wheel.Neverfitacrackedgrindingwheel.Replaceitimmediately,asthehighrotational
speedcouldcausethestonetoflyapart,causingaseriousaccident.
• Alwayswearsafetyglasseswhengrinding.
• Nevergrindwithoutthecoverfittedoverthegrindingwheel.
• Alwaysfitthegrindingwheelcoverandtoolresttightly,andwiththecorrectclearance.

Wheneverusingthemachine
• CheckthattheswitchisNOTin the ‘ON/1’position before connecting the machine to the
powersupply.
• Alwayskeepthepowercordoutofthewayofthetool’smoving parts.
Immediatelyswitchoffthemachinewhenever:
• Theplugorpowercordisdefectiveordamaged.

Onlyusean approved extension cable suitableforthepowerinput of the machine.The minimum
conductorsizeis 1.5 mm2. Whenusingacablereel always unwind the reelcompletely.
3. INSTALLATION
Thegrindermustbefirmlyboltedtoaworkbench.The length of the fixing bolts will depend on
thethicknessoftheworkbench.Iftheworkbenchismadeofsteel,itisadvisabletousea
woodenblockorplankbetweenthegrinderandthebench,toinsulateitandpreventvibration.

The eye shield bracket and eye shield should only ever be assembled/adjusted
with the grinding wheel stationary, and the machine disconnected from the power
supply.
• Mounttheholderofthecoverglasstogetherwiththecoverglassitself,bymeansofthe
screw(A).
• Adjusttheheightoftheholderofthecoverglassbylooseningabitscrew.The free space
betweenthestoneandtheholderofthecoverglasswillamountto 1-1,5mm.
• Fastenwellscrew(A).
• Adjustthecoverglass(seethefigureabove)insuchawaythatyourfacewillbeprotected,
attheutmost.
• Usealwayssafetyglasses.
Adjustingtoolrest
The tool rest should only be adjusted when the grinding wheel is completely statio-
nary, and the machine is disconnected from the power supply (the wall socket).
Securethetoolrest,allowingamaximumclearance(C)betweenthetoolrestandthegrinding
stoneof1-1.5mm.

Only ever replace the grinding wheel when the motor is at a standstill and the power
is completely disconnected.
• Removetheguards,usingtheabovetools.Whenreplacingthestones,rememberthe
right-handspindleisfittedwithright-handthread,theleft-handspindlewithleft-hand
thread.

• Loosenthenutbymeansofthespanner. Remove the stone.
• Cleantheflanges.Replaceoneflange,withtheconcavesidefacingthegrindingstone.
Slidethenewgrindingstoneontothespindle.Replacethesecondflangeonthespindle,
withtheconcavesidefacingthegrindingstone.Tightenthe nut securely, but not too tightly!
Replacetheguardsandadjustthetoolrest.Letthemotorrunforafewsecondsbeforeyou
starttogrind.
4. OPERATION
Selectingthegrindingwheel
Coarsegrindingwheelswillingeneralremovethemostmaterial,andfinegrindingwheelsare
usedforfinishing.Ifthesurfaceisuneven,beginbyusingacoarsegrindingwheel,andgrindthe
workpieceuntilitissmooth.Nextuseafinegrindingwheeltoremovethegroovesand
scratchingleftbythecoarsewheel,andfinishoffthe workpiece.
Grinding
To prevent the grinding surface from blocking up, avoid holding wood, lead or any other soft
materialormetalagainstthegrindingwheel.Toavoid creating grooves, do not press the
workpiecetoofirmlyonthegrindingwheel.Usewatertoregularlycooltheworkpiecebeing
ground.Woodchisels and the like should never be sharpened ‘blue’.
Take care not to lose your grip on the object being ground, as it may suddenly become jammed
betweenthetoolrestandthegrindingwheel.This can cause the stone to shatter,themotorto
seize,ortheworkpiecetoflyoff,all of which can cause injury and damage.
Wheneverthemachinehasbeeninusefor30minutes,itshouldbeswitchedoff.Allowthe
machinetocooldowntoroomtemperature.
Operation
• Checkthattheswitchisinthe“OFF/0”positionbeforeconnectingthemachinetothepower
supply.
• Pressthepowerswitchintothe“ON/1” positiontostartyourbenchgrinder.
• Alwayskeepthepowercordoutofthewayofthetool’smoving parts.
5. MAINTENANCE
Make sure that the machine is not live when carrying out maintenance work on the
motor.
TheFermmachineshavebeendesignedtooperateoveralongperiodoftimewithaminimum
ofmaintenance.Continuoussatisfactoryoperationdependsuponpropermachinecareand
regularcleaning.

Shouldthemachinefailtofunctioncorrectly,anumberofpossiblecausesandtheappropriate

gevind.Denvenstreakseharvenstredrejetgevind.Taghensyn til dette, hvis De udskifter
stenene.
• Skruboltenløsmedunbrakonøglen.Tagden gamle slibesten af. Gør klemskruerne rene.

4. ANVENDELSE
Valg af slibeskive
Genereltfjernergroveslibestenedetmestematerialeogfineslibestenebrugestilfinpudsning.
Hvisoverfladenerujævn,slibesdenførstjævnmedengrovslibesten.Derefterbrugesen
finereslibestentilatfjernedemærker, der er efterladt af den første slibesten samt til
finpudsning.
Sådansliberdu
Sørgfor, at stenen ikke slibes til, hvis der holdes f.eks. træ, bly eller andet blødt metal mod
slibestenen.Trykikke slibeemnet for hårdt mod slibestenen, da der ellers kan opstå furer.Køl
værktøj,somskalslibesafmedvand.Træmejslermå under ingen omstændigheder slibes
"blå".Sørgfor, at slibeemnet ikke kan glide ud af hånden og sætte sig fast mellem anslaget og
slibestenenunderslibningen.Dervedkanstenennemligspringes,motorenkanbrænde
sammenellerslibeemnetkanslåtilbage,hvilketkanmedførepersonskader.
Sådantænderduformaskinen
• Kontrollér, at afbryderen står på "0", før stikket sættes i stikkontakten.
• Trykafbryderenindforatstartedenstationæreslibemaskine.
• Holdaltidstrømkabletvækfradebevægendedele.
5. SERVICE& VEDLIGEHOLDELSE
