INTRODUCTION
The Hurricane Bead Seating Tanks are available in three models with ranging tank capaci-
ties. All models are equipped with robust air tanks, casted out of aluminum and ASME certi-
fied. The Hurricane Bead Seating Tanks are a hassle-free, simple solution to seat the beads
on small ATV up to OTR-sized tires. The Hurricane 5-gallon Bead Seating Tank is recom-
mended for small and passenger tire application. The Hurricane 9-gallon Bead Seating Tank
is recommended for most commercial tire sizes, skid steers and some tractor tires. The 13-
gallon Hurricane Bead Seating Tank is specifically design for heavy duty truck tire applica-
tion (22.5 and 24.5) as well as most construction and agricultural tires.

• Do not inflator or over flate the tire.
• Keep bystanders 20 feet away when tank is charged.
• Do not use this product for any other purpose than what it is designed for.
• Do not store or transport charged bead seating tanks. Discharge the air tank when it is not
in use.
• Always follow OSHA 1910.77 standard* while using this product.
• Always visually inspect the product before use for damage. Do not use product if dam-
aged, altered, or in poor condition. Contact our technical service department with any

1910.177(d)(1)
The employer shall furnish a restraining device for inflating tires on multi-piece wheels.
1910.177(d)(2)
The employer shall provide a restraining device or barrier for inflating tires on single piece wheels unless the rim wheel will be bolted onto a vehicle during
inflation.
1910.177(d)(3)
Restraining devices and barriers shall comply with the following requirements:
1910.177(d)(3)(i)
Each restraining device or barrier shall have the capacity to withstand the maximum force that would be transferred to it during a rim wheel separation occur-
ring at 150 percent of the maximum tire specification pressure for the type of rim wheel being serviced.

Restraining devices and barriers shall be capable of preventing the rim wheel components from being thrown outside or beyond the device or barrier for any
rim wheel positioned within or behind the device;

Restraining devices and barriers shall be visually inspected prior to each day's use and after any separation of the rim wheel components or sudden release of
contained air. Any restraining device or barrier exhibiting damage such as the following defects shall be immediately removed from service.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Always wear eyewear, hearing protection and the proper footwear while operating the
Hurricane Bead Seating Tank.
2. Keep work area clear.
3. Firmly hold the Hurricane Bead Seating Tank at an approximately 45 degree angle from
floor with guide on top of rim (Figure 1).
4. DO NOT TOUCH THE TIRE DURING THIS PROCESS.
5. Securely holding the Hurricane Bead Seating Tank by placing one hand on the Hurricane
Bead Seating Tank handle and the other on the handle/button.
6. Push button. Operating pressure of unit is 40-155 PSI from compressed air supply. Fill
bead seating tank to a minimum of 40 psi from air compressor. Increase pressure as nec-
essary. The safety pop-off is set at 165 psi (11.3 bar).
NOTE: Most often, tires can be seated between 80-100 PSI. The volume of air to properly seat
the bead may depend on the tire and may require multiple applications for accurate seating.
Larger tires may be too difficult to seat, please make sure to use the proper sized Bead Seater for the Size Tire.

BEFORE SERVICE: Prepare each wheel by cleaning the rims and visually inspecting
for any residue on the wheel surface as flying debris may enter the air during use.

WARRANTY
Products sold by Equipment Supply Company (ESCO) are warranted to be free from de-
fects in material and workmanship under proper use, application, and maintenance in ac-
cordance with ESCO's written recommendations, instructions, and specifications for a pe-
riod of 1 year (365 days) from the date of shipment to the end user, unless otherwise noted.
ESCO's obligation under this warranty is limited to, and the sole remedy for any such de-
fect shall be the repair or replacement (at ESCO's discretion) of unaltered parts returned to
ESCO, freight prepaid, and proven to have such defect, provided such defect occurs within
the 90-day warranty period (or otherwise noted) and is reported within 14 days of occur-
rence.
This is the only authorized ESCO warranty and is in lieu of all other express or implied war-
ranties or representations, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness.
Warranty claims must be submitted and be processed in accordance with ESCO's estab-
lished warranty claim procedure. In no event will ESCO be liable for business interruptions,
loss of sales and/or profits, personal injury, costs of delay, or for any other special, indi-
rect, incidental or consequential losses, costs, or damages.
