Situation
Asitsnameimplies,the Evolution isafurtherdevelopment oftheproven model
series Ecolino and Ecopower inastandardised design.
Wedecided torelaunch the twocoffee-machine types that havebeenso successful
inthe market, andtocombine theminastandardised designmouldedonthat ofthe
Sinfonia.
Thenewlydeveloped designoftheEvolution isatthecoreof thenewentry-leveland
top-levelmodels.Althoughtheyarenowsimilar inappearancethetwomodelsdiffer
inproductoutputand consequentlyintheirapplications too(see tableoffeatures).
Even thoughwehavenowmergedthe Ecolino andEcopower intoone,thefeatures
fortheentry-leveland top-levelmodelsremainthesamecomparedwiththe Ecolino
and Ecopower.
Sales release /readiness fordelivery
Thelist belowcontains the precisedatesforthe trade-fair presentations,sales
releases anddeliverydates.
TheEcolino and Ecopower aretobephased out atthe endof February2004, which
means the Ecolino / Ecopower versions will still beavailableuntil that date, alongside
the Evolution.

Button assignment
Asmentioned earlierthesixor eight productbuttons (incl. hotwater andsteam
button) canbe programmed individually. Unused product buttonscanbe replaced
withtheblankingcapsthat arealso used ontheSinfonia,Insteadof thesilver product
buttons.Ondesignvariantsnot equippedwiththesteam and/orhot-waterdispenser
blankingcapsareusedtocover up thepositioning slotsforthe dispensers.
Productsymbolscanstill be usedforthe button labelling(application examplewith
the self-service version).

Service technician /customermenuprogramminglevel
Thelayout of theservice and customermenuprogramming fortheEvolution has
been adaptedfromtheSinfonialayout(see programminginstructions).Thismeans
thatthepresentationof the programming inthe Frankeproductportfoliohas also
been standardised.
All programmingoperations can alsobe carriedout usingtheService Tool, which is
tobeavailableas of1.03.2004 (formoreinformation see the section onCustomer
Service).
Labellingof theprintablefoil
Theprintablefoil canbe labelled individually. TheService Toolisan extremelysimple
wayof designingthelabellingand printing it outonthesupplied labellingfoil usinga
standardcommerciallaser or inkjetprinter(Service Toolavailableas of1.03.2004).
Until the launchof theService Toolall labellingfoilswill be designed andprinted out
byFrankeKaffeemaschinen AG.
Thestandardbuttonassignmentsfortherelevantbasicversions areillustrated inthe
sales folder. For customised foil labellingor design, please use the labelling template
contained inthe salesfolder andenclose it withtheorder.
Instructions
Due tothegreat dealoffavourablefeedbackfromthemarket, wehaveretained the
designstructure,packaging and formatof theSinfoniaoperatingandprogramming
instructions fortheEvolution.Theoperatinginstructions inparticularcan also be
used as averygoodsalestool. Theinstructions areavailableinGerman, English and
French.

found inthe operatingandprogramming instructions.

of1March 2004,which means that the settingsand diagnostics currentlycarried out
