(1) TAP-T1E1 Single Port Copper Tap
Introduction
The TAP-T1E1 is a directional single-port full-duplex
device that provides an easy method to rapidly and
effectively deploy your analysis tools to monitor T1/E1
traffic between your network devices. Typically the tap
is installed on a critical T1/E1 link in the network where
monitoring and analysis capabilities are important.

Prior to installation, you may want to contact your
Fluke Networks representative first to learn more
about using the included thumbscrew mounting
bracket for mounting in either a 1U 3-bay (TAP-RMK-3)
or 4U 14-bay (TAP-RMK-14) Rack Mount Kit.

To connect the TAP-T1E1 into the network,
refer to Figure 4 below and follow these steps:
IMPORTANT
Do not exceed the maximum length of 90 meters
between end-points.

1. Connect the T1/E1 cable going to your service
provider to the TAP-T1E1 RJ45 port LINE connector.
2. Connect the T1/E1 cable going to the router to
the TAP-T1E1 RJ45 port CSU/DSU connector.
3. Connect a tap cable from the TAP-T1E1 RJ45
port TAP connector into the port of the Network
Analysis Tool interface card.
