAL MODE is selec ed if you wish o cool he swimming pool, he solar pump will run if he roof
empera ure is colder han he pool un il SOL LIMIT is ob ained; no e ha his is mos likely o occur a
nigh . There is also a fea ure ha re-hea s he pool if he empera ure drops 1°C below he SOL LIMIT.
Once ropical mode is ac iva ed he hea demand will be au oma ically urned off which also preven s he
AUX LIMIT being displayed under he empera ure menu.
WINTER MODE, when selec ed you will be promp ed o selec he s ar mon h and end mon h of win er
(inclusive), his assis s in he sys ems off-season main enance and save energy as solar gain may be
available bu swimming empera ure canno be achieved. If hea demand is se o OFF a 3 minu e flush of
he solar ma ing occurs be ween 10:00 and 16:00 providing he roof empera ure is equal or grea er han
he pool, bu if ha condi ion does no occur a solar sys em flush will be forced o occur a 16:00.
If hea demand is ON he sys em opera es similar o normal mode bu he solar valve ac ivi y is moni ored
and will force a 3 minu e flush if solar has no been ac ive for seven days.
5) CLOCK
When you en er he CLOCK menu you will be promp ed o se he calendar & ime.
Adjus values by pressing he Up/Down bu ons, o accep he se ing press he Enter bu on, repea un il
all values are correc .
6) SAVE & EXIT
When his menu is selec ed, push Enter o save ALL se ings, he uni will re urn o normal opera ion
au oma ically.
No e: If any of he menu i ems are lef una ended for 3-4 mins he menu will ime ou and au oma ically
save all se ings and re urn o opera ion.

FOR MANUAL MODE
PRESS ENTER NOW
Pressing he Enter bu on once will display he above message for ~3 seconds, simply wai and he uni
will re urn o normal opera ion.
If you Enter is pressed for a second ime wi hin a 3 second period, he display will indica e you have
en ered Manual mode, opera ion is he same as manual mode in he menu wi h he only difference being
he imeou value is 4 Hours.
NOTES.
1. If a sensor faul is de ec ed he H7 will display which sensor and wha he faul is.
2. Should power be in errup ed for any reason, he H7 will resume normal opera ion when power is
res ored, all informa ion will have been kep .
3. Tempera ure sensors used wi h his uni are Digi al and are accura e o 0.5 Deg. C, no calibra ion is
required.
4. The sensor cable wi h he hin race is he posi ive and is usually fi ed o he righ hand side of he
green plug, incorrec polari y will be displayed.
5. If Auxiliary hea er in erlock swi ching is used he maximum load is 5A a 32VAC max.

IHD – In House Display (op ional)
The In House Display will display he roof and pool empera ures for 5 seconds, i hen displays he solar
and auxiliary limi s for 5 seconds, empera ures o he display are upda ed every 30 seconds.
You can change he empera ure limi se ings via a menu sys em.
Pushing he up/down bu on once will ac iva e he backligh for ~30 seconds, pushing he up/down bu on
again wi hin 3 seconds will hen ac iva e he se ings menu shown below.

Menu opera ion is he same as for he H7 described above.
No e ha you can se he empera ure o OFF via he IHD, be aware ha if hea demand is on a he H7
he pump will s ill sample a he se in ervals.
Also se ing he solar limi o OFF is no recommended, Win er mode is a be er op ion.
If IHD shows ‘WAITING FOR UPDATE’ i can be for several reasons, he H7 menu is being accessed or is in
manual mode or if empera ure limi changes do no ge sen back o he H7 or if empera ure readings do
no ge upda ed hen check he wiring back o he H7.
To force a empera ure upda e, you can ge he IHD o re rieve empera ures by pushing ‘Selec ’ once,
no e ha if he pump is off only he las recorded pool empera ure will be displayed, due o he sensor
being in a pipe wi hou flow.
Installation:
There is a s icker near he connec ors ha describe each connec ion.
The hea er is connec ed o he NO & C con ac s of RELAY1 socke .
The valve is connec ed o he VALVE socke ; wire colours are included in he label.
The IHD connec s o he DATA socke ; colours are o ma ch as marked on he IHD circui board, incorrec
wiring will damage he IHD. DO NOT CONNECT THE IHD WHILE POWER IS ON!
Pool sensor and roof sensors are pre-wired and simply connec s raigh in as labelled.
