01_AVVERTENZE GENERALI DI SICUREZZA
Prima di iniziare ad utilizzare il rullo di
allenamento, leggete attentamente le
avvertenze di seguito elencate per la vostra
salute e sicurezza.
1. L’apparecchio non deve essere utilizzato
da persone (inclusi i bambini) con capacità
fisiche, sensoriali o mentali ridotte, o
mancanza di esperienza e conoscenza, a
meno che non siano stati supervisionati o
istruiti.
2. I bambini devono essere sorvegliati
affinché non giochino con l’apparecchio.
3. Prima di iniziare l’allenamento
sottoponetevi ad un’accurata visita
medico-sportiva, che certifichi il Vostro
stato di buona salute.
4. Scegliete una modalità di allenamento
che sia compatibile con le Vostre condizioni
di salute e capacità di resistenza fisica.
5. Se durante l’allenamento avvertite
sensazioni di particolare affaticamento o
di dolore, interrompete immediatamente
l’utilizzo del rullo e consultate il Vostro
medico.
6. Utilizzare solamente l’alimentatore in
dotazione (mod. 6A-181WP12).
La conformità dell' Arion Digital Smart
B+ alle direttive comunitarie (vedi
“Dichiarazione di conformità” a pagina 44)
potrebbe venir meno se non viene utilizzato
l’alimentatore fornito in dotazione.
Le avvertenze sopra elencate hanno
carattere generale e non esaustivo di tutte
le cautele che devono essere adottate per
un utilizzo corretto e sicuro del rullo di
allenamento, di cui l’utente è responsabile
in via esclusiva.
02_ISTRUZIONE PER L’USO
Arion Digital Smart B+ è un rullo di allenamento interattivo
che permette di effettuare allenamenti e test ciclistici
indoor, da interfacciare con un personal computer (Mac e
Windows) e ad App per dispositivi mobili, come smartphone
o tablet (Android e iOS) oppure ad un ciclocomputer con
connettività ANT+™o Bluetooth Smart."
Per un uso completo, il Arion Digital Smart B+ richiede
l'uso di display (programma, app o device) che sia in grado
di connettersi al rullo, mostrare i dati dell'allenamento e far
variare la resistenza del rullo.
Grazie alle connettività “ANT+” e “Bluetooth Smart“
integrate, Arion Digital Smart B+ si connette al computer
o al device mobile senza fili. La doppia connettività rende
Arion Digital Smart B+ compatibile con la maggior parte di
periferiche anche senza l’aggiunta di ulteriori componenti.
Arion Digital Smart B+ è compatibile con la maggior parte
delle app/programmi, come ad esempio, ma non solo:
Zwift, TrainerRoad, The Sufferfest, alcuni Garmin Edge,
Road Grand Tours, VirtuGo, e molti altri).
Tra le app/programmi con cui Arion Digital Smart B+
funziona meglio c’è my E-training. Questa app /
programma, per Windows, Mac, iOS e Android, sviluppata
da Elite è pienamente compatibile con Arion Digital Smart
B+ e permette all’utente di allenarsi in tanti modi diversi.
Si possono creare allenamenti basati su potenza o
pendenza, videopercorsi, corse basate sulle mappe di
Google, si possono importare i dati GPS di un’uscita reale,
fare test di valutazione e molte altre cose.
Arion Digital Smart B+ costituisce uno strumento di
allenamento che consente di raggiungere la migliore
forma per il ciclismo.
I rulli, in materiale tecnopolimero, sono sagomati allo
scopo di garantire migliore controllo dell’andatura.
I cuscinetti di alta qualità garantiscono molti anni di uso
senza alcun inconveniente o rumorosità dovuta ad usura
dei materiali.
Il telaio dell' Arion Digital Smart B+ è molto pratico,
maneggevole, facile da usare e non è ingombrante.
Infatti, Arion Digital Smart B+ ha il telaio pieghevole e

quando viene riposto lo spazio d’ingombro viene ridotto di
circa la metà; questa è un ottima scelta anche per il
trasporto stesso.
È consigliato a tutti gli utenti di qualsiasi livello.
03_PROTOCOLLI DI TRASMISSIONE
Il rullo utilizza due diversi protocolli di trasmissione per
interagire ed inviare i dati a programmi / app / dispositivi.
Verifica con il produttore dell’app / programma / dispositivo
la compatibilità con uno o più di questi protocolli.
ANT+
Protocollo “ANT+ FE-C”. Questo protocollo permette al
programma / app / dispositivo di ricevere i dati
dell’allenamento e variare la resistenza del rullo. Con
questo protocollo è possibile una completa interazione con
il rullo.
Protocollo “ANT+ Speed&Cadence” (Velocità&Cadenza)*.
Questo protocollo permette l’invio dei dati di velocità e
cadenza del rullo. Questo protocollo è molto più comune
del ANT+ FE-C ma non permette l’interazione dell’app/
programma/periferica.
Protocollo “ANT+ Power” (Potenza). Questo protocollo
permette l’invio del dato di potenza che il ciclista sta
sviluppando. Questo protocollo è più comune del “ANT+
FE-C” ma non permette l’interazione dell’app /programma
/ periferica.
Ad eccezione di alcuni smartphone, che hanno la
connettività ANT+ integrata, per la connessione tramite il
protocollo ANT+ è necessario l’uso di una chiavetta che
permette la connettività a computer ed a molte periferiche
Android (tramite un cavo adattatore).
Per le periferiche iOS è necessario l’uso di una chiavetta
particolare (non inclusa).

protocollo ANT+ è disponibile sul sito ANT+ (http://www.

BLUETOOTH SMART
Protocollo “Servizio Fitness Machine – Indoor Bike”.
Questo protocollo permette al programma / app /
dispositivo compatibile di ricevere i dati dell’allenamento e
variare la resistenza del rullo.
Con questo protocollo è possibile una completa interazione
con il rullo.
Al momento non sono molte i programmi / app / dispositivi
compatibili con questo protocollo ma è probabile che in
futuro ce ne siano sempre di più.
Protocollo “Servizio Speed&Cadence” (Velocità&Cadenza)*.
Questo protocollo permette l’invio dei dati di velocità e
cadenza del rullo. Questo protocollo non permette
l’interazione con un programma / app / dispositivo.
Protocollo “Servizio Power” (Potenza). Questo protocollo
permette l’invio del dato di potenza che il ciclista sta
sviluppando. Questo non permette l’interazione con il
programma / app / dispositivo.
Nella maggior parte dei casi, smartphone e tablet hanno
già la connettività Bluetooth Smart e quindi non necessitano
alcun componente aggiuntivo per poter comunicare con il
rullo. Potrebbe essere che periferiche più datate non siano
compatibili. Verificare con il produttore la compatibilità con
Bluetooth Smart.
Nota: Quando il rullo è collegato con un protocollo
Bluetooth Smart ad dispositivo, non è più possibile
connetterlo con altri dispositivi Bluetooth. Questo è dovuto
ad una limitazione del protocollo Bluetooth Smart.
* Attenzione: se il programma / app / dispositivo utilizza il
protocollo Speed&Cadence per la ricezione della velocità, è
necessario impostare un valore di circonferenza che
dipende dal rullo.
Nell’ Arion Digital Smart B+ la circonferenza da impostare
è pari a 67 mm.
04_SENSORE CADENZA
Il rullo Arion Digital Smart B+ non utilizza un sensore per
la rilevazione della cadenza. Questo è possibile grazie
ad un sofisticato calcolo che si basa sulla velocità. Non
essendo una misura diretta ma il risultato di un calcolo, in
particolari situazioni il valore della cadenza potrebbe non
essere accurato.
05_MODIFICHE AI PRODOTTI
ELITE, anche in funzione dell’aggiornamento tecnologico, si
riserva il diritto di apportare modifiche ai prodotti o alle loro
specifiche senza obbligo di notifica o altra comunicazione
preventiva al Cliente per:
a) modifiche che non influiscano negativamente sulle
prestazioni del prodotto;
b) modifiche necessarie per soddisfare o migliorare le
specifiche di prodotto;
c) modifiche necessarie per l’adeguamento a requisiti di
legge o regolamentari applicabili.
ELITE si riserva inoltre il diritto di fornire i prodotti con tali
miglioramenti senza alcun obbligo o responsabilità di
apportare le stesse modifiche ai prodotti precedentemente
acquistati, riservandosi inoltre il diritto di modificare i prezzi
e la disponibilità di modelli secondo le condizioni di
mercato, la disponibilità dei componenti e altre
considerazioni aziendali.
06_DISCLAIMER
Elite S.r.l. non è responsabile di eventuali danni temporanei
o permanenti all’integrità fisica dell’utente che siano
conseguenza diretta o indiretta dell’utilizzo del rullo di
allenamento.

08_ASSEMBLAGGIO
Il Vostro prodotto Arion Digital Smart B+ non necessita di
alcun intervento di montaggio poiché tale operazione è
interamente realizzata presso i nostri reparti produttivi che
ne verificano la perfetta funzionalità su ogni esemplare
prodotto.
09_REGOLAZIONE INTERASSE DELL'ARION
DIGITAL SMART B+
Prima di iniziare ad utilizzare il Vostro Arion Digital Smart
B+ sarà necessario effettuare una regolazione
dell’interasse rulli per renderli compatibili con la misura del
telaio della Vostra bicicletta.
La regolazione dovrà essere effettuata nella seguente
modalità:
1) Misurare la lunghezza tra il centro delle ruote della
bicicletta che si andrà ad utilizzare su Arion Digital Smart
B+ (Fig.2). Per comodità chiameremo tale dimensione “X”.
2) La distanza dal punto intermedio tra i due rulli posteriori
fino al centro del rullo anteriore dell'Arion Digital Smart B+,
che per comodità chiameremo “Y” (Fig.3), dovrà
corrispondere o avvicinarsi il più possibile alla misura “X”.
L’asse del rullo anteriore dell'Arion Digital Smart B+ deve
essere posizionato nel foro del telaio Arion Digital Smart
B+ la quale misura riportata sulla scala graduata si
avvicina maggiormente alla dimensione “X” (Fig.4).
ATTENZIONE: la dimensione “Y” deve essere pari o
leggermente superiore a “X”. I rulli possono essere
regolati per adattarli con biciclette la cui distanza
tra le ruote vada da 0944-1124 mm (37 a 44 pollici).
3) Per cambiare Y bisogna spostare il rullo anteriore F).
4) Ripiegare l‘Arion Digital Smart B+ fino a che vi sia un
lasco nella cinghia di trasmissione E).
5) Allentare la cinghia di trasmissione E) facendola
fuoriuscire dalle relative guide anteriore e posteriore.
6) Dispiegare nuovamente l’Arion Digital Smart B+ in
posizione aperta.
7) Rimuovere i coperchi rettangolari C) (eventualmente
aiutandosi con un cacciavite), le viti e le rondelle dal rullo
anteriore da entrambi i lati, utilizzando la chiave esagonale
data in dotazione (Fig. 5 e Fig. 6).
8) Estrarre il rullo dalla posizione originale.
9) Posizionare il rullo nella sede appropriata di fori del
telaio, affinchè X corrisponda con Y.
10) Riposizionare le viti e le rondelle nei fori appositi, ma
non stringerle del tutto.
11) Chiudere l’Arion Digital Smart B+, posizionare la
cinghia di trasmissione E) sulla guida del rullo anteriore F)
e centrale G).
12) Dispiegare l’Arion Digital Smart B+ nuovamente in
posizione aperta.
13) Controllare la posizione del rullo anteriore F) mettendo
la vostra bicicletta sui rulli e confermando il corretto
allineamento dell’asse del rullo anteriore con l’asse
anteriore della bicicletta.
14) Una volta che il rullo anteriore F) è posizionato,
stringere le viti con la giusta forza, non troppo perché si
potrebbero deformare i longheroni A).
15) Chiudere i lati con i coperchi rettangolari C).
NOTE
- Attenzione: sistemi integrati wireless che lavorano
sulla stessa banda di frequenza, possono interferire con
la trasmissione dei dati dell'Arion Digital Smart B+. In
questo caso disattivare tali apparecchi.
- Evitare di lasciare il rullo alla luce diretta del sole o in
ambienti particolarmente umidi per periodi prolungati
quando non sono utilizzate.
- Non applicare mai detergenti chimici (benzine o
diluenti) su nessuna parte dell'Arion Digital Smart B+.
10_UTILIZZO
- Inserire l’alimentatore I) nella presa elettrica e il
connettore nell’Arion Digital Smart B+ (Fig. 7 e Fig. 8).
- Iniziare a pedalare sul rullo.
11_TROUBLESHOOTING
Il valore di cadenza non è accurato:
l’algoritmo di calcolo della cadenza senza sensore in
condizioni particolari potrebbe non essere accurato.
Normalmente questo è più critico quando si fanno
allenamenti ad altre frequenze di pedalata e bassa

resistenza.
Il trainer non si connette alla app:
il trainer deve essere alimentato correttamente per poter
funzionare, ed entro 15 minuti deve essere fatta la
connessione con un dispositivo, altrimenti il trainer entrerà
in modalità di risparmio energetico. Per riattivare il rullo,
iniziare a pedalare oppure disalimentare e rialimentare il
rullo stesso, effettuare poi la connessione entro i 15 minuti.
12_SUGGERIMENTI PER UTILIZZARE IL
VOSTRO ARION DIGITAL SMART B+
1) I rulli funzionano meglio con pneumatico avente
battistrada liscio. Se usate una mountain bike, per ridurre
la rumorosità e aumentare la stabilità, cambiare il
pneumatico in dotazione con pneumatico liscio.
2) Se siete principianti, posizionate i rulli in un vano
d’ingresso o vicino ad un oggetto stabile, in modo da avere
un sostegno per poter sviluppare il necessario equilibrio.
3) Assicuratevi che l'Arion Digital Smart B+ posi su una
superficie piana.
4) Iniziate a pedalare e guardate avanti, come se foste in
strada. Anche se istintivamente tendereste a guardare la
ruota anteriore, riuscirete meglio a mantenere l'equilibrio e
a pedalare “in linea retta” se vi concentrate su un oggetto
posto davanti a voi a 2.5 – 4 mt (10-15 piedi).
5) Se iniziate a inclinarvi o a spostarvi sul lato dei tamburi,
correggete la vostra posizione con movimenti di sterzo
molto leggeri. Se sterzate troppo perderete il vostro
equilibrio o finirete oltre il lato dei rulli.
6) Mantenere una cadenza di pedalata elevata e uniforme
vi aiuterà a rimanere in equilibrio sui rulli, grazie all'effetto
giroscopico della velocità delle ruote.
7) Inizialmente, pedalare sui rulli vi darà la sensazione
d’instabilità,muovere il manubrio troppo bruscamente o
pedalare con un ritmo pesante può farvi perdere il
controllo. Questo è il grande vantaggio dei rulli rispetto agli
strumenti da allenamento standard. I rulli insegneranno a
ridurre il movimento della parte superiore del corpo e a
mantenere un ritmo di pedalata uniforme.
13_FINE UTILIZZO
-Per il trasporto o per ridurre gli ingombri quando non si
utilizza il rullo si consiglia di chiudere il telaio. Fare attenzione
alla posizione delle mani al momento di chiudere il rullo
evitando di schiacciarle tra i due longheroni. La corretta
operazione di chiusura richiede di posizionare le mani nelle
estremità dei longheroni e di richiudere il telaio (Fig. 9).
- Evitare quindi di posizionare le mani in modo che possano
schiacciarsi tra i longheroni (Fig. 10).
- Per facilitare il trasporto si consiglia di prenderlo per le
apposite maniglie presenti in corrispondenza delle cerniere
(Fig. 11).
14_CURA E MANUTENZIONE
1) L'esposizione prolungata alla luce diretta del sole può
provocare la deformazione dei rulli in tecnopolimero. Non
utilizzate o tenere i rulli alla luce diretta del sole.
2) Pulire sempre i rulli dopo l'uso. Usare solo un panno umido.
Non usate solventi o detergenti aggressivi.
3) Nel caso di inutilizzo prolungato dell' Arion Digital Smart B+,
sganciare la cinghia di trasmissione facendola fuoriuscire dalla
relativa sede oppure richiudetelo. Tale tensionamento può
provocarne una prematura perdita dell’efficienza di
trasmissione.
4) I cuscinetti accoppiati sul rullo sono autolubrificati e non
necessitano di manutenzione.
5) Controllare periodicamente che le viti di bloccaggio rulli
siano ben serrate, avendo cura di non deformare le plastiche.
6) Non lasciare l'alimentatore attaccato al rullo se non in uso.
7) Nel caso di usura o rottura della cinghia di trasmissione,
sostituire la stessa come segue:
A) togliere il coperchio rettangolare C) dal longherone del lato
opposto alla resistenza magnetica;
B) svitare le viti fissaggio (Fig. 12);
C) svitare le viti fissaggio che si trovano nel longherone lato
opposto alla resistenza magnetica del rullo centrale G (Fig. 13);
D) sostituire la cinghia, rialloggiare i rulli nelle corrette sedi e
fissare nuovamente;
E) inserire il coperchio rettangolare nella sua sede;
8) cinghie di trasmissione e altri pezzi di ricambio sono
disponibili per l'Arion Digital Smart B+ da Elite indicando il
relativo codice.
15_ATTENZIONE
- Evitare che persone, bambini o animali possano
avvicinarsi al rullo durante l’utilizzo in quanto i componenti
in movimento o rotanti del rullo e della bicicletta possono
produrre danni in caso di contatto.
- Prima di iniziare l'allenamento, posizionare il trainer in un

02_INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Arion Digital Smart B+ is an interactive home trainer for
indoor training sessions and tests to be interfaced with a
personal computer (Mac and Windows) and apps for
mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets (Android
and iOS) or to a cycle computer with ANT+™or Bluetooth
Smart connectivity.
The integrated "ANT+" and "Bluetooth Smart" protocols
interact wirelessly with PCs and mobile devices, with no
additional components necessary for Arion Digital Smart
B+ compatibility with most devices.
Arion Digital Smart B+ supports ANT+ FE-C, an interactive
protocol developed for hometrainers to read speed and
cadence data and to adjust resistance. Other protocols
allow only one-way data transfer and no interaction with
the hometrainer.
Moreover, the ANT+ FE-C protocol is “open” - it allows the
hometrainer to run all the software that supports it, so you
can freely choose the software to use with the Arion Digital
Smart B+.
Arion Digital Smart B+ is compatible with most apps/
software, including but not limited to: Zwift, TrainerRoad,
The Sufferfest, some Garmin Edge, Road Grand Tours,
VirtuGo, and many more).
My E-Training is one of the apps/software that Arion Digital
Smart B+ works best with. This Windows, Mac, iOS and
Android app/software developed by Elite is fully compatible
with Arion Digital Smart B+ and offers many different
training solutions for the user. You can create training
sessions based on power or slope, video races, Google-
maps based courses and also import GPS data of a real
outdoor race, conduct evaluation tests and much more.
The roller is a training tool enabling users to get into top
shape for cycling.

03_DATA TRANSMISSION PROTOCOLS
Arion Digital Smart B+ uses two different transmission
protocols to interact and send data to software / app /
device.
Please contact the app / software / device manufacturer to
verify compatibility with one or more of these protocols.
ANT+
ANT+ FE-C: this protocol allows the software / app / devi-
ce to receive training data and adjust hometrainer resistan-
ce. This protocol permits total interaction with the home-
trainer.
ANT+ Speed&Cadence*: this protocol transmits hometrai-
ner speed and cadence data. Although more common than
the ANT+ FE-C, it does not allow interaction and the app/
software/ device.
ANT+ Power: this protocol transmits the cyclist’s power
output data. Also much more common than the
ANT+ FE-C, but this protocol does not allow interaction
between the hometrainer and the app/software/device.
With the exception of smartphones that feature integrated
ANT+ connectivity, a USB dongle is necessary to connect
via the ANT+ protocol.
If iOS devices are used, a specific dongle is needed (not
included).

BLUETOOTH SMART
Fitness Machine - Indoor Bike service This protocol sends
training data to compatible software / app / device and
adjusts resistance on the hometrainer. This protocol offers
total interaction with the hometrainer.
Speed&Cadence Service*: this protocol transmits home-
trainer speed and cadence data, but does not allow inte-
raction between software / app / device and the hometrai-
ner.
Power Service: this protocol transmits the cyclist’s power
output data, but will it also not allow interaction between
software / app / device and the hometrainer. In most cases,
smartphones and tablets already
feature Bluetooth Smart connectivity, so there is no need
for additional components to communicate
with the Arion Digital Smart B+. However, the more outda-
ted devices might not be compatible. Please consult your
app provider to make sure that it’s Bluetooth Smart com-
patible.
NOTE: When the hometrainer is connected to the device by
a Bluetooth Smart protocol, it cannot be connected to
additional devices. This is a restriction of the Bluetooth
Smart protocol itself.
* Attention: if the program / app / device uses the
Speed&Cadence protocol for speed reception, the circum-
ference value to be set depends on the roller.
In the Arion Digital Smart B+, the circumference to be set
is 67 mm.
04_CADENCE SENSOR
The Arion Digital Smart B+ roller does not use a sensor for
measuring the cadence. This is possible thanks to a sophi-
sticated calculation based on the speed. Since this is not a
direct measurement, but the result of a calculation, in
particular situations the cadence value may not be accu-
rate.
05_PRODUCT MODIFICATIONS
Also in view of any technical update, ELITE reserves
the right to make changes to the products or their
specifications without being obliged to notify or inform the
Customer beforehand for:
a) changes that do not affect negatively the product
performance;
b) changes required to meet or improve the product
specifications;
c) changes necessary for the products to comply with the
applicable legal requirements.
ELITE also reserves the right to supply these products
with these improvements without being obliged to or
responsible for applying the same modifications to any
previously purchased products, reserving also the right to
change prices and model availability according to market
conditions, component availability and other corporate

08_ASSEMBLY
Your Arion Digital Smart B+ roller should arrive fully
assembled, checked and ready for use.
09_DISTANCE ADJUSTMENT OF ARION
DIGITAL SMART B+
Before starting to use your Arion Digital Smart B+ it is
necessary to adjust the centre distance of the rollers to
make them compatible with your bicycle’s wheelbase.
This adjustment must be carried out as follows:
1) Measure the distance between the centres of the whe-
els of the bicycle to be used on the Arion Digital Smart B+
(Fig. 2). We will call this dimension “X”.
2) The distance from the intermediate point between the
two rear rollers to the middle of the Arion Digital Smart B+
front roller, which we will call “Y” (Fig. 3), must match or be
as near as possible to dimension “X” .The axle of the Arion
Digital Smart B+ front roller must be positioned in the hole
of the Arion Digital Smart B+ frame whose measurement
given on the graduated scale is closest to dimension “X”
(Fig. 4).
ATTENTION: dimension “Y” must be equal to or slightly
greater than “X”. The rollers can be adjusted to adapt
them to bicycles whose wheelbase is 944-1124 mm
(37 to 44 inches).
3) To change Y it is necessary to shift the front roller F).
4) Fold the Arion Digital Smart B+ until the drive belt E)
slackens.
5) Loosen the drive belt E), making it come off the respec-
tive front and rear guides.
6) Unfold the Arion Digital Smart B+ back into the open
position.
7) Remove the rectangular covers C) from both front lon-
gitudinal members (with aid of a screwdriver if necessary),
and the screws and washers from the front roller on both
sides, using the allen key supplied (Fig. 5 and Fig. 6).
8) Pull the roller out from its original position.
9) Position the roller in the appropriate seat in the holes in
the frame, so that X matches Y.
10) Refit the screws and the washers in the special holes,
but do not tighten them down.
11) Close the Arion Digital Smart B+, position the drive belt
E) on the guide of the front roller F) and middle roller G).
12) Unfold the Arion Digital Smart B+ into open position
again.
13) Check the position of the front roller F), putting your
bicycle on the rollers and checking that the axle for the
front wheel sits directly above the front roller.
14) Once the front roller F) has been positioned, tighten the
screws without applying too much pressure which could
twist the A) side Frames.
15) Close the sides with the rectangular covers C). The
Arion Digital Smart B+ is now ready to use.
NOTES
- Attention: integrated wireless systems that work on
the same frequency band can interfere with the data
transmission of the Arion Digital Smart B+. In this case,
deactivate them.
- Do not leave the roller and console exposed to direct
sunlight or in particularly humid places for prolonged
periods when not being used.
- Never use chemical detergents (petrol or thinners) on
any part of the Arion Digital Smart B+.
10_USE
- Plug the power adapter I) into a wall outlet and the con-
nector into the resistance unit (Fig. 7 and Fig. 8).
- Start pedalling.
11_TROUBLESHOOTING
The cadence value is not accurate:
the algorithm that calculates cadence without a sensor can
sometimes vary in accuracy. This might happen when
training with a high pedaling cadence at a low resistance
level.
If the hometrainer does not connect to the app:
The hometrainer needs to be properly powered up to work
and it needs to connect to a device within 15 minutes,
otherwise it will automatically enter its energy saving
phase. Start pedaling or unplug it and plug it in again to
reactivate it, and then connect to a device within 15 minu-
tes.
12_ADVICE ON USING YOUR ARION DIGITAL
SMART B+
1)The rollers work best with tyre that has a smooth tread.
If using a mountain bike, to reduce noise and increase
stability change the tyre for one with a slick tread.
2) For beginners, position the rollers in an entrance hall, in
a doorway or near a stable object, in order to have a sup-
port while acquiring the necessary balance.
3) Make sure the Arion Digital Smart B+ rests on a flat,

stable surface.
4) Start pedalling and look ahead, like on the road. Even if
you would instinctively tend to look at the front wheel, you
will keep balance better and pedal “in a straight line” if you
concentrate on an object located 2.5 – 4 metres (10-15
feet) in front of you.
5) If you start leaning or shift to the side of the drums,
correct your position with very light steering movements. If
you steer to much you will lose balance or end up over the
side of the rollers.
6) Keeping a fast and smooth pedalling style will help you
stay balanced on the rollers, thanks to the gyroscopic
effect of the wheels.
7) At first, pedalling on the rollers will give you a feeling of
instability, and moving the handlebar too abruptly or pedal-
ling heavily can make you lose control. The big advantage
of the rollers, compared to standard training tools, is that
the rollers teach you to reduce the movement of the upper
part of your body and maintain a steady pedalling pace.
13_END USE
- For carrying, or to save space when not using the roller,
it is advisable close the frame. Pay attention to the position
of hands when closing the roller, to avoid squashing them
between the two side members. To close the frame, place
hands at the ends of the side members (Fig. 9).
- Therefore avoid placing hands in such a way that can
become squashed between the side members (Fig. 10).
- To facilitate carrying, it is advisable to hold it by the
special grips located at the hinges (Fig. 11).
14_CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1) Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause defor-
mation of the technopolymer rollers. Do not use or keep the
rollers in places where they are exposed to direct sunlight.
2) Always clean the rollers after use. Only use a damp
cloth. Do not use solvents or harsh detergents.
3) If the Arion Digital Smart B+ is not going to be used for
a prolonged period, release the drive belt, bringing it out of
its seat, or close it, otherwise the belt’s tension could cause
early loss of transmission efficiency.
4) The coupled bearings on the roller do not require lubri-
cation and are practically maintenance-free.
5) Periodically check the roller clamping screws, make
sure that they are still tight but not so tight as to damage
the plastic frame.
6) Do not leave the charger connected to the roller.
7) In case of wear or breakage of the drive belt, replace it
by proceeding as follows:
A) Remove the rectangular covers (C) from both front
longitudinal members (with aid of a screwdriver if necessa-
ry), and the screws and washers from the front roller on
both sides, using the Allen key I) supplied.
B) Undo the fixing screw (Fig. 12).
C) Undo the fixing screw located on the longitudinal mem-
ber on the side opposite the magnetic resistance of the
middle roller G (Fig. 13).
D) Replace the belt, refit the rollers in their correct seats
and secure all the screws again.
E) Position the rectangular cover on its seat.
8) Drive belts and other spare parts for the Arion Digital
Smart B+ are available from you local Elite dealer.
15_ATTENTION
- Keep people, children and animals away from the roller
during use, since the moving and rotating parts of the roller
and the bicycle can cause damage in case of contact.
- Before starting training, position the trainer in a dry place,
away from potentially hazardous objects (furniture, tables,
chairs, etc.) in order to avoid any risk of inadvertent or
accidental contact with them.
- The roller is designed for use by a single rider.
- Do not use the bicycle brakes to stop. Rest a foot on the
Arion Digital Smart B+ frame and allow the bicycle to come
to a stop.
- Do not store the Arion Digital Smart B+ in wet or damp
places. The electronic components could become dama-
ged.
- The Arion Digital Smart B+ may not comply with the EC
directives if the power adapter supplied is not used.
16_PACKAGING
If the roller needs to be shipped, careful packaging is
critical:
- remove the charger cable from the Arion Digital Smart
B+;
- put the cable in a humidity-free container;
- pack up the Arion Digital Smart B+ in its original box.
Concerning shipments, packages often undergo strong
shocks and bumps, so any non-original packaging might
irreparably damage the home trainer. Such damages are not
covered by the warranty.
Note: before shipping the home trainer or any of its
components to customer service, constult Elite or its
distributor or your own retailer.
Any non-planned shipment might not be accepted.

1) WITHIN THE EUROPEAN UNION
This product conforms with European Directives 2002/95/

service life the product must be collected

03_ÜBERTRAGUNGSPROTOKOLLE
Der Rollentrainer verwendet verschiedene
Übertragungsprotokolle für die Interaktionen und das

einem oder mehreren dieser Protokolle.
ANT+™
“ANT+™ FE-C” Protokoll. Über dieses Protokoll kann das
Programm / die App / die Vorrichtung die Trainingsdaten
erhalten und den Widerstand des Rollentrainers anpassen.
Dieses Protokoll macht die Interaktion mit dem Rollentrainer
möglich.
“ANT+™ Speed&Cadence” (Geschwindigkeit&Trittfreque
nz)* Protokoll. Über dieses Protokoll können die Daten
hinsichtlich Geschwindigkeit und Trittfrequenz des
Rollentrainers gesendet werden. Dieses Protokoll ist viel
üblicher als ANT+™ FE-C, allerdings ist die Interaktion mit
der App / dem Programm / dem Gerät nicht möglich.
“ANT+™ Power” (Leistung) Protokoll. Über dieses
Protokoll kann der Wert der Kraftleistung gesendet werden,
die der Athlet entwickelt.
Dieses Protokoll ist üblicher als ANT+™ FE-C, allerdings
ist die Interaktion mit der App / dem Programm / dem
Gerät nicht möglich.
Abgesehen von dem Fall einiger Smartphone mit
integrierter ANT+™ Konnektivität, ist für die Verbindung
über das ANT+™ Protokoll ein USB-Stick erforderlich. Der
USB-Stick erlaubt die Konnektivität zum PC und vielen
anderen Android-Geräten (über einen Adapterkabel).
Für iOS-Geräte muss ein spezieller Stick (nicht mitgeliefert)
verwendet werden.

BLUETOOTH SMART.
“Fitness Machine Service - Indoor Bike” Protokoll. Dieses
Protokoll ermöglicht dem kompatiblen Programm / app /
Gerät die Trainingsdaten zu erhalten und den Widerstand
der Rolle zu variieren. Mit diesem Protokoll ist eine
vollständige Interaktion mit der Rolle möglich.
“Service Speed&Cadence” (Geschwindgketi –
Trittfrequenz)* Protokoll. Über dieses Protokoll können die
Daten hinsichtlich Geschwindigkeit und Trittfrequenz des
Rollentrainers gesendet werden. Über dieses Protokoll
kann keine Interaktion mit einem Programm / einer App /
einer Vorrichtung erfolgen.
“Service Power (Leistung)” Protokoll. Über dieses Protokoll
kann der Wert der Kraftleistung gesendet werden, die der
Athlet entwickelt. Über dieses Protokoll kann keine
Interaktion mit dem Programm / der App / der Vorrichtung
erfolgen.
In den meisten Fällen verfügen Smartphones und Tablets
bereits über die Bluetooth Smart-Konnektivität, daher ist
keine weitere, zusätzliche Komponente erforderlich, um mit
dem Rollentrainer kommunizieren zu können. Es könnte
sein, dass ältere Geräte nicht kompatibel sind. Stellen Sie
mit dem Hersteller die Kompatibilität mit Bluetooth Smart
sicher.
ANMERKUNGEN : Wenn der Rollentrainer über ein
Peripheriegerät mit einem Bluetooth Smart Protokoll
verbunden ist, ist es nicht mehr möglich, ihn mit einem
anderen Bluetooth Gerät zu verbinden.
Dies rührt von einem Limit des Bluetooth Smart-Protokolls
her.
* Achtung: Wenn das Programm / die App / das Gerät zum
Empfangen der Geschwindigkeit das Protokoll
Speed&Cadence verwendet, muss ein von der Rolle
abhängiger Umfangswert eingegeben werden.
Im Arion Digital Smart B+ beträgt der einzugebende
Umfang 67 mm.

Beim Rollentrainer Arion Digital Smart B+ wird kein Sensor

zur Ermittlung des Rhythmus eingesetzt. Dies ist dank einer
ausgefeilten, auf der Geschwindigkeit basierenden
Kalkulation möglich. Nachdem es sich nicht um eine
direkte Messung, sondern um das Ergebnis einer
Kalkulation handelt, könnte der Rhythmuswert in
besonderen Situationen nicht akkurat sein.

08_ZUSAMMENBAU
Ihr Produkt Arion Digital Smart B+ erfordert keinerlei
Montage, da diese vollständig in unseren
Produktionsabteilungen, die die perfekte Funktionalität an
jedem hergestellten Exemplar überprüfen, vorgenommen
wird.
09_ABSTANDSEINSTELLUNG
Bevor Sie Ihren Arion Digital Smart B+ in Gebrauch
nehmen, muss eine Einstellung des Mittenabstands der
Rollen vorgenommen werden, um die Kompatibilität mit
den Rahmenmaßen Ihres Fahrrads herzustellen.
Die Einstellung muss wie folgt ausgeführt werden:
1) Den Längenabstand zwischen der Mitte der Räder des
Fahrrads, das auf Arion Digital Smart B+ benutzt werden
soll, messen (Abb. 2). Der Bequemlichkeit halber
bezeichnen wir dieses Maß als “X”.
2) Der Abstand vom Mittelpunkt zwischen den beiden
hinteren Rollen bis zur Mitte der vorderen Rolle des Arion
Digital Smart B+, der der Bequemlichkeit halber als “Y”
bezeichnet wird (Abb. 3), muss mit dem Maß “X”
übereinstimmen oder sich so weit wie möglich an dieses
annähern. Die Achse der vorderen Rolle des Arion Digital
Smart B+ muss in jener Öffnung des Arion Digital Smart
B+-Rahmens, deren auf der Skala angegebenes Maß sich
am meisten an das Maß “X” annähert, positioniert werden
(Abb. 4).
ACHTUNG: Das Maß “Y” muss dem Maß “X”
entsprechen oder leicht höher als dieses sein. Die
Rollen können zur Anpassung an Fahrräder, deren
Abstand zwischen den Rädern 944 bis 1124 mm (37
bis 44 Zoll) beträgt, eingestellt werden.
3) Zur Veränderung von Y muss die vordere Rolle F)
verschoben werden.
4) Den Arion Digital Smart B+ zusammenklappen, bis am
Treibriemen E) ein Durchhang entsteht.
5) Den Treibriemen E) lösen, indem man ihn aus den
entsprechenden Führungen vorne und hinten austreten
lässt.
6) Den Arion Digital Smart B+ erneut in geöffnete Position
bringen.
7) Die rechteckigen Abdeckungen C) von beiden vorderen
Längsholmen abnehmen (eventuell unter Zuhilfenahme
eines Schraubenziehers) und die Schrauben und
Unterlegscheiben unter Verwendung des in der Lieferung
enthaltenen Sechskantschlüssels auf beiden Seiten von
der vorderen Rolle entfernen (Abb. 5 und 6).

8) Die Rolle aus ihrer ursprünglichen Position herausziehen.
9) Die Rolle im geeigneten Sitz der Öffnungen des
Rahmens positionieren, damit X mit Y übereinstimmt.
10 Die Schrauben und die Unterlegscheiben wieder in den
entsprechenden Öffnungen positionieren, aber nicht
vollständig anziehen.
11) Den Arion Digital Smart B+ schließen und den
Treibriemen E) auf der Führung der vorderen F) und
mittleren Rolle G) positionieren.
12) Den Arion Digital Smart B+ erneut in geöffnete
Position bringen.
13) Die Position der vorderen Rolle F) kontrollieren, indem
Sie Ihr Fahrrad auf die Rollen stellen und die korrekte
lineare Ausrichtung der Achse der vorderen Rolle auf die
vordere Achse des Fahrrads bestätigen.
14) Sobald die vordere Rolle F) positioniert wurde, die
Schrauben auf angemessene Weise anziehen, d.h. nicht
allzu fest, da sich sonst die Längsholme A) verformen
könnten.
15) Die Seiten mit den rechteckigen Abdeckungen
verschließen C). Jetzt ist Arion Digital Smart B+ zum
Gebrauch bereit.
ANMERKUNGEN
- Achtung: Integrierte Wireless-Systeme, die auf dem
gleichen Frequenzband arbeiten, können Interferenzen
bei der Datenübertragung des Arion Digital Smart B+
bewirken. Sollte dies der Fall sein, müssen die
betreffenden Geräte deaktiviert werden.
- Während langer Perioden der Nichtbenutzung
vermeiden, dass der Rollentrainer und die Konsole im
direkten Sonnenlicht oder in besonders feuchten
Umgebungen aufbewahrt werden.
- Keinesfalls chemische Reinigungsmittel (Benzine
oder Verdünnungsmittel) auf irgendwelchen Teilen des
Arion Digital Smart B+ verwenden.
10_VERWENDUNG
- Das Speisegerät IN) in die Steckdose stecken und den
Stecker in die Arion Digital Smart B+ (Abb. 7 e Abb 8).
- Auf der Konsole eine der Trainingsmodalitäten einstellen.
- Auf dem Rollentrainer mit dem Tritt in die Pedale
beginnen.
11_TROUBLESHOOTING
Der Heimtrainer wechselt nicht den Widerstand:
Versuchen Sie, alle elektronischen Peripheriegeräte zu
entfernen (z.B. Smartphone und/oder WLAN-Router) oder
den Übertragungskanal zu ändern und dann wieder neu
mit der App/der Software/dem Fahrradcomputer zu
koppeln.
Keine Verbindung vom Trainer zur APP/Fahrrad-
Computer:
Zunächst ist es erforderlich, den Trainer korrekt
anzuschließen, damit dieser auch funktionieren kann, die
Verbindung zum Gerät muss innerhalb 2 Minuten
hergestellt werden, ansonsten der Trainer auf
Energiesparmodus umstellt. Um den Trainer wieder in
Betrieb zu setzen, treten Sie in die Pedale oder schalten Sie
die Stromzufuhr aus und wieder ein, dann die Verbindung
innerhalb 15 Minuten wiederherstellen.
12_EMPFEHLUNGEN ZUM GEBRAUCH
IHRES ARION DIGITAL SMART B+
1) Die Rollen funktionieren besser mit Reifen, die eine
glatte Lauffläche aufweisen. Bei Benutzung eines Mountain
Bike den in der Ausstattung enthaltenen Reifen gegen
einen glatten Reifen auswechseln, um die Geräusche zu
dämpfen und die Stabilität zu erhöhen.
2) Für Anfänger empfiehlt sich, den Rollentrainer im
Eingangsbereich oder in der Nähe eines stabilen
Gegenstands zu positionieren, um eine Stütze zu haben,
während sie das erforderliche Gleichgewicht entwickeln.
3) Vergewissern Sie sich, dass Arion Digital Smart B+ auf
einer ebenen Fläche aufliegt.

Bei den ersten Anwendungen mit der Modalität
Widerstandsstufen (LEVEL) beginnen, wobei die niedrigste
Stufe gewählt wird. Sobald Sie sich mit der Bewegung auf
dem Rollentrainer besser vertraut gemacht haben, können
Sie die Widerstandsstufen verändern und auch die
Gangschaltung benutzen. Anschließend können Sie dazu
übergehen, auch die anderen Trainingsmodalitäten
anzuwenden, wobei beachtet werden muss, dass der
Widerstand im Modus Programme (PROGRAM) je nach
Typologie des gewählten Programms automatisch
verändert wird.
5) Beginnen Sie, in die Pedale zu treten, und blicken Sie
nach vorne, als ob Sie sich auf der Straße befänden. Auch
wenn Sie instinktiv dazu neigen, auf das Vorderrad zu
blicken, werden Sie das Gleichgewicht besser halten und
“auf der Geraden” radeln, wenn Sie sich auf einen 2,5 – 4
m (10-15 Fuß) entfernten Gegenstand vor Ihnen
konzentrieren.
6) Wenn Sie sich zu neigen oder auf die Seite der
Trommeln zu verlagern beginnen, korrigieren Sie Ihre
Position mit ganz leichten Lenkbewegungen. Wenn Sie zu
stark lenken, verlieren Sie das Gleichgewicht oder geraten
über die Seite der Rollen hinaus.
