User Instructions
Safety Warnings:
•This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
•Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
•As with conventional radiators, this electric radiator will get hot to the touch during operation. If the
radiator is left on full power for a prolonged period of time the surface temperature can rise to 70 °C
(+/- 5 °C).
•Switch off the radiator at the supply when not in use.
•If the mains supply cable becomes damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent
or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
•Always check that the master switch has been turned off before starting any installation or
maintenance operations.
•Do not cut the power lead to stop the heating element.
•Do not insert fingers, metal or any other objects into the area where the radiator is connected.
•Do not switch on the heating element before the radiator has been properly and completely installed.
Operation:
•Fit the element as per the installation instructions on page 4.
•When the electricity supply is switched on the radiator temperature may be controlled using the integral
thermostat.

Introduction
This radiator is supplied with an electric heating element and is for use with an electric supply only. The product
cannot be used as part of a central heating system or as a dual source radiator.
The radiator can be used for heating throughout the home provided it is fitted with and controlled via the
supplied heating element.
Location
This electric radiator can be installed throughout the home - including bathrooms and shower rooms, provided
it is fitted in a suitable location. The unit is IPX5 rated and may be wall mounted in the Zone 2 area - see
diagram below. However, the electrical connection box must be outside Zone 2. Its position must be such that
the controller cannot be reached by a person in the bath or shower. No part of the radiator may be installed in
Zone 1 or Zone 0.

Cleaning:
•Clean the radiator with a damp cloth only. Abrasive or acidic cleaners may damage the surface finish.
•The radiator is filled with an anti-freezing liquid to a specific level that does not need re-filling and should
not be opened.
•The radiator is designed to be used under AC 230 voltage.
•The heating element must not be connected to the electric supply until it is secured inside the radiator
and correctly orientated (element at the bottom right or left side).
•To avoid a hazard for children, this appliance should be installed at least 60cm from the floor.
•Do not install the radiator with the heating element at the top.
•Do not install the radiator under or in front of a power socket or conector box.
•The power lead must be connected to a socket which must be at least 25cm from the floor.
•See heating element manual for full details.
Installation

Fitting the element:
•Rotate the radiator, keeping the heating element fitting position upwards. It is possible to fit the element on
either the left or the right hand side.
•Unscrew the plug with a wrench.
•Wrap the PTFE tape onto the connection of the heating element.
•Tighten the heating element with the wrench.
•The radiator is supplied complete with its own mains cable. Do not use an extension cable.
•The radiator is a 3-wire product which must be earthed. It should be connected to the household fixed
wiring by a qualified electrician in accordance with national wiring regulations (BS.7671).
•A switch for disconnection from the electricity supply, having a contact separation in all poles that
provide full disconnection under overvoltage category III conditions, must be incorporated in the fixed
wiring.
•A switched spur outlet incorporating a 13A fuse may be used, but this must be positioned outside Zone 2
areas (i.e. away from the bath or shower, see diagram above).
•Wiring regulations also require that each circuit supplying a bathroom must be protected by a 30mA
RCD in its supply.
•Do not connect the element to the power supply until it is secured within the radiator and correctly
orientated - element at the bottom right.

Fitting to the wall:
•The fixings supplied are suitable for use in solid masonry. Use a 10mm drill bit and the wall plugs supplied.
•The wall must be strong enough to support the weight of the radiator. For any other wall type you will
need to source appropriate fixings. If fitting to a plasterboard wall, either fit directly to the wooden struts
or otherwise strengthen the wall; do not fix through plasterboard alone.

understood that the product was faultless at the date of purchase.
