The manufacturerdeveloped and constructed the appliancesothatdamage wouldnotoccur
when the applianceisused foritsintended purpose.The manufacturerconsidersithisobligation
todescribe the following safetymeasuresinordertoavoidfurtherdamages.
• When operating the appliance,itisnecessarytoobservelawsand regionalregulationsvalidin
the placeofusage.Inordertoensuresafecourseofworks,the operatorand userare
responsibleforthe observation of regulations
• The originalpackaging shouldbe keptforthe possiblereturnofthe unit. Onlyoriginal

2.INFORMATIONONPRODUCT
2.1.Usageonpurpose
• Thismedicalcompressor, hereinafterreferred toasthe compressor, isthe sourceofclean,oil-
free pressurized airforusewithrespiratoryequipment. Due tothe silentoperation ofthe
compressor, it ispossibletoplacethe unit nearthe respiratoryappliancebeside the bed ofthe
patient.
The compressed airfromthe compressorissuitableforthe operation ofrespiratory
appliancesorsimilarapparatus.
• The compressoristobe operated indry,aerated roomswherethe ambienttemperatureis
between +15°Cand +40°C, withthe relativeairhumiditynot exceeding 70%.
• The compressormustnotbe exposed torain. The appliancemust not be used inhumidorwet
environments.Furthermore,itisforbidden touseitinthe presenceofflammableliquidsor
gasses.
• Priortothe connection ofcompressortothe respiratoryappliance,itisnecessarytoassess
whetherthe availablemediummeetsthe requirementsofthe given applianceofuse.Please,
refertothe technicaldataforthispurpose.
• Usage,otherthan the compressorsintended useisnotconsidered tobe safe.The
manufacturerisnotresponsibleforthe damagesimplied ifthe compressorisused forother
uses. Sucharisk isassumed onlybyoperator/user.

The applianceconsistsof an oil-free piston compressordriven byasingle-phaseelectricmotor,of
an filtering and drying equipment, ofan pressuretankand ofapressureregulator.The
compressorisplaced inaboxlined withnoisereducing material.The appliancethusproduces
filtered compressed airwithout anytracesof oil withreduced humiditycontents.
The airpump(19)sucks the atmosphericairthrough filters(A),(B).Compressed airiscooled in
the cooler(15),continue inthe filter(C)and condensed liquidfromthe watertrap (14)is
automaticallyreleased tothe evaporativetray(20).The aircontinue through the check valveto
the pressuretank(11)and through the pressureregulator(13)withfilter(D)tothe output(10).
The fansoperatewhilethe airpump(19)works,oralsoduring the pause,when the temperature
inthe cabinetisover40°C.Anyincreaseoftemperatureinthe cabinet over80°C(cooling failure)
issignalled bythe red indicator(3)and byacousticalarm.The pressureswitch(16)control
running the airpump(19)according topressureinthe pressuretank(11).Asafetyvalve(17)
preventsthe maximalallowablepressureinthe pressuretank.

4.STORAGEAND TRANSPORTCONDITIONS
The compressorisdispatched fromthe factoryintransportpacking withthe pumpfixed.Thusthe
applianceisprotected fromdamage during transport.
Duringtransport,ifitispossible,alwaysuse theoriginalpackagingofthe
compressor. Alwaystransportthecompressorup-right.
During transportand storage,protectthe compressoragainsthumidity,contamination
and extremetemperatures.Compressorsthathaveoriginalpackaging can be stored in
warm, dryand dust-free areas.
Keep the packaging material,ifpossible.If itisnotpossible,disposeofthe packaging
materialinan environment-friendlyway.
Thecompressorcanonlybetransportedpressure-free.Itisnecessarytorelease
thepressurefromthepressuretankandpressurehoses priortotransport, andto
release anypossiblecondensatet.
5.INSTALLATIONAND FIRSTPUTTING INTO OPERATION(SEE ANNEX)
It´ sforbiddentouse compressorafterunpackingas faras itdoesn´t adjust
ambienttemperature.
Thecompressormustbeinstalledandputintooperationforthefirsttimebya
qualifiedexpert.Hisobligationistoalsotraintheoperatingpersonnelaboutthe
usageandcommonmaintenance oftheappliance.Installationandtrainingof
personnelshouldbeacknowledgedbyhissignatureinthecertificateof
installation.
Priortofirstputtingintooperation,all securingfixingsservingforthefixationof
theappliance duringtransportmustberemoved.Inthecase ofswitchingthe
compressoronwithoutthepriorremovaloffixings,therewill bearisk of
permanentdamagetotheproduct!
Thecompressordoes notcontainanalternatepowersupply(backupsupply).
Itisforbiddenobstructtheairintake filterandtheventilatingoutletsonthelower
partofappliance.Forbiddentolift unitbyhandle!Handleisappointedformoving
unbrakedproductonthefloor.
5.1.Conditionsofenvironment
• The appliancecan onlybe installed and operated onlyindry, well-vented and dust-free area.
• The compressormust stand on aflat, sufficientlystabilebase.
• The temperatureinthe roomwherethe compressorislocated mustbe between +15°Cto
+40°C,otherwisefailure-free operation ofthe compressorcannotbe guaranteed.Suitable
ambient temperaturesare+15°Cto+25°C.

5.2.Unfixingoftheairpump
Afterunpacking,placethe compressoruprightwiththe castorwheelsfirmlyon the ground (see
annex).
• Removethe front and back coverunscrewing screws6pcs on the side of cabinet.
• Unscrewthe fourscrewsand removethe internalback cover(18).
• Removeall fixativeelements(21)aboveand underthe compressor.
• Insert the packaged evaporativetray(20)inthe baseform.
• Insert the hoseintothe cut of the foam(23).
• Screwthe internalback cover,connectthe ground wire,screwthe frontand back coverand
insert the filter(12).
Pleaseretainthe fixativeelementsforfuturetransportation of the compressor.
5.3.Compressedairconnection
The medicalcompressorisequipped withfast-on couplings WALL (9)and OUT (10)tothe rearof
the cabinet.
Tothe fast-on coupling OUT (10)-outputcompressed air-connectthe pressurehoseleading to
the applicableappliance/ respiratoryapparatus.
Tothe fast-on coupling WALL (9)-inputcompressed air-connectpressurized airfromacentral
distribution system,ifnecessary.The airofthisdistribution systemisautomaticallyconnected
through the compressorand the pressureregulatortothe outletOUTport. Insuchaconnection,
the compressorservesasback up sourceofthe compressed air.Inthe caseofthe reduction of
the pressureofairfromcentraldistribution system(under5.0bars),compressorisautomatically
switched on and thereiscontinuouslypressurized airwiththe regulated pressureatthe output
fromcompressor.
Please notethattheairsupplyfromthecentraldistributionenteringthe
compressormustbemedicalgradeair(dirtsize,humidity).Thecompressornot
modifytheairfromcentral distribution!
Airpressureinthecentral distributionmustbeinrange5to7bar.
5.4.Electricconnection
Thecompressorisdeliveredwithaplugcontaininganappropriateprotective
contact.Itisessentialtorespectthelocalelectricalregulations.Themains
voltageandfrequencymustcomplywiththeinformationontheDataLabel.
Thesupplyleadmustnotbestressedorhaveanytensionexerteduponit,and
mustalwaysbefree.
• The socketmustbe accessibledue tosafetyreasons,inorderforthe appliancetobe safely
disconnected fromthe mainssupplyinthe caseof danger.
• The relevant current circuit must be safeguarded.
• Connection ofthe equipotentialconnection (7)withotherappliancesmustbe completed
according tolocalvalidelectricalregulations.
• Fasten downthe supplylead through the socket (8).

5.5.Firstputtingintooperation
• Check whetherall fixing screwsused during transport wereremoved.
• Check that the connectionsof the compressed airsuppliesarecorrect.
• Check forproperconnection tothe mainssupply.
• Switchon the pressureswitch(6)toposition “I”.
Afterfirst putting the compressorintooperation, the airchamberofcompressorispressurized toa
‘switching-off’pressureand the compressorwill then be automaticallyswitched off. During the
following timeperiod the compressorworks inan automaticmode,i.e.according tothe
consumption of compressed air, the compressorisswitched on and off bythe pressureswitch.
During the operation,the appliancereleasescondensed waterfromthe condenser(filter)
automaticallytothe evaporativetray(20).
5.6.Additiveaccessory
• Tube forsupporting equipment
issuitableforgripping ofrespiratoryapparatuswithaccessories.Pleaseremovethe plug inthe
middleof the upperside beforeinstallation. Screwthe tube intothe socket and tighten it fast.

6.PERSONNEL(SEE ANNEX)
Inthecase ofdanger,switchtheappliance off attheswitchandpull outthe
mainsplug.
Automaticoperation.When the pressureinpressuretankfallsdowntoa‘switchon’
pressure, the compressorisautomaticallyswitched on.The compressorisautomatically
switched off when the pressureincreasestothe ‘switching off’pressureinthe pressure
tank.
6.1.Switchoncompressor
The compressorisswitched on bymainsswitch(6)byputting it toposition „I“. Switching on of the
compressorissignaled bythe green indicator(4).
6.2.Runningoncompressor
When the pressureofthe airatthe ‘Inlet’portisreduced orifthereisareduction ofpressurein
the airchamber,the compressorisswitched on and the airchamberisfilled withcompressed air.
Afterthe ‘switching-off’pressureisreached,the compressorisautomaticallyswitched off.
Pressureof the output airfromcompressorindicatesthe manometer(1).
During the operation ofthe compressor,the pointerofthe humidityindicator(2),shouldbe inthe
green zone.If the consumption ofairfroman applianceislargerthatthe maximaloutflow,the

pointerofindicatorwill movefromthe green zone and the airfromcompressorwill notreachthe
declarableparameters(see technicaldata).
The hourmeter(5)indicatestotalrunning timeof the airpump.
6.3.Cleaningandreplacementofairintake filter
Thereisairintakefilter(12)atthe frontside.It isnecessarytoclean/change airintakefiltereach
200 hours, inviewof dustiness inthe ambient used placewithmorefrequently.It isnecessarythe
filtertotakeoutofthe boxbyitsholding and pulling out, washwhen filterislittleinfected,very
infected change bynew.Insertthe clean filteruntil the sucking holeforfilterisnotperfectly
covered byfilter.
6.4.Coolingfailurealarm
Aproblemwiththe airpumpcooling signalizethe red indicator(3)and the acousticalarm.
Intheeventofcoolingfailurealarm isnecessaryensurealternateairpressure
source anddisconnectthecompressor.
6.5.Cleaningthecompressor
The productcan be cleaned bythe usualdetergents.Pleasedo notclean the productusing a
solution containing abrasivecomponents, chemicalsolventsoranotheraggressivechemical.
7.SERVICE
Repairsthatexceedtheframeworkofcommonmaintenance mustbeperformed
onlybyaqualifiedexpertortheCustomerService Dept.ofthemanufacturer.Use
onlysparepartsandaccessories approvedbythemanufacturer.
Priortoanymaintenance orrepairs,itisnecessarytoswitchoff thecompressor
anddisconnectitfrommains(pull outmainsplug).
Beforeeveryserviceintervention itisrequired toremovethe frontand back covers
unscrewing screws2x3pcs on the side of the cabinet, disconnect the ground connector
on the covers.Connectground connection on the covers,and securethe coversusing
all screwson the side of cabinet.

manufacturer,testedandmarked.Itmustnotbe
readjusted.
• Turnthe screwofthe safetyvalveseveralrotationstoleft until
safetyvalvepuffs.
• Let safetyvalvefreelypuff only forashortperiod oftime.
• Turnscrewtothe right until the limit isreached, the valvemustbe
nowbe closed.
Thesafetyvalvemustnotbeusedfordepressurizing
thepressuretank. Itcouldendangerthefunctionofthe
safetyvalve.
7.5.Replacementoffiltersofairpump
Caution–hotsurface!Aboutdisassemblytheinternal
back covercanbehottheinternal surface.
Disassemblythe internalback cover.Thesefiltersareinthe top
coverof crankcase(19).
• Using screwdriver, removethe flexibleguard.
• Removethe used and contaminated filters(A), (B).
• Insert anewset of input filters(B).
• Placeprefilter(A)intothe flexibleguard(byplainside intothe
crankcase)and then tothe opening.
7.6.Replacementoffilterinblow filter
• Loosen lock on filterbypulling it down.
• Slightlyturnthe coverofilterand pull it out.
• Unscrewthe holderof filter.
• Replacefilter(C), screwthe holderof filter.
• Placethe coveroffilterand secureitbyturning torighttill locking.

• Unscrewthe coverof filterand pull it out.
• Unscrewthe holderof filter.
• Replacefilter(D), screwthe holderof filter.
• Releasethe condensed liquidfromthe watertrap.
• Screwthe coverof filter.
Set up output pressureair:
Switchon the compressorand bytoolsPart No. 191000008 or191000009 setthe outputpressure
airflowuntil the humidityindicator(2)remaininthe green area.The controlbutton ofthe regulator
(13)unlock,rotatetosetthe demand outputpressure.Aftersetting the pressure,lock the control
button of the regulatorpushing down.
Settingthepressureinthepressureregulatormustonlybedonebyaqualified
expert.
7.8.Replacementofpressureswitch
Priortheinterventiontotheappliance itisnecessary
todecrease thepressureofairinairchambertozero
andtodisconnecttheappliance frommains.
• Dismount the coverof switch, disconnect the cords.
• Loosen anut inadirect of aarrow–on the fitting isaleft tapped
• The newpressureswitchassembleinthe reverseprocedure.
7.9.Adjustmentofpressureswitch
• Disconnecthosefromthe bottompartofairchamberand connect
pressuregauge set(toolPartNo.191000007)tothe given outlet
of airchamber.
• Withcompressorinoperation setthe required switching on
pressureofpressureswitchbypulling apartortightening springs
(1)(bothspringsequally).
• Using spring (2)adjust the value of differentialpressure.

7.10.Verificationoftightness ofjointsandcheck inspectionofappliance
Test of leakage:
• Bydisconnecting outputhosefromfast-on coupling marked OUT(10)the consumption of
compressed airisstopped.
• Pressurizepressuretank(forced startup ofcompressorcan be done forexamplebyreleasing
of part of airviasupplied device).
• Compressormust not be put intooperation automaticallyforat least 10 min.
• If it comestothe drop out of pressure,using soap waterfind the leakage atjoint-firstlyoutside
the case, then inside the caseafteritsdismounting.
• Removefound leakage bytightening orre-sealing the joint.
Inspection of appliance:
• Check the condition of hangersof pump.
• Check the condition offilter.Atregularoperation condensatefromfilter(14)isexuded
automatically.Verifythe function ofautomaticsludging bycomparing the levelofcondensate
inavesselwithscaleline indicating maximallevel.The levelofcondensatemustnotbe over
the scaleline. Inthe caseof incorrect function it isnecessarytoreplacefaultyparts.
• Releasethe condensed liquidfromthe watertrap of the pressureregulator.
• Check the condition of pumpitself:
-impuritiesincrankbox
-freedomat crankshaft
• Inthe caseof need, replacefaultyparts.
7.11.Checkingofcapacity
Beforechecking ofcapacityitisnecessarytoswitchoff compressor
bypowerswitch,letpressureairoutofairtankand unlinkoutput
hosefromfitting OUT(10).Next(Than)toswitchcompressorby
powerswitchand measure(record)the timebeforepointsstart-
stop.The capacityofcompressorissatisfied when the recorded time
isnot higherthan 45 sfortype DK50 D, and 30 sfortype DK50 DM.
Ongauging ofcapacicy itispossibleFlowmeterset(toolPartNo.
191000009).Setthe outputpressureairflowuntil the humidity
indicator(2)remaininthe position "stop".
7.12.Fixingofcompressorbeforetransportation
Beforetransportation it isrequired tofixthe compressortoprevent movement (see annex).
• Removethe frontand back coversunscrewing screwson the side ofthe cabinet, disconnect
the ground connectoron the covers.
• Disassemblythe internalback cover(18)unscrewing fourscrews.
• Removethe evaporativetray(20)underthe airpump.
• Insert the fixativeelements(21)underand up the airpump.
• Assemblythe internalback cover(18),connectthe ground connectoron the covers,insertthe
coversand filter(12).

7.13.Replacementofpistonwithconnectingrod andpistonrings
• Isnecessarytodisconnect pressurehose(1).
• Disassemblecrankcasecap (2),completecylinderhead (3),
spring (4),seatofmembrane (5)withO-ring (6)(2pcs)and
carefullytakeout cylinder(7).
• Releasescrew(8)on connecting rod withpiston (9), eject
connecting rod frombearing (10)and takeit out.
• Embed anewconnecting rod withpiston ontothe bearing (ca
1÷1.5mm fromcrank), embed cylinder(7)and ensureit withtools
PartNo.023000239 (12)with2pcs ofscrews,subsequentlyturn
severaltimeswithcrank(minimally10x), check the position of
connecting rod inpiston (11)and tighten the screw(8)on
connecting rod.If the position ofconnecting rod inpiston isnot
correct, itisnecessarytoadjustconnecting rod on bearing again
and totighten screwon connecting rod.
• Disassemblethe preparation forensuring piston,embed cylinder
ontocrankbox,seatofmembrane (5)withO-ring (6)(2
pcs), spring (4),completecylinderhead (3)and screwscrews(4
pcs)withwashers(4pcs).
• Turncrankseveraltimes,the mechanismofconnecting rod must
movesmoothlywithoutstarts, fixthe crankcasecap (2)using
screws(6pcs). Connect pressurehosee.
Replacement of the bearing:
• Stripthe bearing withtoolsPart No. 191000001.
• Press the newbearing on piston pin.
8.CUT-OFF
If the compressorisnotgoing tobe used foralong period oftime,itisrecommended thatthe
appliancebe disconnected fromthe mainssupplyand the airpressureinthe airchamberbe
released.
9.DISPOSALOFTHEAPPLIANCE
• Disconnect the appliancefromthe mainssupply.
• Releasethe airpressureinpressuretank.
• Disposeof the applianceaccording tolocalvalidregulations.
• The partsused inthisproduct, when disposed,do nothavenegativeimpacton the
environment.
