Congratulations on the purchase of an Interactive Keyboard.
The Interactive Keyboard has been designed specifically for people with special needs and should, if used in ac-
cordance with these guidelines, offer years of use.
The Interactive Keyboard offers endless opportunities to develop agility, cause & effect and balance skills in a fun
way.
Please ensure you read and follow these Instructions carefully before installing or operating the unit.
Please keep this manual for future reference.

Check packaging for signs of damage before opening.
Do not use sharp objects during unpacking.
Check the parts received against the Pack Contents.

Quick Start Guide
Once your Interactive Keyboard has been installed;
1. Switch on the mains power.
2. Step or jump on the coloured keys on the floor pad.
3. Enjoy the sound reward!
Installation details for your Interactive Keyboard
It is recommended that any wall mounted product is installed by a competent person
Please ensure you select the appropriate fixing for the wall where the product is to be situated.
Wall fixings must be strong and secure to ensure the weight of the product is stabilised.
For brick and breeze block walls rawlplugs are recommended.
For plasterboard walls suitable hollow wall anchors or plasterboard fixings are recommended.
Experia are not liable for damage or injury caused by poorly installed products.
Installation of the Wireless Speaker
1. Decide where the speaker is best suited in your sensory area close enough to a mains outlet.
2. Measure the fixing keyholes on the underside of the wireless speaker enclosure.
3. Mark the wall where the wireless speaker is to be secured and use suitable wall fixings for the type of wall.
4. Securely fit the wireless speaker to the wall.
5. Plug in the power supply to the speaker and mains outlet.
6. Switch on at the mains and on the side of the speaker enclosure to see the numerical display light up.
Installation of the Interactive Keyboard floor pad
1. Insert the batteries into the compartment on the underside of the Keyboard floor pad.
2. Position the floor pad in your sensory area where it is to be used.
3. Make sure the Wireless Speaker is switched on and the volume is not turned right down.
4. Step on the keyboard floor pad to hear the sound reward and adjust the volume to suit.
Your Interactive Keyboard is now ready for use

Volume – controls the playback volume
Pair Button – press to enter Pair Mode
Sound No – Sound Group number
Sound Select – press to select Sound Groups
Microphone – for recording sounds
Record Button – press to enter Record Mode

Recording your own Sounds
After switching on the Recordable Speaker and making sure it is paired (see pairing instructions within),
follow the steps below to record your own sounds or messages to the speaker. Note this is only for sound
groups 0 and 1, all others are pre-recorded and not user changeable.
Decide which colour on the Keyboard you want to record a sound to.
Select Sound Group 0 or 1 and Press the “Record” button – the display flashes “r” to indicate Recording Mode for a
few minutes waiting for you to continue with the next step.
Press the colour on the Keyboard and the unit will now begin recording
Make the sound you want to record. Once the sound has stopped activate the colour on the keyboard again.
This may take a little practice to get right.
If successful press the colour again and you will now hear the sound you have just recorded.
Continue to record onto the other colours of the Keyboard by repeating the above.
A single bar is displayed if no sound is available for playback.

Pairing your Keyboard and Wireless Speaker
1. Turn the Speaker on.
2. Press the “Pair” button – the display flashes “P” to indicate Pairing Mode (lasts 60 seconds).
3. Activate the Keyboard by standing on the any coloured “key” within 60 seconds and the Wireless Speaker
display will stop flashing “P” and return to the previous displayed Sound Group number. Pairing is now com-
plete.
4. If it does not respond repeat steps 1 – 3. If it continues to be unresponsive try changing the batteries in the
Keyboard (or pair to a different IRiS talker).
Operating Instructions for the Interactive Keyboard
1. Ensure the batteries in the Keyboard floor pad are fresh or new.
2. Ensure the Wireless Speaker is switched on at the mains outlet and on the speaker enclosure.
3. Turn up the volume to mid way.
4. Select the sound group you want to hear from 0 - 9.
5. Stand on any colour on the Keyboard floor pad to hear a sound reward.
6. Adjust the volume to suit.
7. Change the sound group to suit.
8. Enjoy!

Troubleshooting
Q. The unit doesn’t work.
A1. Is it switched on at the mains outlet? If so,
A2. Is it switched on at the Wireless Speaker? If so,
A3. Is the volume turned up? If so,
A4. Are the batteries in the Keyboard floor pad new or fresh? If so,
A5. Have you selected a channel which has sounds?, remember the first two channels are user recorded so if there
are no sounds recorded then the unit cannot play any sounds. If so,
A6. Have you paired the Keyboard to the Wireless Speaker? If so,

Cleaning and Maintenance
The unit should be cleaned with a damp soft cloth.
A non abrasive cleaning agent may be used for stubborn stains. Ensure no liquid enters the unit.
The unit has been designed for use by people with special needs however this does NOT mean it is unbreakable.
You must ensure the unit is not dropped, thrown, stood upon, immersed in water, etc.

Guarantee
All products manufactured by ourselves are backed with a three year guarantee.
All other items carry a manufacturers 1 year guarantee.
All guarantees are collect and return.
If your product needs to be returned to our factory we will arrange collection of the item and return it to you when
repaired, all we ask is you pack the product securely.
