-Description:
Transmission belt skiving, with motor-driven abrasive roller and manual table advance with
inclination adjustment for various bevelling angles. Abrasive roller height adjustment using an
eccentric shaft.
-Connecting to the mains supply:
The machine should be connected to a mono-phase 230V mains electricity supply, depending on
the voltage stated on the technical specifications plate, together with the corresponding earth
connection.

-Usage instructions:
Fit the adhesive tape over the white nylon plate in the working zone, just as shown in the figure.
This operation is essential to obtaining a good finish since it will prevent stretching and breaking
during the process:

The belt should be passed under the retaining bar up to the edge of the table, adhering the end to
be bevelled on the adhesive tape just at the table end as shown in the following photo:
Fix the belt in place using the bar by means of the knobs (A), always attempting to maintain
parallelism with the table (in other words, performing this operation on both sides at the same
time and in the same proportion):
We then adjust the bevelling angle as given in the values table releasing the milled knob towards
the outside of the machine as shown in the diagram and turning it to the required point and then
locking it again.
The abrasion roller should then be raised, using control (B), turning it anticlockwise in order to
perform the beveling operation slowly to avoid overheating the material and jerking the belt:

We assume that the roller is raised when it there is no contact between the roller and the belt
when the table is advanced towards the interior:
NOTE: Raising control (B) operates an endless crown mechanism which, in turn, rotates
the eccentric supports. This means that if we exceed the number of turns in either of the
two directions, we will produce a change in direction, even though the control continues
to be turned in the same direction.

The bevelling operation should be performed so that, at the same time, the table is moved
backwards and forwards, the abrasion roller is lowered, but in a moderate fashion. The right
hand is only used to operate the advance lever (C), with the left hand operating the raising
control (B):
We consider that the operation has been completed when there is no more abrasion produced on
the belt and the abrasion roller is resting on the height stop:
Replace and adjust the abrasive tape:
We also recommend that the polycarbonate protection is removed to provide more working space
and to avoid any damage to this protection:

When changing the abrasive belt, the machine must be disconnected from the main electricity
supply in order to guarantee a safe working environment. Once this has been done, the motor
head should be fully opened protection belt T-10:

The old tape should be removed by pulling on it at one end and rotating the roller until it is
completely free.

The entire roller surface should be cleaned with alcohol or a similar product in order to
guarantee good adherence of the new belt and a uniform level without any thickening.
Cutting the abrasive tape.
When changing the abrasive belt, the machine must be disconnected from the main electricity
supply in order to guarantee a safe working environment. Once this has been done, the motor
head should be fully opened roller cover protection.

Levelling the table with respect to the abrasion roller:
This operation will only be necessary in a situation of maladjustment due to possible knocks or
vibrations during transport.

Adjust setting of the inclination control to the 0 position:
-Warnings:
➢The machine should always be connected to the mains electricity supply via thermal-
magnetic and differential breakers and protected by an earth connection.
➢Under no circumstances should any work be carried out without the belt and roller
protections.
➢The suction nozzle should be connected to prevent the possibility of inhaling toxic particles.
➢Remove the mains electricity supply plug from the socket before carrying out any
adjustment or similar operation.
-Possible problems and solutions
If the motor doesn’t start up…
✓Check that the Emergency Off button has not been operated or verify that mains electricity
is available.
If the bevel operation is incorrect…
✓Check the abrasive tape condition or level the table.
