1. Safety
Paragliding i a potentially hazardou port. When flying a paraglider you have to accept ri k of injury and/or even death.
Incompetent or improper u e of the harne may increa e tho e ri k . In ca e of any doubt plea e a k your dealer or manufacturer.

2. De cription
The GroundMa ter harne wa de igned and dedicated for the groundhandling e ion by both PG and PPG pilot . The main goal of
thi project wa creation of a light and comfortable harne , which will make training of inflating and groundhandling the canopy
more plea ant and effective. Adju table u pen ion point of the canopy enable imulation of launching with high- u pen ion
paramotor. Wide range of the adju tment make ure that the harne will fit any pilot. The back pocket will ea ily hold the
tran port bag and other equipment piece . On opening it, two handle are available to a i t the trainee in ca e of tronger wind .

The GroundMaster harness is dedicated only for the groundhandling e ercises. It is neither designed nor allowed for flying. It should
be used on flat ground only. It is not to be used for training on the slopes. It must not be used at too strong or turbulent winds.

3. Harne trap adju tment

Watch out for symmetry – left and right side should be adjusted the same.

3.1 Shoulder trap
Thank to adju table houlder trap (1) the Groundma ter can accommodate pilot of almo t any height. Too hort trap will make
tanding upright difficult and can limit your movement during training.
3.2 Side trap
Can be adju ted to fit any pilot’ tor o. Make ure to leave min. 5 cm pace between the trap and the body.
3.3 Leg trap
The leg trap are the mo t important afeguard again t falling out of the harne . Their adju tment mu t allow for ea y running
during exerci e . Too hort trap can make you uncomfortable and re train your run. Too long trap will allow the harne to be
dragged up when the canopy i inflated.
3.4 Che t trap
Che t trap (4) govern the di tance between carabiner . If the paraglider’ manual
doe not indicate otherwi e, recommended width i 42-48 cm.

3.5 Shoulder trap connector
A clip on the houlder trap make ure they tay in place during ground training. Additionally, there i an alarm whi tle fixed to the
clip. You can u e it to ummon help in danger.
3.6 Connection point
Connection point (6) are there to accommodate the main carabiner . In the GroundMa ter harne tho e point can be hifted
vertically to adju t the harne for pecific need .
Free flying – carabiner in the lowe t po ition, ju t above the che t trap.
PPG flying – low hangpoint – carabiner ca. 10 cm above the che t trap.
PPG flying – high hangpoint – carabiner a high a comfortable for the trainee.

Remember to observe the symmetry. Both carabiners must be set at
the same distance from the chest strap. Asymmetrical setting will make
controlling the canopy much harder.

3.7 Back upport adju tment
The GroundMa ter harne i manufactured in a ingle univer al ize. Thi adju tment make it fit the height of any trainee.

4. Pocket
The GroundMa ter ha one mall pocket on the back. It can hold the tran port bag and other piece of equipment/clothing a
needed. There are two handle in ide that pocket. They are there to a i t the trainee in ca e of tronger wind .

5. Harne /paraglider connection
The GroundMa ter Harne i old without carabiner . Although mo t of the carabiner will do, the be t fitting are the narrow ri er
carabiner (25 mm). We recommend the Edelrid 23 kN carabiner . They hould be placed in the harne a on the picture below.

Before starting your training check if the carabiners are closed and locked against accidental opening.

6. Before u e
Before each training e ion a thorough check of the harne i nece ary. For your own afety make ure that:
- the harne i not damaged in any way
- leg and che t trap are clo ed
- houlder and ide trap remain correctly adju ted
- main carabiner are clo ed and locked, without any damage
7. Cleaning and torage
All material for the harne were carefully elected, keeping their quality and durability in mind. With help of your care they will keep
your harne in good condition for a long time. The harne i be t cleaned with a wet ponge, po ibly a bit of oap. Do not u e
neither detergent nor olvent . If there i a lot of mud, fir t u e a bru h before wet cleaning.
If the harne happen to be oaked, dry it in a well aired place, away from direct un operation.
In ca e of a long-time torage keep the harne either in the backpack or loo e, in a well ventilated room, away from the un. For
longer period of inactivity we recommend toring the harne out of the backpack. Unfortunately ome di coloration of individual
harne part i unavoidable over time and thi i yet another rea on for not expo ing it to the un more than nece ary.
8. Operation and repair
Periodic control of the harne condition will keep it in afe operation for a long time. Aluminium carabiner hould be replaced each
5 year or 500 hour . Scratched or damaged carabiner are not erviceable anymore and have to be replaced at once.

contribute to environment pre ervation by following ome imple rule . Make ure you don’t harm the nature nature wherever we
can tay. Keep to marked path , do not behave loudly, do not litter, re pect the delicate balance of nature,
Recycling of used gear
A harne i made out of ynthetic material , which need to be properly utili ed when worn out. If you are unable to take care of right
di po al, DUDEK Paraglider will do that for you. Ju t end your harne to the addre given at the end of the manual, accompanied
by a hort note.
