Before you install this kit — Read and understand all
instructions, warnings, cautions, and notes contained in
this installation instruction guide. Consult your vehicle
owner’s manual for proper disconnection of electrical and
lifting of vehicle if required for installation of this product.
This install may require some technical skills and
knowledge of basic mechanical work. If you do not feel that
you are capable of performing this install please take this
product to a trained professional.

Proper installation of this kit required knowledge of the factory
recommended procedures for removal and installation of original
equipment components. We recommend that the factory shop manual
and any special tools needed to service your vehicle be on hand during
the installation. Installation of this kit without proper knowledge of the
factory recommended procedures may affect the performance of these
components and the safety of the vehicle

Inspect all contents of this package to make sure product is not damaged
and all installation hardware has been included. If parts are missing from
kit, please be prepared to provide the following information
1. Name of purchase location
2. Bar Code on side of box
3. Date above bar code
4. Date inside box cover

can install it by yourself however,
additional help is recommended.

STEP 1 | Peel back the paper from
the water-resistant lm and apply it to
the bottom of the mount with mounting
holes.
Place it carefully and evenly to avoid
creating bubbles.
If mounting a compressor, you will cut
through this at the mounting holes later.
Begin by unpacking all items and inspecting
for missing pieces or damage. If you have any
concerns, please contact the company the
product was purchased from. Extra hardware
may be included with the product.

STEP 2 | Peel back the paper from
the heat shield and install it on the
mount. The opening in the shield material
will go over the mounting holes on the
compressor side of the mount.
STEP 3 | Install drain caps to both
sides of the compressor mount.
You may choose to skip the drain cap on
the compressor side if you do not want
to press a hole out of the waterproof
membrane.

STEP 4 | Use a trim clip tool to
remove the plastic covers from the tie-
down hooks.
The number of tie-downs varies between
4-door models and 2-door models.
STEP 5 | Use a 10mm socket to
remove the hardware securing the factory
tie-downs to the vehicle.

STEP 6 | Lift and fold the carpet
forward to access the hardware securing
the factory storage box to the vehicle.
STEP 7 | Use a 10mm socket to
remove the hardware securing the factory
storage box to the vehicle.

STEP 8 | Use a 15mm deep socket to
loosen the clamp securing the mufer to
the exhaust tube.

STEP 9 | Remove the mufer from the
exhaust hangers.
One is located next to the hitch, and the
other is located between the mufer and
driverside rear tire.
These may require some force to remove.
Use WD-40 and a pry tool if necessary.

STEP 10 | Remove the mufer by
pulling it from the exhaust tube towards
the rear of the vehicle.
STEP 11 | Use a 10mm socket and
a trim clip tool to remove the factory
hardware and plastic clip retainers
securing the factory heat shield in place.
Then remove the factory heat shield.

STEP 12 | Use a 10mm socket to
install the mounting plate using the
factory hardware and mounting locations.
STEP 13 | Place the DV8 storage
box under the vehicle and lift it to the
mounting plate by reaching down through
the empty space in the cab.
Loosely secure the box to the mounting
plate using the provided M8 hardware.
NOTE: This step is easier with assistance.

STEP 14 | Secure the provided M8
hardware using a 5mm allen bit.
STEP 15 | If you are mounting a
compressor, do so at this time using the
hardware provided with the compressor.
Our compressor mount is designed for
single or twin tube ARB air compressors.
