Setting Up
1. Remove the protective lm
Remove the protective lm from the watch case back.
If you use the watch with the lm still axed, it may cause dirt, sweat, dust, moisture, and so on to stick to
the watch, causing rust to occur.

2. Release the watch from the still state
If the second hand is stopped at the time of purchase, the crown is in the pulled out state.
Push the crown in and turn it to the right before using the watch.
See the following for instructions on how to adjust the time.

3. Register as a user (procedure to acquire warranty card)
The warranty card is not included with this product.
If you submit a request for warranty card issuance from the specied registration site, a warranty card which is
valid for two years from the date of purchase will be issued.

Features of This Product
Driven with energy from automatic power generation system
(SWING GENERATOR)
is watch can be driven by simply wearing and using it (wrist motion). It can store up to 6 months‘ worth of
energy for driving the watch. is allows you to use the watch without having to worry about battery replacement.

e rotor is rotated by wrist motion (self-winding).
Energy (power) is generated in the generator by the force of this rotation.
You may be able to hear the internal sound of the watch. is is the sound of the generator moving.

Operating the Screw Down Crown
is product has realized misoperation prevention and employed a screw down crown for improving the water
resistance.
Be sure to lock the crown after operating it.
Using the watch with the crown still unlocked may cause the water resistance to fail or a malfunction.

Charging with Energy
To charge one day‘s (24 hours‘) worth of energy
ere are the following two methods. Use the approximate values as a guide.
Swinging the watch
Approx. 250 times
Wearing the watch while performing daily activities
Approx. 8 hours per day
Swinging the watch
To start the watch from the stopped state, charge the battery by swinging the watch.
Swing the watch in the directions indicated by the arrows in the gure. e second hand begins 2-seconds hand
movement.
If you continue swinging the watch back and forth approximately 250 times, the second hand will change to
normal 1-second hand movement. e battery will be charged with approximately one day‘s worth of energy.
Note:
❏e most ecient way to charge the battery is to swing the watch back and forth approximately 20 cm twice within 1
second.
❏Ecient charging will not be possible if the watch is swung extremely quickly and aggressively.
❏You may be able to hear the sound of the generator moving inside the watch. Please note that this is not abnormal.

Wearing the watch while performing daily activities
Even if you do not charge the battery by swinging the watch, it can be charged naturally simply by the motion of
your wrist during the daily activities you perform while wearing the watch. To enable the watch to operate
continuously for a long period of time, as a guide we recommend wearing it 5 days (8 hours per day) per week.

Checking the Remaining Amount of Energy
You can know how many more days the watch will continue to operate (running time) by using the second hand to
check the remaining amount of energy. (Indicator display)

Note:
❏e indicator display may dier from the actual running time. Use this as a guide.
❏Indicator display can be performed up to twice consecutively.
Even if you perform indicator display twice consecutively, check the number of seconds from just one of the times.
To perform indicator display a third time, press the button aer the second hand has returned to normal hand
movement.
❏e indicated running time may be slightly longer immediately aer swinging the watch. Check the running time
again aer waiting approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
Notication when remaining amount of energy is low
When the second hand is performing 2-seconds hand movement, this indicates that the watch may stop within
approximately 24 hours.
Indicator display cannot be checked if the second hand is performing 2-seconds hand movement. Charge the
battery.

Using the Dual-Time Hand
e watch can indicate the time with the 24-hour system using the dual-time hand and bezel.
e dual-time hand rotates once every 24 hours.

When adjusting the time, set the hour hand and dual-time hand to the present time.

Indicating the time of another country or region (city) with the
dual-time hand
e time of another country or region (city) can be indicated with the 24-hour system.
e times of two countries or regions (cities) can be indicated simultaneously using the hour hand and dual-time
hand (dual-time function).
When adjusting the times, set each of the hour hand and dual-time hand to the corresponding time.
