The intended uses for this appliance are the reception
of FM / AM radio transmissions and as a wake/up
alarm, using signal tones or the radio itself. This ap-
pliance is intended for use only in domestic settings.
It is not suitable for use in commercial or industrial
areas.

Safety information
• This appliance is not intended for use by individuals
(including children) with restricted physical, physio-
logical or intellectual abilities or deficiences in
experience and/or knowledge unless they are
supervised by a person responsible for their safety
or receive from this person instruction in how the
appliance is to be used.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance..
• Keep batteries away from children. Children can
put batteries into their mouths and swallow them.

call for medical assistance IMMEDIATELY.
To avoid potentially fatal electric shocks:
• Connect the appliance only to correctly installed
and earthed mains sockets. Ensure that the rating
of the local power supply tallies completely with
the details given on the rating plate of the app-
liance.
• Ensure that the power cable never becomes wet
or damp during operation. Lay the cable such
that it cannot be trapped or otherwise damaged.
• Arrange for defective power plugs and/or cables
to be replaced at once by qualified technicians
or our Customer Service Department.
• Arrange for Customer Services to repair or replace
connecting cables and/or appliances that are
not functioning properly or have been damaged.

• Only use the appliance in dry rooms.
NEVER submerse the appliance in water.
Wipe it only with a slightly damp cloth.
• Ensure that liquids and miscellaneous objects are
never able to penetrate into the device.
• Do not place water-filled receptacles (e.g. flower
vases) on the appliance.
• Position the appliance close to an electrical wall-
socket. Ensure that the wall socket is easily acces-
sible
• To avoid the risks of tripping, do not use an ex-
tension cable. In the event of danger, the plug
must be quickly and easily accessible.
• You may not open or repair the appliance housing
yourself. Should you do so, the safety concept
of the appliance may be compromised and the
warranty becomes void. Repairs are to be carried
out exclusively by a specialist firm or the service
centre.
Notice regarding separation from
mains-power
The slider switch (ON/ OFF/ AUTO) on this ap-
pliance does not completely separate it from the
power network. Additionally, the appliance con-
sumes power when in standby-mode. To completely
separate the appliance from mains power, the
power plug MUST be removed from the wall
socket.
Risk of explosion!
• Do not throw batteries into a fire. Do not recharge
the batteries.
To avoid the risks of fire or injury:
• Do not place candles or other open fire sources
on the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance near hot surfaces.
• Do not keep the appliance in places that are ex-
posed to direct sunlight. If you do, it may overheat
and become irreparably damaged.
• To prevent heat build up, place the instrument
in a location with adequate ventilation.
• Never cover the ventilation openings!
• Avoid any additional heat build up, e.g. direct
sunlight, heaters, other devices, etc.
• Keep children away from the connecting cable
and the appliance. Children frequently under-
estimate the dangers of electrical appliances.
• Provide for a safe location for the appliance.
• Do not operate the appliance if it has sustained
a fall or is damaged. Arrange for the appliance
to be checked and/or repaired by qualified tech-
nicians.
Thunderstorm warning!
Before a storm and/or a thunderstorm with a
risk of lightning, please separate the appliance
from the electrical power source!
Electro-magnetic fields
This appliance complies with the statutory limits for
electro-magnetic compatibility! If you still have any
doubts regarding its use in bedrooms:
It is completely safe to install the clock at a distance
of half a meter away from the bed. From this distance
the fields are not present even for electro sensitive
people.
Note:
Check the battery for its state of charge annually,
and replace it if necessary.
Note:
This appliance is equipped with non-slip rubber
feet. As furniture surfaces may be made of a
variety of materials and are treated with many
different types of cleaning agents, it cannot be
completely ruled out that some substances contain
ingredients which may corrode the rubber rests
and soften them. If possible place an anti-slip
material under the feet of the appliance.

• Remove all transport restraints and adhesive
tape/films.
Attention!
Do not permit small children to play with the
plastic packaging. There is a risk of suffocation!

Inserting the batteries
Power-cut protection
With the insertion of a 9 V block battery (Typ 6LR61)
you can avoid interruptions in the functioning of the
appliance and that programmed data, for example
the time and alarm times, are lost due to a power
cut. The battery ensures that the appliance continues to
function in emergency operation during the power
cut. When power is restored, the correct time auto-
matically appears on the display w.
Take note:
The alarm, radio and display do not function
with battery-power.
• Open the battery compartment hon the under-
side and insert a 9 V block battery (Type
6LR61).
Interaction with batteries
Leaking batteries can cause damage to the
radio alarm.
• If you do not intend to use the appliance for
an extended period, remove the battery.
• Should the batteries leak, clean the battery
compartment with a dry cloth whilst wearing
protective gloves.
Take note:
Rechargable batteries cannot be charged via the
battery connection. In the event of an extended
power cut (several hours), the clock and alarm
times must be checked and possibly re-adjusted.

Assembly
Before operating the appliance, ensure that it is in
a serviceable condition.
If not, do not use it.
• Insert the plug into a power socket. Select a power
socket that is at all times easily accessible, so that
the plug can be quickly withdrawn in the event of
a malfunction.
Setting the clock
If you are setting the appliance up for the first time
after inserting a new battery:
Whilst holding the button TIME dpressed down:
• Press several times consecutively, or press and
hold, the button HOUR u, to set the hours.
• Release the button HOUR uas soon as the de-
sired hours setting is shown in the display w.
• Press several times consecutively, or press and
hold, the button MIN yto set the minutes.
• Release the button MIN yas soon as the des-
ired minute setting is shown in the display w.
The programmed time will be accepted automatically
as soon as the button TIME d is released.
Radio Reception
• Push the slider switch jinto the position.
• Turn the volume control kto a centre position.
• Select the radio band with the band switch
AM/FM g.
• Now select the desired transmitter through turning
the tuning knob f.
Note:
To improve reception in the FM frequency range,
hold the end of the wire aerial ein various di-
rections slowly. When you have found the best
reception for the desired transmitter, fix the wire
aerial into this position e.g. with adhesive tape.
For the reception of AM transmitters, the app-
liance has a built in aerial. For improved recep-
tion, alter the position of the appliance in radio
mode.
Adjusting Alarm-Timings
If the clock is set correctly, as described above:
Whilst holding the button AL SET sheld down:
• Press several times consecutively, or press and
hold, the button HOUR u, to set the hours.
• Release the button HOUR uas soon as the de-
sired hours setting is shown in the display w.
• Press several times consecutively, or press and
hold, the button MIN yto set the minutes.
• Release the button MIN yas soon as the de-
sired minute setting is shown in the display w.
The programmed alarm time will be accepted auto-
matically as soon as the button ALARM AL SET s
is released.

Switching the Alarm ON
If the clock and alarm time are set correctly, as de-
scribed above:
• Push the slider switch jinto the position AUTO.
The alarm is now switched on. For control pur-
poses, a small spot appears to the left in the dis-
play w.
You will be awakened by the radio
if ...
• the volume control kis set to a level high
enough to awaken you.

•The switch RADIO/BUZZER h is in the posi-
tion RADIO.
You will be awaked by the signal tone
if...
• the volume controller kis turned down so far
that it switches off with an audible click, i.e. it is
in the position BUZZER.

Switching the Alarm OFF
• Press the button SNOOZE oand the alarm
tone will be repeated after 9 minutes.
• Place the push switch jinto the position OFF
to switch the alarm function off completely .
• Place the push switch jback into the position
AUTO to activate the alarm function for the next
day.
• Press the button AL OFF ato switch the alarm
function off for 24 hours.
Sleep Timer
If you wish to listen to the radio for some time
before falling asleep and want the appliance
to switch itself off:
• Place the slider switch jinto the position OFF
or AUTO.
• Press the button SLEEP t. The radio will now
play for 59 minutes.
You can extend the time to switch off by...
• pressing and holding down the button SLEEP t
and, at the same time, pressing the button HOUR
uto extend the switch off time to 1 hour and
59 minutes.
You can reduce the time to switch off by ...
• pressing and holding down the button SLEEP t
and, at the same time, using the button MIN y
to reduce the remaining period.
• By pressing the button SNOOZE othe Sleep-
Timer is deactivated.
• On re-pressing the button SLEEP tthe switch-off
time will revert to 59 minutes.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Attention!
Risk of electric shock!
Before cleaning the appliance:
• Disconnect the power plug from the power
socket.
• NEVER open the housing of the appliance.
There are no user-serviceable elements inside.
• Clean the appliance only with a lightly moistened
cloth.
• Do not use detergents or solvents. They can
damage the plastic surfaces.

Disposal
Do not dispose of the appliance in your
normal domestic waste. This appliance
is subject to the European Guidelines
2002/96/EG.
Dispose of the appliance through an approved dis-
posal centre or at your community waste facility.
Observe the currently applicable regulations.
In case of doubt, please contact your waste dis-
posal centre.
Disposal of batteries/accumulators
Used batteries/accumulators may not be disposed
of in household waste. Every consumer is legally
obliged to dispose of batteries at a collection site
of his community / town district or at a retail store.
The purpose of this obligation is to ensure that batteries
are disposed of in a non-polluting manner. Only dis-
pose of batteries when they are fully discharged.
Dispose of the packaging materials in an
environmentally responsible manner.
Warranty & Service
The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from
the date of purchase. This appliance has been
manufactured with care and meticulously examined
before delivery. Please retain your receipt as proof
of purchase date. Should a claim need to be made
under the warranty, please make contact by tele-
phone with our service department. Only in this
way can a post-free despatch for your goods be as-
sured.
The warranty covers ONLY claims for material and
maufacturing defects, not for wearing or consuma-
ble or for damage to fragile components. This pro-
duct is for private use only and is not intended for
commercial applications.
The warranty will become void in the event of abusi-
ve and improper handling, use of force and internal
tampering not carried or approved by our authori-
zed service branch. Your statutory rights are not re-
stricted in any way by this warranty.

Älä koskaan upota laitetta veteen. Pyyhi
laite ainoastaan kevyesti kosteutetulla
liinalla.
• Huolehdi siitä, että laitteeseen ei koskaan pääse

Ohje verkosta irrottamiseen
Tämän laitteen liukukytkin (ON/ OFF/ AUTO) ei
irrota laitetta täysin sähköverkosta. Lisäksi laite
ottaa virtaa valmiustilassa. Irrota laite verkosta
kokonaan vetämällä verkkopistoke verkkopisto-
rasiasta.
Räjähdysvaara!
• Älä heitä paristoja tuleen. Älä lataa paristoja
uudelleen.
Palo- ja loukkaantumisvaarojen
välttämiseksi:
• Älä aseta kynttilöitä tai muita avotulen lähteitä
laitteen päälle.
• Älä käytä laitetta kuumien pintojen lähellä.
• Älä sijoita laitetta paikkaan, jossa se altistuu suo-
ralle auringonvalolle. Muutoin laite saattaa yli-
kuumentua ja vaurioitua käyttökelvottomaksi.

• Aseta radioherätyskello tasaiselle, vaakasuoralle
pinnalle.
Paristojen asettaminen
Virtakatkossuojaus
Asettamalla laitteeseen 9 V:n nepparipariston (tyyppi
6LR61) vältät mahdollisen sähkökatkoksen sattuessa
sen, että laitteen toiminta keskeytyy ja näin asetetut
tiedot, kuten kellonaika ja herätysaika, häviävät.
Pariston avulla radioherätyskello toimii edelleen myös
sähkökatkoksen aikana. Kun verkkovirta kytkeytyy
jälleen päälle, näytössä wnäkyy automaattisesti
oikea aika.
Ohje:
Herätyskello, radio ja näyttö eivät toimi paris-
tolla.
• Avaa pohjassa oleva paristokotelo hja aseta
sinne yksi 9 V:n neppariparisto (tyyppiä 6LR61).
Paristojen käsittely
Vuotavat paristot saattavat vaurioittaa radio-
herätyskelloa.
• Jos et käytä laitetta pidemmän aikaa, poista
paristo.
• Jos paristo on vuotanut, käytä suojakäsineitä
ja puhdista paristokotelo kuivalla liinalla.
Ohje:
Paristoliitännän kautta ei voi ladata paristoja.
Pidemmän sähkökatkoksen (useiden tuntien)
jälkeen tulee kellon- ja herätysaika tarkastaa
ja tarvittaessa asettaa uudelleen.

Liittäminen
Varmista ennen laitteen käyttöönottoa, että se on
moitteettomassa kunnossa.
Muuten sitä ei saa käyttää.
• Aseta sitten verkkopistoke pistorasiaan. Valitse
pistorasia, joka on aina käsillä, jotta pistoke
voitaisiin vikatapauksessa irrottaa nopeasti pisto-
rasiasta.
Kellonajan asettaminen
Kun otat laitteen uudelleen käyttöön pariston vaihdon
jälkeen:
Pidä painiketta TIME dpainettuna ja toimi seuraa-
vasti:
• Aseta tunnit painamalla painiketta HOUR u
useamman kerran peräkkäin tai pitämällä paini-
ketta painettuna.
• Vapauta painike HOUR uheti, kun haluttu
tuntinäyttö näkyy näytössä w.
• Aseta minuutit painamalla painiketta MIN y
useamman kerran peräkkäin tai pitämällä paini-
ketta painettuna.
• Vapauta painike MIN uheti, kun haluttu
minuuttinäyttö näkyy näytössä w.
Asetettu kellonaika otetaan automaattisesti käyttöön
heti, kun painike TIME d vapautetaan.
Radiovastaanotto
• Aseta työntökytkin jasentoon ON.
• Käännä äänenvoimakkuuden säädin kkeski-
asentoon.
• Valitse aaltoalue AM/FM-kytkimestä g.
• Säädä nyt haluamasi radioasema TUNING-
säädintä fkiertämällä.
Huomaa:
Voit parantaa radioasemien kuuluvuutta FM-
taajuusalueella suuntaamalla heittoantennin e
päätä hitaasti eri suuntiin. Kun lähetyksen kuulu-
vuus on hyvä, kiinnitä heittoantenni tähän asentoon
esimerkiksi liimanauhalla. KA-radioasemien vas-
taanottoa varten on laitteeseen asennettu kiinte-
ästi vastaanottoantenni. Voit parantaa lähetyksen
vastaanottotasoa siirtämällä radiota silloin, kun
radio on käytössä.
Herätysajan asettaminen
Jos kellonaika on säädetty edellä kuvatulla tavalla:
Pidä painiketta AL SET spainettuna ja toimi
seuraavasti:
• Aseta tunnit painamalla painiketta HOUR u
useamman kerran peräkkäin tai pitämällä paini-
ketta painettuna.
• Vapauta painike HOUR uheti, kun haluttu
tuntinäyttö näkyy näytössä w.
• Aseta minuutit painamalla painiketta MIN y
useamman kerran peräkkäin tai pitämällä paini-
ketta painettuna.
• Vapauta painike MIN uheti, kun haluttu minuut-
tinäyttö näkyy näytössä w.
Asetettu herätysaika otetaan automaattisesti käyttöön
heti, kun painike AL SET svapautetaan.

Herätyksen kytkeminen päälle
Jos kellonaika ja herätys on säädetty oikein edellä
kuvatulla tavalla:
• Aseta työntökytkin jasentoon AUTO. Herätys-
kello on nyt kytketty päälle. Vahvistukseksi ilmes-
tyy näyttöön wvasemmalle piste.
Radio herättää, kun...
• äänenvoimakkuus kon säädetty riittävän kovalle,
jotta siihen herää.
KH 2186:
•Kytkin RADIO/BUZZER h on asennossa
RADIO.
Hälytysääni herättää, kun...
• äänenvoimakkuuden säädin kon käännetty
niin alhaiseksi, että se kytkeytyy kuuluvasti pois
päältä, eli on asennossa BUZZER.
KH 2186:
•Kytkin RADIO/BUZZER hon asennossa
BUZZER.
Herätyksen katkaiseminen
• Paina SNOOZE-painiketta oja herätys toistetaan
9 minuutin kuluttua.
• Kytke herätystoiminto kokonaan pois päältä
asettamalla työntökytkin jasentoon OFF.
• Aktivoi herätystoiminto seuraavaksi päiväksi
asettamalla työntökytkin juudelleen asentoon
AUTO.
• Kytke herätystoiminto pois päältä 24 tunnin
ajaksi painamalla painiketta AL OFF a.
Nukahtamisajastin
Jos haluat kuunnella radiota ennen nukahta-
mistasi ja haluat laitteen sammuvan automaat-
tisesti:
• Aseta työntökytkin jasentoon OFF tai AUTO.
• Paina painiketta SLEEP t. Radio on nyt päällä
59 minuutin ajan.
Sammumisaikaa voidaan pidentää seuraavalla
tavalla:
• Pidä painiketta SLEEP tpainettuna ja lisää sam-
mutusaikaa 1 tuntiin ja 59 minuuttiin painamalla
samalla painiketta HOUR u.
Sammumisaikaa voidaan lyhentää seuraavalla
tavalla:
• Pidä painiketta SLEEP tpainettuna ja aseta
samanaikaisesti jäljellä oleva aika painikkeen
MIN yavulla.
• Nukahtamisajastin otetaan pois toiminnasta
painamalla SNOOZE opainiketta.
• Painikkeen SLEEP tuudella painalluksella
palautetaan sammutusaika 59 minuuttiin.
Puhdistus ja hoito
Huomio!
Sähköiskun vaara:
Ennen kuin puhdistat laitteen:
• Vedä ensin verkkopistoke irti pistorasiasta.
• Älä koskaan avaa laitteen koteloa. Sisällä
ei ole minkäänlaisia hallintalaitteita.
• Puhdista laite pelkällä kevyesti kostutetulla
liinalla.
• Älä käytä puhdistus- tai luotinaineita. Nämä
voivat vahingoittaa muovipintoja.

Hävittäminen
Älä hävitä laitetta tavallisen talousjätteen
mukana. Tämä tuote on eurooppalaisen
direktiivin 2002/93/EY alainen.
Anna laite hyväksytyn jätehuoltoyrityksen tai kunnal-
lisen jätelaitoksen hävitettäväksi.
Noudata voimassa olevia määräyksiä.
Ota epävarmoissa tilanteissa yhteyttä jätelaitok-
seen.
Paristojen/akkujen hävittäminen
Paristoja/akkuja ei saa hävittää kotitalousjätteiden
seassa. Laki velvoittaa jokaista kuluttajaa toimitta-
maan paristot ja akut asianmukaisiin keräyspisteisiin
tai kauppaan.
Näin varmistetaan, että paristot/akut hävitetään
ympäristöystävällisellä tavalla. Palauta paristot/
akut ainoastaan lataus purettuna.
Hävitä kaikki pakkausmateriaalit ympäris-
töystävällisellä tavalla.
Takuu & huolto
Laitteen takuu on 3 vuotta ostopäivästä. Laite on
valmistettu huolellisesti ja tarkistettu tarkasti ennen
toimitusta. Säilytä ostokuitti todisteeksi takuun
voimassaolosta. Ota takuutapauksessa puhelimitse
yhteyttä huoltopisteeseesi. Vain näin voidaan taata
tuotteesi maksuton lähettäminen huoltoon.
Takuu koskee ainoastaan materiaali- ja
valmistusvirheitä, ei kuitenkaan kuluvia osia tai
herkästi vaurioituvien osien, esim. kytkinten tai
akkujen vaurioita. Tuote on tarkoitettu ainoastaan
yksityiseen, ei kaupalliseen käyttöön.
Väärä tai asiaton käyttö, väkivallan käyttö ja mui-
den kuin valtuutetun huoltopisteen suorittamat kor-
jaukset aiheuttavat takuun raukeamisen. Tämä takuu
