Introduction
Energy Sistem™ thanks you for buying your new MP3 Running. We wish you enjoy using it.
This compact music player and pedometer with high contrast and resolution OLED display, pedometer with Tri-
Axis technology to monitor the distance covered, plays MP3 / WMA / WAV / APE / FLAC music with smart song
browsing, ID3 Tag and LRC, 7 equalization modes, Integrated FM radio, digital voice recorder. Also includes
neckband sport earphones and one adjustable neoprene sport armband. We recommend that you fully read this
user manual in order to enjoy the product in a safe way and with the best results.
We recommend that you upgrade the firmware on your new MP3 because we have made improvements in the
system (more information in the "Firmware Update" section of this manual).
Care and maintenance
Do not expose your MP3 to shakes, dust, direct sun light, moisture or extreme temperatures.
Do not use abrasive or corrosive cleansers.

Keep the device clean and dust free with a soft and dry cloth.
Recharge the battery when the low battery icon appears on screen.
Do not disassemble the device. Any repairs must be performed by qualified Energy Sistem
Soyntec’s personnel

Battery
Your MP3 has an integrated rechargeable Li-Ion battery. It comes fully charged
from factory, but it is recommended to perform a full recharge before the first use. Recharge
the battery connecting the player to a computer using the bundled USB 2.0 cable.
Charging time is between 2 and 3 hours, depending if the player is powered off or working.
To keep the battery in good conditions, we recommend not using the player while charging
and not leaving it charging for more than 8 hours. In order to maximize the battery’s lifespan,
it is adviced to not disable completely these power saving features.
Turn On/ Off & Recharge
To power on your MP3 press PLAY for a few seconds.
NOTE: When powering on, the device performs a memory check. The power on time depends
on the total amount of memory and the amount of used memory at that moment.
Press PLAY for a few seconds to power off the device while it is on. At that moment, the
device will save your settings.
NOTE: If you power off the device directly with the reset button, your last changes in the
settings will be lost, and it will not remember the last song played or the last equalization
change, for example. In the menu SETTINGS -> Power off you will set the power off time for
the player just in case is not playing music, radio or the pedometer turned on.
To recharge your device, connect the micro USB end of the USB cable (included) to the
MP3 Running 11 and the other end to any USB port that can provides energy
(PC, USB Charger…). The OLED Screen will show is connected and then that charging is in
process. Once the charge is complete, the battery icon will show it.
Turn On/ Off and Recharge

In addition,in the menu "Settings/Power off/Sleep time" you will set the power off time for the player.
In the menu "Settings/Power off/Standby time" you can limit the time that the player stays on when anyone interacting
with it.
To recharge your device, connect the micro USB end of the USB cable (included) to the MP3 Running and the other end
to any USB port that can provides energy (PC, USB Charge). The OLED Screen will show is connected and then that
charging is in process. Once the charge is complete, the battery icon will show it.
Main Menu
The main menu has the following options:
Music / Radio / Pedometer / Explorer / Results / Recorder / Notes / Settings
You can move through the menu with the PREVIOUS / NEXT buttons and press PLAY to select the desired option.
Music Playback
Your MP3 lets you enjoy audio encoded in the following formats MP3 / WMA / WAV / APE / FLAC, thanks to the high
fidelity sound processor.
To enter the playback mode, select the MUSIC option.
To start, resume or pause your music press the PLAY button. Briefly pressing the PREVIOUS / NEXT button will allow you
to change to the previous / next track.
You can also rewind / fast forward a song by holding the PREVIOUS / NEXT button.
Use the VOLUME +/- buttons to raise and lower the volume.
Inside the MUSIC menu, a submenu will appear with the following sections:
Now Playing: Access the current playback.1.
All music: Access your music collection.2.
Artists: Access your music collection sorted by artists.3.
Album: Access your music collection sorted by album.4.
Genre: Access your music collection sorted by genre.5.
Directories: Access to folders.6.
Recordings: Access the recordings you made directly from the FM tuner or using the Voice Recording mode.7.
My Favorites: You can add your favorite songs by holding simultaneously the VOLUME + and PLAY buttons in the8.
"All Music" section.
Update Library: Refresh the internal memory to update the latest changes you made.9.

Settings
Here you can adjust the following settings:
Date / Time: Sets the date and time.
Music Settings: You can adjust the playback and repeat mode, and the EQ (defaul and manual).
Recording Settings: You can adjust the recording quality.
Notes Settings: You can adjust the text scrolling of the eBook mode.
FM radio settings. You can select the FM region and also if you want the audio in stereo quality.
Pedometer settings. Go to the "Pedometer" section of this manual.
Screen settings. To optimize the device’s battery life you can change the auto-off function of the screen, the
brightness and the lighting mode.
Shut down. Go to the "On / Off" section of this manual.
Language: Set the language you want.
System: You can update the device’s firmware (more info. in the "PC Connection" section of this manual) and or
reset the device to factory settings.
FM Radio
Your MP3 features an FM tuner with 20 station presets and the possibility of direct recording. If you want to listen to the
radio while being at the main menu, select the RADIO option. The player will tune in the same station you where
listening to the last time.
With the PREVIOUS / NEXT buttons you can scroll through the dial’s frequency range. Simple keystrokes allow you to go
back / forward, but if you keep the buttons pressed the device will enter auto-search mode. Also, when positioning the
dial on one of the station presets, the device will display its number on the screen.
Press VOLUME +/- to raise or lower the volume.
Press the MENU button on the FM dial window to access the submenu options. Scroll through the different options using
the NEXT / PREVIOUS buttons and press PLAY to select one:
Auto: Scans through different frequency ranges and saves the first 20 stations.1.
Manual: You can select any frecuency.2.
Save: Allows you to save the station you are listening to. If all 20 station presets are occupied, the last one will3.
overwrite automatically.
Predet: If you are using manual search by this option you can return to stations saved previously.4.
Delete: Select this option to delete station presets.5.
To exit the submenu, press and hold the MENU button.
You can also record FM radio broadcasts in WAV audio files. To do this press the PLAY button to start recording from
main menu of radio (dial window). You can pause and resume the recording by pressing the PLAY button. To finish
recording, press and hold the MENU button. Press and hold the MENU button again if you want to exit the FM recording
function and to return to the dial screen. All recordings are stored in the "Recordings" section of the MUSIC menu.
Voice Recorder
Your MP3 is capable of voice recording thanks to the built-in microphone. To enter recording mode being at the main
menu, select the RECORDER option.

Press PLAY to start recording. You can pause and resume the recording anytime by pressing the PLAY button. To finish
recording, press and hold the MENU button. If you wish to exit voice recording press and hold the MENU button again.
All recordings are stored in the "Recordings" section of the MUSIC menu.
Pedometer
If you want to use the pedometer, you must configure it. To do so, got to "Settings" / "pedometer settings" where you
must enter the following data:
Weight: select your body weight.
Step length: measure the length of your steps and select one of the listed options.
Goal settings: Set your goal in time or distance.
Sport: Select whether you are walking or running.
Once the pedometer set, you can return to the main menu and enter the "Pedometer". In the display you will see a step
counter and the remaining distance or time to reach the objective set goals. You must press the PLAY / PAUSE button to
start the measurement.
While pressing the NEXT button, you can access to the distance traveled in meters and the time of measurement. To
return to the previous screen hold the PREVIOUS button.
This function also incorporates stopwatch. Press the VOL + button to access it.
If you want to finish measuring your footsteps press the PLAY / PAUSE button. You can also save your data by pressing
the MENU button; which you will find in RESULTS along with its date and time.
Notes
In this menu you will be able to read stored text files.
This way you will be able to create text files on your PC like a reminder or a specific workout you want to follow, and
then check it out on your MP3 Running.
Supported text formats: xml, txt
Explorer
You can browse the content of the device’s internal memory and open files quickly.
Connecting to a PC
To enjoy your favorite music on your MP3 Energy, first you must copy the files from your PC to device.
To do so, connect the MP3 player to the computer’s USB port. (Your PC will detect automatically your device without
installing any driver).
Once this is done, you will be able to read / write onto the device’s memory as if it were a regular disk drive.
After transferring all data disconnect the MP3 player from the computer.
IMPORTANT: In order to prevent data loss, remember to perform a safe USB extraction before disconnecting the MP3
player.
Firmware Update.
Your MP3 has an operating system, commonly known as firmware, which sometimes needs to be reinstalled.
If the MP3 player crashes, restarts, or you have problems accessing the memory’s content from your computer, try
pressing the RESET button using a small pin or needle. If you are not able to resolve these problems you will have to
reinstall the operating system.

To reinstall manually the firmware go to www.energysistem.com / en / support . Select your model in the product
section and download the correct firmware version from the download area.
Unzip the file on your computer and follow the
instructions.
Warranty
Energy Sistem Soyntec SA is liable for any lack of conformity which exists at the time the goods were purchased during
a period of 36 months. Batteries are excluded from the 36-month warranty, having a warranty
period of 12 months.
This warranty covers any defects in workmanship or materials. This warranty does not cover any failure of the product
due to accidents, misuse or
alteration made by an unauthorized person.
The special 36-months warranty is valid for the European Union. For other countries, please refer to your specific
legislation or your local distributor.
