Isolate the Detection System –MANUAL Mode
The Mode Switch is the best option when working in the protected space. This switch is located on the control
panel and any installed Local control station(s). When pressed the system goes into MANUAL mode which means
that the suppression system will only operate if the MANUAL EXTINGUISHANT RELEASE is used.
All other alarm function will be operational, including any signals to other devices. This allows incidental work to be
carried out without affecting the level of protection.
Mode Switches
are located on the
panel facia, and
the Local Control
Station(s).
In Manual Mode the
display on the FIP
changes to “Manual
Mode” and the System
Inoperative operates.
Press the Yellow Mode Switch. This will the disable the
automatic activation of the system. The Manual Release
Switches will still work.
Mode must be returned to Automatic
