Operating Instruction
Switches
The big one is the tactical switch.
The small one is the functional switch.
ON/OFF
Tap the Tactical switch to tu n on the light, elease it the light will go out.
Fully p ess the Tactical switch to constantly tu n on the light, p ess once again the light will go
out.
Mode Switching
In Gene al mode, p ess and hold the Functional switch fo 1 second to ente Flash mode.

In Flash mode, p ess and hold the Functional switch fo 1 second to the last used output in
Gene al mode.
Output Selection
In Gene al mode, single click the Functional switch to cycle th ough
Eco→Low→Med→High→Tu bo.
In Flash mode, single click the Functional switch to cycle th ough St obe→SOS.
Instant Strobe
With the light switched off, p ess the Functional switch to ente instant St obe, elease it the light
will etu n to off status. With the light switched on instant St obe, then simultaneously p ess the
Tactical switch to constantly lock on St obe.
Intelligent Memory Circuit
The light memo izes the last selected b ightness level on Gene al mode. When tu ned on again
the p eviously used b ightness level will be ecalled. St obe is facto y defaulted each time the
light is tu ned on Flash mode.
Boot-up Battery evel Indication
Each time the light is tu ned on, the batte y level indicato will automatically display the batte y
status fo 3 seconds.

Note: This only wo ks on echa geable LI-ion 18650 batte y.
Intelligent Protection
The light will accumulate a lot of heat when it is wo king at Tu bo mode. When the light is
ove heated up to 65 o above, the flashlight will automatically step down a few lumens to℃
educe the tempe atu e; when the tempe atu e is lowe than 65 , the output will g adually℃
etu n to Tu bo output level.
ow-voltage Warning
When the voltage level d ops below the p eset level with the light switched on, low voltage
wa ning will be activated automatically, then the batte y level indicato on the Functional switch
will flash ed to emind batte y eplacement o cha ging. The flashlight is p og ammed to step
down automatically to a lowe b ightness level until Eco output is eached. To ensu e no mal use,
the flashlight will not tu n off until the batte y level uns out o once the batte y ove -discha ging
p otection activates.

Note: This only wo ks on 18650 Li-ion batte y.
Charging
The batte y holde featu es cha ging function with a standa d Mic o USB po t.
1. Take the batte y holde out of the light, plug the USB po t of the cha ging cable into any USB
powe supply. and plug the Mic o USB side of the cha ging cable into the cha ging po t of the
batte y holde .
2. The cha ging indicato will display ed while cha ging, and will tu n to solid g een when fully
cha ged.
Note: Avoid conductive object like coins, sc ews and keys when takes the batte y holde out of
the light, to p otect f om ci cuit damage caused by elect ode sho t ci cuit.

**Fo eme gency situation, 4*CR123A batte ies can be used, while it is p ohibited to cha ge, and
only a ce tain output is available.
Battery Replacement
Unsc ew the head to take out the batte y holde , and then inse t the batte ies in acco dance with
the pola ity ma ks. Afte loading the batte ies into the holde , inse t the holde with its convex
top towa ds the light tail. Sc ew the head back on.
Usage and Maintenance
Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the wa anty.◎
Fenix ecommends using excellent quality batte y.◎

If the flashlight will not be used fo an extended pe iod, emove the batte y, o the flashlight◎
could be damaged by elect olyte leakage o batte y explosion.
Long-te m use can esult in O- ing wea . To maintain a p ope wate seal, eplace the ing with◎
an app oved spa e.
Pe iodic cleaning of the batte y contacts imp oves the flashlight's pe fo mance as di ty◎
contacts may cause the flashlight to flicke , shine inte mittently o even fail to illuminate fo the
following easons:
A: The batte ies need eplacing.
Solution: Replace batte ies (Ensu e batte ies a e inse ted acco ding to the manufactu e ’s
specifications).
B: The th eads, PCB boa d contact o othe contacts a e di ty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in ubbing alcohol.
C: The batte y p otection boa d is in a p otective state and unable to f ee f om it.
Solution: Take out the batte y holde and eplace it, o eplace the batte ies.
