3.5 Check out our FLIR apps
Use our apps to analyze your IR images, create reports, and share your reports
using Dropbox, Box.net, FTP, e-mail, etc.

3.6 Quick start guide
Follow this procedure:
1. Charge the battery. You can do this in three different ways:
• Charge the battery using the FLIR stand-alone battery charger.
• Charge the battery using the FLIR power supply.
• Charge the battery using a USB cable connected to a computer.
Note Charging the camera using a USB cable connected to a computer
takes considerably longer than using the FLIR power supply or the FLIR
stand-alone battery charger.
2. Push the On/off button to turn on the camera.
3. Open the lens cap by pushing the lens cap lever.
4. Aim the camera toward your target of interest.
5. Pull the trigger to save an image.
(Optional steps)
6. Install FLIR Tools on your computer.
7. Start FLIR Tools.
8. Connect the camera to your computer, using the USB cable.
9. Import the images into FLIR Tools.
10. Create a PDF report in FLIR Tools.

3.8 Keypad

Function:
• Push to open the image archive.
3. Navigation pad.
Function:
• Push left/right or up/down to navigate in menus, submenus, and dialog
boxes.
• Push the center to confirm.
4. Cancel button .
Function:
• Push to cancel a choice.
• Push to go back into the menu system.
5. On/off button
Function:
• Push the button to turn on the camera.
• Push and hold the button for less than 5 seconds to put the camera
in standby mode. The camera then automatically turns off after 48 hours.
• Push and hold the button for more than 10 seconds to turn off the
camera.

3.9 Connectors

The purpose of this USB mini-B connector is the following:
• Charging the battery using the FLIR power supply.
• Charging the battery using a USB cable connected to a computer.
Note Charging the camera using a USB cable connected to a computer
takes considerably longer than using the FLIR power supply or the FLIR
stand-alone battery charger.
• Moving images from the camera to a computer for further analysis in FLIR
Tools.
Note Install FLIR Tools on your computer before you move the images.

3.11 To keep in mind
• By default, most cameras adapt the scale automatically. Use this mode first,
but do not hesitate to set the scale manually.
• A thermal camera has a resolution limit. This depends on the size of the de-
tector, the lens, and the distance to the target. Use the center of the spot tool
as a guide to the minimum possible object size, and get closer if necessary.
Make sure to stay away from dangerous areas and live electrical components.
• Be careful when holding the camera perpendicular to the target—you may be-
come the main source of reflection.
• Select a zone of high emissivity, e.g., an area with a matte surface, to perform
a measurement.
• Blank objects, i.e. those with low emissivities, may appear warm or cold in the
camera, as they mainly reflect the environment.
• Avoid direct sunlight on the details that you are inspecting.

• Various types of faults, e.g., those in a building’s construction, may result in
the same type of thermal pattern.
• Correctly analyzing an infrared image requires professional knowledge about
the application.

4.5 Vyzkoušejte naše aplikace FLIR
Používejte naše aplikace k analýze infračervených snímků, vytváření zpráv a sdí-
lení zpráv pomocí služeb Dropbox a Box.net, serveru FTP, e-mailu apod.

4.6 Stručný návod ke spuštění kamery
Použijte následující postup:
1. Nabijte baterii. Můžete to udělat třemi různými způsoby:
• Nabijte baterii pomocí samostatné nabíječky FLIR.
• Nabijte baterii pomocí napájecího zdroje FLIR.
• Nabijte baterii pomocí kabelu USB připojeného k počítači.
Poznámka Nabití baterie pomocí kabelu USB připojeného k počítači
trvá výrazně déle než pomocí napájecího zdroje FLIR nebo samostatné
nabíječky FLIR.
2. Tlačítkem Zap/Vyp zapněte kameru.
3. Zatlačením na páčku krytu objektivu otevřete kryt objektivu.
4. Namiřte kameru na cíl.
5. Snímek uložíte stisknutím spouště.
(Volitelné kroky)
6. Nainstalujte aplikaci FLIR Tools do počítače.
7. Spusťte FLIR Tools.
8. Připojte kameru k počítači pomocí kabelu USB.
9. Importujte snímky do aplikace FLIR Tools.
10. Vytvořte PDF zprávu v aplikaci FLIR Tools.

Funkce:
• Stisknutím se otevře archiv obrazů.
3. Navigační ploška.
Funkce:
• Stisknutím tlačítek vlevo/vpravo nebo nahoru/dolů můžete procházet na-
bídky a dialogová okna.
• Stisknutím středu akci potvrdíte.
4. Tlačítko Storno
Funkce:
• Stisknutím zrušíte výběr.
• Stisknutím přejdete zpět do systému nabídek.
5. Tlačítko Zap/Vyp
Funkce:
• Zapněte kameru stisknutím tlačítka .
• Chcete-li kameru uvést do pohotovostního režimu, stiskněte a podržte
tlačítko méně než 5 sekund. Poté se kamera automaticky vypne po
48 hodinách.
• Stisknutím a podržením tlačítka déle než 10 sekund kameru vypnete.

Účel konektoru USB mini-B:
• Nabíjení baterie pomocí napájecího zdroje FLIR.
• Nabíjení baterie pomocí kabelu USB připojeného k počítači.
Poznámka Nabití baterie pomocí kabelu USB připojeného k počítači trvá
výrazně déle než pomocí napájecího zdroje FLIR nebo samostatné nabíječky
FLIR.
• Přesunutí snímků z kamery do počítače kvůli další analýze v aplikaci FLIR
Tools.
Poznámka Před přesunem snímků nainstalujte do počítače aplikaci FLIR
Tools.

4.11 Nezapomeňte
• Většina kamer ve výchozím nastavení nastavuje stupnici automaticky. Použi-
jte nejprve tento režim, v případě potřeby však neváhejte nastavit stupnici
ručně.
• Termokamera má limit rozlišení, který závisí na rozměrech detektoru, objek-
tivu a na vzdálenosti od cíle. Použijte střed bodového nástroje jako vodítko
pro minimální možnou velikost objektu a v případě potřeby se přibližte. Zacho-
vávejte dostatečnou vzdálenost od nebezpečných oblastí a elektrických sou-
částí pod napětím.
• Dbejte opatrnosti, když kameru držíte kolmo k cíli – můžete se stát hlavním
zdrojem odrazu.
• Pro měření vyberte oblast s vysokou emisivitou (například s matným
povrchem).
