1 BenutzerhinweiseDeutsch
Die AS-Interface-Ventilinsel Typ CPA...-ASI... ist aus-
schließlich zur Steuerung von pneumatischen Aktuatoren
bestimmt und nur für den Einsatz in Bussystemen gemäß
der AS-Interface-Spezifikation geeignet. Hierbei sind die
angegebenen Grenzwerte für Drücke, Temperaturen, elek-
trische Daten, Drehmomente usw. einzuhalten.
AS-Interface-Bussysteme und Ventilinseln dürfen nur von
hierfür geschultem Fachpersonal installiert werden. Aus-
führliche Angaben zur Konzeption und Adressierung Ihres
AS-Interface-Bussystems finden Sie in der Beschreibung
Ihres AS-Interface-Masters.
Ausführliche Informationen zur Pneumatik der Ventilinsel
finden Sie in der Pneumatik-Beschreibung Typ P.BE-CPA-....
Warnung
SVerwenden Sie nur Netzteile, die eine sichere elek-
trische Trennung der Spannungsversorgung nach
IEC 742/EN 60742/VDE 0551 mit mindestens 4 kV
Isolationsfestigkeit gewährleisten (Protected Extra-
Low Voltage, PELV). Schaltnetzteile sind zulässig,
wenn sie die sichere Trennung im Sinne der EN
60950/VDE 0805 gewährleisten.
SSchalten Sie die Spannung aus, bevor Sie Steckver-
binder zusammenstecken oder trennen (Funktions-
schädigung).
SVerbinden Sie den Funktionserdeanschluss der
Ventilinsel niederohmig (kurze Leitung mit großem
Querschnitt) mit dem Erdpotential.
SNehmen Sie nur eine komplett montierte und ver-
drahtete Ventilinsel in Betrieb.

3 Adressierung
3.1 Zuweisen der AS-Interface-Slaveadresse
Empfehlung: Verwenden Sie das Adressiergerät Typ ASI-
PRG-ADR mit Adapterkabel Typ KASI-ADR von Festo.
Vor dem Anschließen an den AS-Interface-Bus: Weisen Sie
jedem Slave eine noch nicht belegte Adresse zu. Stellen
Sie Ihre gewünschte Adresse mit dem AS-Interface-Adres-
siergerät ein. Zulässiger Adressbereich: 1 ... 31.
– Werkseinstellung der Insel: Adresse 00
– ID-/ IO-Code: siehe Typenschild bzw. Technische Daten
– Eine Parametrierung des AS-Interface-Slaves ist nicht
erforderlich.
3.2 Ausgangsbelegung der Ventilspulen

4 Installationshinweise
Verwenden Sie für den Anschluss der Ventilinsel die Kabel-
dosenTypASI-SD-FK...vonFesto.Sieerreichendamit
Schutzart IP65. Gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
1. Verbinden Sie den Erdungsanschluss (M3) niederoh-
mig mit dem Erdpotenzial.
2. AS-Interface-Kabel in oberes Teil der Kabeldose ein-
drücken.
3. Kabel zugfrei ausrichten.
4. Kabeldose aufstecken und festschrauben
(max. 0,3 Nm).

Beachten Sie bei Stichleitungen:
– maximale Gesamtlänge des AS-Interface-Bus: 100 m
(ohne Repeater/Extender).
– Leitungslänge des Lastspannungsanschlusses (abhän-
gig von der Stromaufnahme der Ventilinsel und den
Schwankungen der Lastspannung).
– Abschluss eines offenen Kabelendes mit der Kabel-
kappe Typ ASI-KK-FK oder der Kabeltülle Typ ASI-KT-
FK von Festo. Sie vermeiden damit Kriechströme und
erreichen Schutzart IP65.

4.1 AS-Interface-Bus und Lastspannung anschließen
Hinweis
Eine Spannungsversorgung der Ventile über den AS-In-
terface-Bus ist nur bei Typ CPA...-ASI möglich.
Versorgen Sie die Ventilinsel Typ CPA...-ASI-Z immer
getrennt mit 24 V-Lastspannung.
Anmerkung:
Durch die Verwendung von PELV-Netzteilen wird der
Schutz gegen elektrischen Schlag (Schutz gegen direktes
und indirektes Berühren) nach Maßgabe der EN 60204-1/
IEC 204 sichergestellt. Für die Versorgung von PELV-Netzen
sind Sicherheitstransformatoren mit der nebenstehenden
Kennzeichnung zu verwenden. Die Erdung erfolgt zur Si-
cherstellung der Funktion (z. B. EMV).

The AS-Interface valve terminal type CPA...-ASI... is de-
signed exclusively for controlling pneumatic actuators and
may only be used in bus systems as agreed in the AS-Inter-
face specifications. The specified limit values for pres-
sures, temperatures, electrical data, torques etc. must be
observed.
AS-Interface bus systems and valve terminals may only be
installed by specially qualified personnel. Detailed specifi-
cations on the concept and addressing of the AS-Interface
bus system can be found in the manual for the AS-Inter-
face master.
Detailed information on the pneumatic components of the
valve terminal can be found in the pneumatics manual
type P.BE-CPA-....
Warning
SUse only power units which guarantee reliable
isolation of the operating voltages as per IEC 742/
EN 60742/VDE 0551 with at least 4 kV isolation
resistance (Protected Extra Low Voltage PELV).
Switch power packs are permitted, providing they
guarantee reliable isolation in accordance with
EN 60950/VDE 0805.
SSwitch off the power supply before connecting or
disconnecting plugs (otherwise functioning may be
impaired).
SConnect the functional earth connection of the valve
terminal with low impedance (short cable with big
cross section) to the earth potential.
SCommission only a valve terminal which is completely
fitted and wired.

3 Addressing
3.1 Assign the AS-Interface slave address
We recommend the use of the Festo addresser type ASI-
PRG-ADRwithadaptercabletypeKASI-ADR.
Before connecting an AS-Interface slave to the bus, assign
a non-reserved AS-Interface address to each AS-Interface
slave. Set the desired address with the AS-Interface ad-
dresser. Permitted range 1...31.
– The factory setting of the terminal is address 00
– ID/ IO code see type plate or technical specifications
– It is not necessary to parametrize the AS-Interface
slaves.
3.2 Output assignment of the valve coils

4 Installation instructions
Use the Festo cable sockets type ASI-SD-FK... for connect-
ing the valve terminals. You thereby comply with protec-
tion class IP65. Proceed as follows.
1. Connect the earth connection (M3) with low impe-
dance to the earth potential.
2. Press the AS-Interface cable into the upper part of the
cable socket.
3. Make sure that the AS-Interface cable is free of tension.
4. Place the cable socket in position and screw it tight
(max. 0.3 Nm).

Please note with branch lines:
– the total maximum length of the AS-Interface bus:
100 m (without repeater/extender).
– the cable length of the load voltage connection
(depends on the ccurrent consumption of the valve
terminal and the fluctuations in the load voltage).
– seal unused cable ends with the Festo cable cap type
ASI-KK-FKorthecablesleevetypeASI-KT-FK.Inthis
way you will avoid leakage currents and comply with
protection class IP65.

4.1 Connecting the AS-interface bus and the load voltage
Please note
Voltage supply of the valves via the AS-Interface bus is
only possible with type CPA...-ASI.
Always supply valve terminal type CPA...-ASI-Z with a
separate 24 V load voltage.
Please note
By the use of PELV power units, protection against electric
shock (protection against direct and indirect contact) is
guaranteed in accordance with EN 60204-1/IEC 204.
Safety transformers with the adjacent symbol must be
used for supplying PELV networks. The valve terminals
must be earthed to ensure that they function correctly
(e.g. EMC).

El terminal de válvulas AS-Interface tipo CPA...-ASI... está
diseñado exclusivamente para el control de actuadores
neumáticos y solamente debe ser utilizado en sistemas de
bus que cumplan con las especificaciones AS-Interface.
Deben observarse los valores límite especificados para
presiones, temperaturas, datos eléctricos, pares, etc.
Los sistemas de bus AS-Interface y los terminales de vál-
vulas solamente pueden ser instalados por personal cuali-
ficado. En el manual del master AS-Interface pueden ha-
llarse especificaciones detalladas sobre el concepto y
direccionamiento del sistema de bus AS-Interface.
En el manual de la parte neumática tipo P.BE-CPA-...
puede hallarse información detallada sobre los compo-
nentes neumáticos del terminal de válvulas.
Atención
SUtilizar solamente fuentes de alimentación que ga-
ranticen un aislamiento fiable de las tensiones de
funcionamiento según IEC 742/EN 60742/VDE 0551
con una resistencia de aislamiento de por lo menos 4
kV (PELV, tensión extra baja protegida). Se permiten
fuentes de alimentación conmutadas, si se garantiza
un aislamiento fiable según EN 60950/VDE 0805.
SApagar la fuente de alimentación antes de conectar o
desconectar clavijas (de lo contrario puede estro-
pearse el sistema).
SUnir la conexión de tierra del terminal de válvulas
con una baja impedancia (cable corto de una gran
sección transversal) al potencial de tierra/masa.
SPoner en marcha el terminal de válvulas solamente
cuando esté completamente montado y cableado.
