Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
❐Dieses Gerät ist zum Braten und Grillen von Lebensmitteln sowie zum Pizza-Backen be-
stimmt.
❐Das Gerät ist für den Privatgebrauch, nicht für eine gewerbliche Nutzung geeignet.
❐Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren sowie von Personen mit reduzierten physi-
schen, sensorischen oder mentalen Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an Erfahrung und/oder Wis-
sen benutzt werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt oder bezüglich des sicheren Gebrauchs des
Gerätes unterwiesen wurden und die daraus resultierenden Gefahren verstanden haben.
Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät spielen. Reinigung und Benutzer-Wartung dürfen nicht
durch Kinder durchgeführt werden, es sei denn, sie sind älter als 8 Jahre und werden be-
aufsichtigt.
❐Kinder jünger als 8 Jahre und Tiere sind vom Gerät, dem Netzkabel und Stecker fernzu-
halten.
❐Nutzen Sie das Gerät nur zum angegebenen Zweck und wie in der Anleitung beschrieben.
Jede weitere Verwendung gilt als bestimmungswidrig. Falsche Bedienung und unsachge-
mäße Behandlung können zu Störungen am Gerät und zu Verletzungen des Benutzers
führen.

❐Achtung Erstickungs- und Verletzungsgefahr! Halten Sie das Verpackungsmaterial und das
Gerät von Kindern und Tieren fern. Das Gerät ist kein Spielzeug!
❐Achtung Verbrennungsgefahr! Das Gerät wird während des Gebrauchs heiß. Achten Sie
unbedingt darauf, dass Sie während und nach der Benutzung des Gerätes nicht mit aufge-
heizten Teilen in Berührung kommen. Verwenden Sie Topflappen oder Küchenhandschuhe
im Umgang mit dem Gerät. Reinigen, transportieren und verstauen Sie das Gerät nur,
wenn es vollständig abgekühlt ist.
❐Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn es beschädigt ist.
Für Ihre Gesundheit
❐Gerät vor dem ersten Gebrauch reinigen. Es kann mit möglichen Produktionsrückständen
behaftet sein. Beachten Sie hierbei unbedingt die Hinweise im Kapitel „Vor dem ersten
Gebrauch“.
❐Verwenden Sie keine verdorbenen Lebensmittel. Bewahren Sie Lebensmittel niemals länger
auf, als es das Mindesthaltbarkeitsdatum vorsieht.
❐Reinigen Sie das Gerät nach jedem Gebrauch, um Keimbildung vorzubeugen (siehe Kapitel
„Reinigung und Aufbewahrung“).
Aufstellen und Anschließen
❐Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur in geschlossenen Räumen.

❐Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von Wasser oder anderen Flüssigkeiten, um
Stromschläge zu vermeiden.
❐Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn entzündliche Gase in der Luft vorhanden sind.
❐Stellen Sie das Gerät immer auf einen trockenen, ebenen, festen und hitzeunempfindlichen
Untergrund und in ausreichendem Abstand zu brennbaren Gegenständen.
❐Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht unmittelbar unter einem Hängeschrank oder Regal auf. Achten Sie
darauf, dass genügend Freiraum um das Gerät vorhanden ist, um Wärmestaus zu vermeiden.
❐Halten Sie ausreichend Abstand zu Wärmequellen wie z.B. Herdplatten oder Öfen, um Ge-
räteschäden zu vermeiden.
❐Wickeln Sie das Netzkabel vor dem Anschließen des Gerätes vollständig auseinander.
❐Schließen Sie das Gerät nur an eine vorschriftsmäßig installierte Steckdose mit Schutzkon-
takten an. Die Steckdose muss auch nach dem Anschließen gut zugänglich sein. Die Netz-
spannung muss mit den technischen Daten des Gerätes übereinstimmen. Verwenden Sie
nur ordnungsgemäße Verlängerungskabel, deren technische Daten mit denen des Gerätes
übereinstimmen.
❐Achten Sie darauf, dass das angeschlossene Netzkabel keine Stolpergefahr darstellt. Lassen
Sie es nicht über den Rand von Tischen oder Küchentheken hängen. Es könnte jemand hän-
gen bleiben und das Gerät herunterziehen.
❐Verlegen Sie das Netzkabel so, dass es nicht gequetscht oder geknickt wird und nicht mit
heißen Flächen (auch des Gerätes) in Berührung kommt.
❐Ziehen oder tragen Sie das Gerät nicht am Netzkabel.
Hinweise zum Gebrauch
❐Überprüfen Sie das Gerät vor jeder Inbetriebnahme auf Beschädigungen. Wenn das Gerät,
das Netzkabel oder der Stecker sichtbare Schäden aufweisen, darf das Gerät nicht benutzt
werden. Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn es eine Fehlfunktion hatte, heruntergefallen
oder ins Wasser gefallen ist.
❐Sollte das Gerät defekt sein, versuchen Sie nicht, das Gerät eigenständig zu reparieren. Kon-
taktieren Sie in Schadensfällen den Kundenservice.
❐Schalten Sie das Gerät aus und ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose,
– wenn Sie das Gerät nicht verwenden,
– wenn während des Betriebes ein Fehler auftritt,
– vor einem Gewitter,
– bevor Sie es reinigen.
❐Wenn Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose ziehen möchten, ziehen Sie immer am Stecker
und nie am Kabel.
❐Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten ein! Stellen Sie sicher,
dass das Gerät, Kabel oder Stecker nicht ins Wasser fallen oder nass werden können. Sollte
das Gerät ins Wasser fallen, unterbrechen Sie sofort die Stromzufuhr. Versuchen Sie nicht,
das Gerät aus dem Wasser zu ziehen!
❐Berühren Sie das Gerät, das Netzkabel oder den Stecker niemals mit feuchten Händen.
❐Lassen Sie das Gerät nicht ohne Aufsicht eingeschaltet.
❐Benutzen Sie nur Originalteile des Herstellers.
❐Lassen Sie das Gerät nicht fallen und setzen Sie es keinen starken Stößen aus.

❐Legen Sie Nahrungsmittel nicht in Frischhaltefolie oder in Plastikbeutel verpackt auf die
Grillplatte bzw. das Pizzablech.
❐Spritzen Sie niemals kaltes Wasser während oder direkt nach dem Gebrauch des Gerätes auf
die heiße Grillfläche. Dies könnte die Keramikbeschichtung beschädigen!
❐Lassen Sie das Gerät immer vollständig auskühlen, bevor Sie es verstauen.
❐Legen Sie keine brennbaren Materialien, wie z.B. Pappe, Kunststoff, Papier oder Kerzen, auf
das Gerät.
Gewährleistungsbestimmungen
Von der Gewährleistung ausgeschlossen sind alle Mängel, die durch unsachgemäße Behandlung,
Beschädigung oder Reparaturversuche entstehen. Dies gilt auch für den normalen Verschleiß.

Vor dem ersten Gebrauch
ACHTUNG!
❐Halten Sie Kinder und Tiere vom Verpackungsmaterial fern. Es besteht u.a. Erstickungs-
gefahr!
❐Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen keine ätzenden oder scheuernden Reinigungsmittel. Diese
können das Gerät beschädigen.
1. Nehmen Sie das Gerät aus der Verpackung und entfernen Sie alle eventuell vorhandenen
Folien und Aufkleber.
2. Überprüfen Sie das Gerät auf Transportschäden. Falls es Schäden aufweisen sollte, ver-
wenden Sie es nicht(!), sondern kontaktieren Sie unseren Kundenservice.
3. Spülen Sie die Grillplatte (1) sowie das Pizzablech (6) mit warmem Wasser und mildem
Spülmittel ab und trocknen Sie danach beide Teile gründlich.
4. Die erste Inbetriebnahme sollten Sie ohne Nahrungsmittel vornehmen, da es aufgrund
eventueller Beschichtungsrückstände zu einer geringen Geruchs- oder Rauchentwicklung
kommen könnte. Lassen Sie das Gerät ca. 15 Minuten leer aufheizen (siehe Kapitel
„Benutzung“). Sorgen Sie dabei für einen gut durchlüfteten Raum, z.B. über weit geöffnete
Fenster!
Benutzung
ACHTUNG!
❐Verbrennungsgefahr! Das Gerät wird während des Gebrauchs heiß. Achten Sie unbedingt
darauf, dass Sie während und nach der Benutzung des Gerätes nicht mit aufgeheizten
Teilen in Berührung kommen. Verwenden Sie Topflappen oder Küchenhandschuhe im Um-
gang mit dem Gerät.
❐Sorgen Sie für ausreichende Belüftung während das Gerät in Betrieb ist.
❐Verwenden Sie ausschließlich hitzebeständige Utensilien zum Auflegen und Entnehmen der
Lebensmittel. Halten Sie Metallgegenstände oder sonstige scharfkantige Gegenstände vom
Gerät fern. Diese könnten die Beschichtung der Grillplatte bzw. des Pizzablechs beschädi-
gen.
❐Achten Sie darauf, dass die Pizza bzw. die Lebensmittel, die Sie auf das Pizzablech legen,
nicht das obere Heizelement des Gerätes berühren.
Bitte haben Sie Verständnis, dass zu Garzeiten und Gartemperaturen keine genauen
Angaben gemacht werden können, da Garzeiten und Gartemperaturen sehr stark
von Größe, Qualität und Beschaffenheit des jeweiligen Lebensmittels abhängen.
1. Bereiten Sie die Lebensmittel, die Sie grillen, braten oder backen möchten, vor.
2. Stellen Sie das Gerät auf eine trockene und hitzebeständige, ebene Fläche in ausreichen-
dem Abstand von anderen Gegenständen bzw. von der Wand auf. Achten Sie darauf,
dass das Gerät für Kinder unzugänglich ist!

3. Legen Sie die Grillplatte auf die Halterungen oberhalb des oberen Heizelementes. Sie muss
in den Halterungen einrasten.
4. Schieben Sie das Pizzablech in das Fach unterhalb der Grill-
platte (zwischen das obere und untere Heizelement). Achten
Sie darauf, es richtig herum einzulegen. Es muss sich ganz un-
ter die Grillplatte einschieben lassen und darf nicht an der
Frontseite überstehen.
5. Wickeln Sie das Netzkabel vollständig auseinander.
6. Überprüfen Sie, ob der Ein-/Ausschalter (4) auf Position OFF
steht.
7. Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in eine vorschriftsmäßig installierte und geerdete Steckdose
(220-240 V~) mit Schutzkontakten. Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Kabel keinen Kon-
takt mit der Grillplatte bzw. mit den Metallteilen des Gerätes hat!
Grillen
Auf der Grillplatte können Sie mit sehr wenig bzw. ohne Speiseöl Fleisch, Fisch, Gemüse oder
Meeresfrüchte grillen. Sie können sowohl marinierte als auch unmarinierte Lebensmittel auf
diese Art und Weise zubereiten.
Außerdem lassen sich auf der Grillplatte herrvoragend Pfannkuchen, Pancakes oder Crêpes
backen.
Speiseöl ist ein Geschmacksträger und unterstützt die Antihaftwirkung der Kera-
mikoberfläche. Bei Bedarf reiben Sie die Grillplatte vor dem Aufheizen mit etwas
Speiseöl ein. Speiseöl ist jedoch nicht zwingend notwendig.
8. Drehen Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter auf Position I.
9. Drehen Sie den Temperaturregler (3) auf eine mittlere Temperaturstufe und lassen Sie das
Gerät kurz aufheizen.
10. Legen Sie die Lebensmittel auf die Grillplatte. Passen Sie die Temperatureinstellung ggf. an.
(Auf höchster Temperaturstufe erreicht die Grillplatte ca. 180 °C.)
11. Wenden Sie die Lebensmittel, lassen Sie sie von der anderen Seite grillen und entnehmen
Sie dann die Lebensmittel.
12. Drehen Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter in Position OFF.
13. Lassen Sie die Grillplatte vollständig abkühlen, bevor Sie sie reinigen (siehe Kapitel „Reini-
gung und Aufbewahrung“.)
Pizza backen
8. Drehen Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter auf Position II.
9. Drehen Sie den Temperaturregler (3) auf die höchste Stufe (ca. 200 °C) und lassen Sie das
Gerät kurz aufheizen.
10. Ziehen Sie das Pizzablech aus dem Gerät, legen Sie vorsichtig eine Pizza darauf und schie-
ben Sie das Blech wieder in das Gerät. Überprüfen Sie nach einigen Minuten, ob die Pizza
gar ist bzw. ob sie nicht zu braun wird und verringern Sie im letzteren Fall dieTemperatur.
11. Ist die Pizza gar, drehen Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter in Position OFF.
12. Ziehen Sie das Pizzablech aus dem Gerät ganz heraus, schieben Sie die Pizza auf einen Teller
und legen Sie das Blech zum Abkühlen auf eine hitzebeständige Unterlage.
13. Reinigen Sie das Pizzablech (siehe Kapitel „Reinigung und Aufbewahrung“.)

Reinigung und Aufbewahrung
ACHTUNG!
❐Verbrennungsgefahr durch heiße Geräteteile! Lassen Sie das Gerät und Zubehör vor
jeder Reinigung auskühlen.
❐Lebensgefahr durch Stromschlag! Ziehen Sie vor jeder Reinigung den Netzstecker aus
der Steckdose. Tauchen Sie das Gerät, das Netzkabel und den Stecker niemals in Wasser.
Geben Sie das Gerät und Zubehör niemals in die Spülmaschine.
❐Sprühen Sie keine Reinigungsmittel direkt auf das Gerät. Verwenden Sie keine Glasreiniger.
❐Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen keine ätzenden oder scheuernden Reinigungsmittel, rauhe
Schwämme oder Messer. Diese können die Oberfläche beschädigen.
• Entfernen Sie nach jedem Gebrauch alle Speisereste von der Grillplatte bzw. vom Pizzablech.
Spülen Sie die Platte/das Blech anschließend mit einem Spülmittel und warmem Wasser ab.
• Bei Bedarf reinigen Sie das Gerätegehäuse und die Heizelemente mit einem feuchten Tuch/
Schwamm und wischen Sie anschließend trocken nach.
• Wenn das Krümelblech verschmutzt ist, ziehen Sie es hinten aus dem Gerät heraus. Entfernen
Sie eventuelle Speisereste und reinigen Sie es mit einem Spülmittel und warmem Wasser.
• Lassen Sie alle Teile vollständig trocknen, bevor Sie sie wieder in das Gerät einsetzen.
• Verstauen Sie das Gerät außer Reichweite von Kindern und Tieren. Bewahren Sie es an
einem trockenen, frostfreien und vor der Sonne geschützten Ort auf.
Fehlerbehebung
Sollte das Gerät nicht ordnungsgemäß funktionieren, überprüfen Sie bitte zunächst, ob Sie ein
Problem selbst beheben können. Kontaktieren Sie ansonsten den Kundenservice. Versuchen
Sie nicht, ein defektes Gerät eigenständig zu reparieren!
Problem mögliche Ursache /Lösung
Das Gerät funktioniert
nicht. Die Kontrollleuchte
leuchtet nicht.
• Steckt der Netzstecker richtig in der Steckdose?
• Ist die Steckdose defekt? Probieren Sie eine andere Steck-
dose.
• Überprüfen Sie die Sicherung Ihres Netzanschlusses.
Das Gerät wird nicht warm. • Ist der Ein-/Ausschalter in Position OFF (aus)?
• Befindet sich der Temperaturregler auf Position MIN?
Geruchs- oder
Rauchentwicklung
• Bei der ersten Inbetriebnahme: Auf Grund eventueller
Beschichtungsrückstände kann es zu einer geringen Ge-
ruchs- oder Rauchentwicklung kommen. Dies ist normal.
Lassen Sie das Gerät ca. 15 Minuten aufheizen (siehe Kapi-
tel „Benutzung“). Sorgen Sie dabei für einen gut durchlüf-
teten Raum, z.B. über weit geöffnete Fenster!
• Das Gerät wurde bereits benutzt: Ist das Krümelblech bzw.
sind die Heizelemente verschmutzt? Befolgen Sie die An-
weisungen des Kapitels „Reinigung und Aufbewahrung“.

Safety Instructions
Intended Use
❐This device is intended to be used for frying and grilling food and for baking pizza.
❐This device is for personal use only and is not intended for commercial applications.
❐This device may be used by children aged 8 and over and by people with reduced physical,
sensory or mental abilities or a lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised or
have received instruction on how to use the device safely and have understood the dangers
resulting from this.Children may not play with the device.Cleaning and user maintenance may
not be performed by children, unless they are older than 8 years of age and are supervised.
❐Children younger than 8 years of age and animals must be kept away from the device, the
mains cable and the plug.
❐Use the device only for the intended purpose and as described in the instructions.Any other
use is deemed to be improper. Incorrect operation and incorrect handling may cause faults
with the device and cause injury to the user.
❐The device is not designed to be operated with an external timer or a separate remote
control system.
Dangers of Injury

❐The device should be cleaned before you use it for the first time. It is possible that produc-
tion residues may still be adhering to the surfaces. It is essential that you follow the instruc-
tions in the "Before Initial Use" chapter.
❐Do not use spoilt food. Never keep food longer than the best-before date.
❐Clean the device after each use to prevent germ formation (see the "Cleaning and Storage"
chapter).
Set-Up and Connection
❐Use the device only in closed rooms.
❐In order to avoid electric shocks, do not use the device near water or other liquids.
❐Do not use the device if highly flammable gases are present in the air.
❐Always place the device on a dry, level, firm and heat-resistant surface and at a sufficient
distance from flammable objects.

❐Do not place the device directly beneath a wall-mounted cupboard or shelf. Make sure that
there is plenty of free space around the device to avoid any build-up of heat.
❐Maintain a sufficient distance from heat sources such as hobs or ovens in order not to dam-
age the device.
❐Unwind the mains cable fully before connecting up the device.
❐The device should only be connected to a properly installed plug socket with safety contacts.
The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection. The mains voltage must
match the technical data of the device. Only use suitable extension cables whose technical
data is the same as that of the device.
❐Make sure that the connected mains cable does not present a trip hazard. Do not allow it to
hang over the edge of tables or kitchen counters. Others may become caught and pull the
device down.
❐Lay the mains cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and does not
come into contact with hot surfaces (also of the device).
❐Do not pull or carry the device by the mains cable.
Instructions for Use
❐Always check the device for damage before putting it into operation. If the device, the mains
cable or the plug shows visible signs of damage, the device must not be used. Do not use the
device if it has malfunctioned or been dropped in water.
❐If the device is broken, do not attempt to repair it yourself. In the event of any damage, con-
tact our customer service department.
❐Switch the device off and pull the mains plug out of the mains socket
– when the device is not in use,
– if a fault occurs while the device is in operation,
– before a thunderstorm,
– before you clean it.
❐When you want to remove the mains plug from the socket, always pull the plug and never
the cable.
❐Never immerse the device in water or other liquids! Ensure that the device, cable and plug
do not fall into water or become wet. Should the device fall into water, switch off the power
supply immediately. Do not try to retrieve the device from the water!
❐Never touch the device, the mains cable or the plug with wet hands.
❐Do not leave the device switched on when it is unattended.
❐Use only original parts from the manufacturer.
❐Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.
❐Do not place food that is still wrapped in cling film or packed in plastic bags onto the grill
plate or the pizza pan.
❐Never spray cold water onto the hot grill surface while or immediately after using the device.
This could damage the ceramic coating!
❐Always allow the device to cool down completely before putting it away.
❐Do not place any combustible materials, such as cardboard, plastic, paper or candles, on the
device.

Before Initial Use
CAUTION!
❐Keep children and animals away from the packaging material.There is a danger of suffocation!
❐Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the device.These may damage
the device.
1. Take the device out of the packaging and remove all films and stickers that may be present.
2. Inspect the device for transport damage. If you notice any damage, do not use it(!), but con-
tact our customer service department.
3. Rinse the grill plate (1) and the pizza pan (6) with warm water and mild detergent and then
dry both parts thoroughly.
4. You should perform the initial start-up without any food since odours or smoke may develop
due to coating residues that may still be present.Allow the device to heat up while empty
for approx. 15 minutes (see the "Use" chapter). During this time, make sure the room is well
ventilated, e.g. with wide-open windows!
Use
CAUTION!
❐Danger of burns! The device will become hot during use. Make absolutely sure that you do

❐Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation while the device is in operation.
❐Only use heat-resistant utensils to place and remove the food. Keep metal objects or other
sharp objects away from the device.These could damage the coating of the grill plate or the
pizza pan.
❐Make sure that the pizza or the food which you place on the pizza pan do not touch the top
heating element of the device.
Please appreciate that no precise specifications can be given for cooking times and
cooking temperatures as cooking times and cooking temperatures depend very greatly
on the size, quality and texture of the particular food.
1. Prepare the food that you want to grill, fry or bake.
2. Place the device on a dry,heat-resistant,flat surface at a sufficient distance from other objects
and from the wall. Make sure that the device is out of the reach of children!
3. Place the grill plate on the mounts above the top heating element. It must engage in the
mounts.

4. Slide the pizza pan into the compartment below the grill plate
(between the top and bottom heating element). Make sure you
insert it the right way round. It must be possible to slide it fully
under the grill plate and it must not stick out at the front.
5. Fully unwind the mains cable.
6. Check whether the On/Off switch (4) is in the OFF position.
7. Plug the mains plug into a properly installed and earthed plug socket (220-240V~) with safety
contacts.Make sure that the cable is not in contact with the grill plate or the metal
parts of the device!
Grilling
On the grill plate, you can grill meat,fish, vegetables or seafood using very little or no cooking oil.
This method can be used to prepare both marinated and unmarinated foods.
Using the grill plate is also a great way to bake pancakes or crêpes.
Cooking oil is a flavour carrier and supports the non-stick effect of the ceramic surface.
If necessary, rub a little cooking oil onto the grill plate before you heat it up. However,
cooking oil is not absolutely essential.
8. Turn the On/Off switch to the Iposition.
9. Turn the temperature controller (3) to an average temperature setting and allow the device
to heat up for a short time.
10. Place the food onto the grill plate.Adjust the temperature setting if necessary. (On the high-
est temperature setting, the grill plate gets to approx. 180°C.)
11. Turn the food over, let it grill on the other side and then remove the food.
12. Turn the On/Off switch to the OFF position.
13. Allow the grill plate to cool down completely before you clean it (see the "Cleaning and
Storage" chapter).
Baking Pizza
8. Turn the On/Off switch to the II position.
9. Turn the temperature controller (3) to the highest setting (approx. 200°C) and allow the
device to heat up for a short time.
10. Pull the pizza pan out of the device, carefully place a pizza on it and then slide the pan back
into the device.After a few minutes, check whether the pizza is cooked and whether it is too
brown and, if the latter is the case, reduce the temperature.
11. If the pizza is cooked, turn the On/Off switch to the OFF position.
12. Fully remove the pizza pan from the device, slide the pizza onto a plate and place the pan on
a heat-resistant surface to cool down.
13. Clean the pizza pan (see the "Cleaning and Storage" chapter).

Cleaning and Storage
CAUTION!
❐Danger of burns from hot device parts! Allow the device and the accessories to cool
down before any cleaning.
❐Danger to life from electric shock! Remove the mains plug from the plug socket before
doing any cleaning. Never immerse the device, the mains cable or plug in water. Never put
the device and its component parts in the dishwasher.
❐Do not spray cleaning agents directly onto the device. Do not use any glass cleaners.
❐Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents, rough sponges or knives to clean the de-
vice.These can damage the surface.
• Remove all food residues from the grill plate or pizza pan after each use.Then rinse the plate/
pan with detergent and warm water.
• If necessary, clean the device housing and the heating elements with a damp cloth/sponge and
then wipe down the surfaces so that they are dry.
• If the crumb collection tray is full, pull it out of the back of the device. Remove any food
residues and clean it with a detergent and warm water.
• Allow all parts to dry completely before you insert them back into the device.
• Store the device out of the reach of children and animals. Keep it in a dry, frost-free place
which is protected from direct sunlight.
Troubleshooting
If the device is not working properly, please check first of all whether you are able to rectify a
problem yourself. Otherwise you should contact the customer service department. Do not at-
tempt to repair a defective device yourself!

• Is the plug socket defective? Try another plug socket.
• Check the fuse of your mains connection.

Development of odours or
smoke
• When the device is first used:Any coating residues that may
remain may result in a small amount of odour or smoke
development.This is normal.Allow the device to heat up for
about 15 minutes (see the "Use" chapter). During this time,
make sure the room is well ventilated, e.g. with wide-open
windows!
• The device has already been used: Is the crumb collection
tray full or are the heating elements dirty? Follow the in-
structions in the "Cleaning and Storage" chapter.
